We're facing an issue where Acrobat Reader will crash in the middle of printing PDFs. This causes the print to stop half way through, resulting in only around 2-7 of the pages out of the 15 selected actually ending up printing. This doesn't happen when printing any other format (when it's not Acrobat Reader handling the print). We can see in the event viewer that it is indeed crashing with a code 0xC0000005. This is happening on multiple machines within the building, regardless of if the files are stored locally or if they're on the mapped network drives. It could potentially be related, but printing through Microsoft Print to PDF works fine in this case, but otherwise, printing causes the crash as mentioned. The printing is done through a print server, deployed through group policy. The workaround we have for now is to simply use a different PDF reader, which does work fine but isn't ideal as we'd like to keep the amount of additional software needed to the minimum, and
Does adobe acrobat standard dc have a calculator tool or can one be downloaded that works within the software?
I have a user who signed into 2 different computers with same account. 1 account has the combine tool available and the other doesnt even have the combine option available. Any idea why it would be missing from 1 and not the other being the same account?
I am missing all types of tools in my Acrobat Pro DC. Such as Combine Files and Edit PDF. I dont have any other version of Acrobat installed and they arent hidden in the more tools section. See screen shots.
Ultimately trying to update to the latest version of Adobe Acrobat DC but that gives me error code: 1648. When I go to Adobe's list of error codes it tells me to try the Microsoft Installer/Uninstaller which did not work. Then it says to try the more robust Adobe cleanup tool, which links to an empty page. When I try to modify/uninstall through the list of apps it gives me that error message "No valid sequence could be found for the set of patches." It's a Windows 10 x64 laptop, anyone have any more advice on how to ultimately remove Adobe so that I can reinstall the latest version? Thank you in advance.
We're using Adobe Acrobat Pro in our content publication process - and one of the key features we rely on is the Combine image Files generated from large scans. Unfortunately since more than a year now Adobe rotates some of the image files incorrectly during the Combine process, some by 180 and others by 90 degrees. If we apply the same files again separately we can get completely different results, so very random and unreliable. We DO NOT WANT Adobe to do any "smart" rotation of the image files, or at least we would like to control it. Anyone faced this probem before? This is really frustrating as we need to create a time-consuming post-combine process to validate and correct the output. This is not productive anymore...
Hello, my Brother Printer (HL-L23200) will not print PDFs opened with Adobe Acrobat DC. I have tried on both of my laptops and I wonder if there is something I can do? I tried restarting the printer, the laptops, updating the software. Sometimes I get a note saying the printer memory is full. I called the Brother customer service and they said it was on the PDF end (I can print other documents, Word, etc). Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
When I print this pdf to my networked printer, I get the image labeled "wrong". When I print it to my networked plotter, I get the image labeled "right". I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Standard and Windows 10.It was printing fine until yesterday.I've updated my drivers twice. I've rebooted my computer. It only seems to happen with PDFs. If I export it to a Word doc it will print right, but I can't export larger PDFs and make them work. Is there a patch for Adobe I'm missing? It still prints wrong if I save as to my networkWhat else can I do to fix this issue? My IT guy is more hardware than software so I'm on my own and I print PDFs often so I NEED this resolved!
Hi I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Ver 2021.001.20145). I'm having issues when loading up diagram plans and reports (5MB +) ; the reader either crashes or loads up too slow. When viewing detailed diagram plans; initial viewing (full scale drawing) is ok but when I start to magnify/ zoom in; everything loads up to slow to practically do anything. When it comes to reports it takes about 10 mins plus to load up. I have been troubleshooting in the community but nothing seems to help. Reinstalling does no help either. I tried other light PDF readers does not have this issue. But I would still want to continue using Adobe Acrobat Pro. Any advice/ help would be much appreciated. Issue is with regards to Acrobat, not Acrobat Reader. Moving to correct community – MOD
After years working, since 2025-01-06 my Excel VBA macros saving a worksheet as pdf get "run-time Error 1004 - Document not saved. Maybe the file is open or troubles when saving". The stopping command is ActiveSheet.ExportAsFixedFormat Type:=xlTypePDF, Filename:=fn, Quality:=xlQualityStandard, IncludeDocProperties:=True, IgnorePrintAreas _:=False, OpenAfterPublish:=FalseThe worksheet copied with these macros on a second PC still works smoothly. The two PCs are updated and aligned:Windows 10 Pro (upd KB5048652)Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2412 Build 16.0.18324.20092) 64 bitVBA 7.0.1Adobe Acrobat Pro v. 2024.005.20320 (un- and re-installed)On both, however, also exporting the pdf manually with the PDFMaker plugin is VERY long and troubled, Excel hangs for minutes and the worksheet is forced-closed and re-opened at the end by the PDFMaker plugin. Last, manually Saving As .pdf in the File dialog works smoothly in the second PC, while gives the same "Document
Hello, I'm working on a fillable form (attached). I'm using Adobe Acrobat. As I am testing it, the Monthly Desired Income (column) dollar amounts show up properly. However when I move to the next column (Social Security) and input a number (1.5%), the Monthly Desired Income numbers change automatically (to two $8000 but it should be $8000 and then $8240). My screenshot is attached. I do not want this automatical change. The current script for the Monthly Desired Income is: var v1 = event.target.value = this.getField("Objective70").value;var v2 = event.target.value = this.getField("Objective71").value;var v3 = 0.01var v1_2 = v1*v2;var v3_4 = v1_2*v3;if (v3_4==0) event.value = "";if (v2==0) event.value = event.target.value = this.getField("Objective72").value;else event.value = v2 + v3_4; A screenshot of this is also attached. I need the Monthly Desired Income column to perform this calculation as well as be editable (i.e. someone may need $8000 at age 65 a

Still unable to access Poster from print. Why is Adobe remaining silent on this.
I've been pasting a specific PNG file with transparency in Acrobat Pro for several years with no issues. After an Adobe upgrade, the same image copied then pasted on the following page is reduced in size, has a black background and pastes in the center of the page. Before the upgrade, it would paste the image as it appeared on the prior page and place it in the same location on the page on which my cursor is located. I don't see a solution that addresses this issue. The best solution so far has been to right click and select Replace Image, then move to the proper location and enlarge. I thought this would clear up when I upgraded my PC and loaded all new software. Nope. Same result. My System - Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon, Windows 10 (Version 2004 build 19041.985); Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Version 2021.001.20155. Any ideas? Thank you. [moderator corrected the subject. I have a rental agreement that I would like to update with some conditional form fields. I allow my tenants to choose either a 3-month or 6-month autorenewing contract, but also like to spell out for them the months which the contract will renew on. To make it super easy for me, and to not make me look/feel like an idiot counting on my fingers when a tenant sits down with me to sign, I would love to have either a dropdown with the month of the initial signing, that pre-populates the next signing months based on their term. For example, if they sign a 3-month renewal lease in January, then the next form will auto populate April, the following July, the final in September. Or, if they choose a 3-month in March it would be >> June >> September >> December. Does that make sense?
This is a generic PDF where I clicked on the "Edit" menu option, and I run into this problem constantly. Acrobat thinks the line in this text is a separate text box rather than just a line. It creates the "12/26/2024" as a separate text box that I cannot access by clicking on no matter how close I zoom in, because the "underscore text box" is covering it and will intercept the mouse click. How do I move this "underscore text box" to the back so that I can access the "12/26/2024" text box?
Hi, I'm at my wits end with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2023.I am trying to add digital signature fields to a form, like I've done a million times before on old versions, but it now appears as a text box even when the properties say it is a signature.I saw a solution to this was to revert to the old UI, which I have done, untick 'this document requires signatures' and find a 'more' button but I don't have that? Screenshot 1: My screen when opening the PDFScreenshot 2: Yellow highlight under the signature field tool used, and the resulting fieldsScreenshot 3: The preview of the field being text. This is how it is when saved as well. Please help!
I'm trying to publish an InDesign file to the publishing portal, but linked text icons in my headings are collapsing inline on top of each other. See here: https://indd.adobe.com/view/07d3e215-26a6-4a24-b158-326236a2b417Have manually fixed page 5 and 6, but you'll see all the other pages, where there are headings for each supplier, the icons are collapsing. This used to work, but nothing else has changed. What's broke Adobe?
I have several PDFs that I edited for accessibility and security in Acrobat, and I'm trying to share them using Google Drive. The Adobe settings prevent editing, copying, and printing in high-def, so that anyone can read the PDF, but it's at least a little harder for people to plagiarize the content. When I upload the PDFs to Drive, it's very unclear whether those settings have carried over or not. When I open the Google link preview to the PDF, I can easily copy and paste and print. I haven't found any options to fine-tune these settings in Google other than the general permission settings (which are pretty all-or-nothing with no option to permit some actions and not others). Anyone have any insight into this? Is there any way to protect my PDFs across platforms and PDF readers? Is there a better PDF editor for this? Should I just use a different file sharing platform? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!
Windows 10 Ent 64-bit, Acrobat XI Pro (11.0.18), Office 2013. User reported loss of "Save to PDF" functionality in Word. Checked COM addins and the "Adobe PDFMaker Office COM Addin" was unchecked. Checked it, closed Word, re-opened Word, found it unchecked again. Ran Word as a local administrator and the box remained checked (or unchecked) across numerous changes in state & restarts. Per numerous pages I've tried the following:Applied latest updates & ran repair installs on Office & AcrobatConfirmed that HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\PDFMaker.OfficeAddin Loadbehavior is set to 3Checked file system permissions on PDFMaker directory. Found them lacking so added Domain Users with Read permission.Run RegSvr32 to re-register the relevant DLL'sRemoved & re-added the COM addin As noted, this is not an issue if the user is local admin. Any thoughts on how to get the enabled addin to persist after closing Word? Thanks
I have 5 computers all with 12th gen i9 CPUs and EVGA 3080 Ti GPUs with each holding 64-128 GB of G. Skill RAM. Out of all 5 computers Adobe Acrobat is Not Responding and crashes. I have updated each computer, followed ALL of your troubleshooting methods on your website and in these forums. Accumilated 10-12 hours of my own time following Adobe guidelines to "fix" their program. Yet, the program is unusable. I even spent my own money to have two SEPERATE IT companies remote in on all FIVE of my computers to try and find the problem. $617 later they can't even find the problem to make Adobe not crash. I am paying to use your software and paid a 3rd party to try and find out why its crashing. Still, I am left with a non functioning software. How is this even possible?
I have a 1.5GB Word file with 60 hi-res TIFF images. How do I convert to pdf for professional printing without losing the resolution of the images?
