Acrobat is unusable why on earth are they trying to charge for it? I remember using this program not too long ago and I was able to accomplish my tasks but now it just full of error messages and glitches. As of 1/8/25 this program is garbage and Adobe should be ashamed of themselves for trying to charge a fee. WASTE of time and money aviod Acrobat at all costs as it is USELESS!!!! 

Hello! I have been using the mobile app Adobe Scan for some time and love it, however as of recently it has stopped working. I scan on the app no problem, and can view the document on the app itself, but when I try to open it on my laptop I get this error message every time:I have tried many things without avail, I am hoping this community can offer me some suggestions.Thanks in advance.

When my dropdown menu selects a rank, specific text field become visible. I'm trying to have a digital signature block validate other required text blocks when signing, and then if the required blocks aren't completed, then have the signature block cleared with a warning pop up saying " Please fill out all Required fields." while having the Digital Signature block be required and reset the block back to required if it is not signed, I just can't figure out the JavaScript for this feature.

I came across this update: https://community.adobe.com/view/t5/acrobat-discussions/adobe-acrobat-and-reader-december-2024-updates-now-available/td-p/15048103 and it looks impressive. I am curious do the new AI Assistant features like contextual prompts and intuitive categorization, require specific hardware specs or additional permissions to function fully? Also since the rollout is phased, is there any way to know when these features will be available for everyone?

Hello,I have attached a KMZ file to my PDF and I would like to have the viewer click a link in the document copy  and have that file open. How do I do this?

I have a date field where I need a certain format for the date but I have a custom format script showing an instruction that will go away once the applicant types text in the field.  For example, I want the applicant to see (MM/DD/YYY) on the text field. If they type in it, then that default instructional text will be replaced. I also want the date format (which is already available in the options) to be applied. Here is the custom script I have for the default instructional text:// Custom Format script for text field if (!event.value) { event.value = "text goes here"; event.target.display = display.noPrint; } else { event.target.display = display.visible; } Is it possible to have 2 or more custom scripts at the same time?

Acrobat appears to have three options for adding signatures: "Add a digital signature," which is the one in Acrobat Form and the one I have used. Then there are "Add a signature field" and "Add a signature block" under Prepare Form for E-signing. I don't understand what those two are for and what situation they'd be used in. Can anyone help explain this to me?

This is a continual problem where the Actobat is not responding, so I force quit.  It WILL NOT repon.  I've had to reinstall several times.   The last time I found a fix that instructed me to go to Activity Monitor and quit certain functions.  I can't find that post now and am not sure what is going on and how I can fix this so it will not continualy happen.   

When I use Send for Shared Commenting, I use a company internal network drive for shared reviews. This was working fine until I received the last update to Acrobat in late October; now, when I select the location, I receive an error that shares "Adobe Acrobat cannot write to the file destination provided. Enter a valid file location." I verified that I have full rights to this location and tested to make sure that I can create and write to files and folders there. My company help desk also had me try another location that I have full rights to. Another writer at my company who uses this process gets the same error on locations that have worked up to now. Was this broken with the latest update? If so, how soon will it be fixed?

Hello, I have some coworkers that have their files autosaving to the desktop.  They are not manually saving these files.  The bad part is they won't even show up until the next day on the desktop.  For example this happens when opening a PDF from an email when you don't actually need to save the file.  

I work with newest version of Acrobat DC running on Mac OS Ventura. Is there finally a solution to disable this annoying start screen?

Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 2023.006.20320macOS Monterey Version 12.6.8Printing on an HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP I have printed thousands of A7 envelopes. My Adobe Acrobat recently updated and now they will not print correctly. I have the custom size entered into the print settings in Acrobat. I am doing everything the same as I have always done it. The only difference being the newly updated Acrobat. I finally got it to align properly when I feed through tray 1, but this means I have to hand feed each envelope one-by-one. I am a graphic designer printing many wedding envelopes, so this will not work for me. Hoping there is a solution to this. Is anyone else having this issue with the new Acrobat? 

My other CC apps appear to work ok but I can't open pdfs on my Windows.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it stilll won'd work.   I get the following error message.I'm running Windows 11 Update 24H2

I've recently purchased a plan for my business since I use Adobe Acrobat a lot.My current  version is: Continuous release Version 2024.005.20320 64 bitMy problem is:Whenever I open a PDF it will open successfully, but soon after I will get a message..."contacting http://ocsp.digicert.com for ISCP based revocation checking, press ESC to cancel"Whether I let it continue until the process seems to have completed or whether I cancel the result is the same - everything on the Adobe Acrobat open screen freezes up.  I have to go toWindows and close the window and restart from scratch.The result is I am currently paying for the full Adobe Creative / Acrobat and yet using "iLovePDF"online to work with my documents.  I have tried repairing the initial install and still have the same issue, should I cancel my plan??? What's wrong with this picture???????? and more to the point what the he!! is to be done to correct this huge inconvenience and quickly!!!

Hi We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 19We noticed that when applying redactions to some documents, that text below the redacted text just disappears. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks  

MacBook Pro, chip Apple M3 Max 18gb  Illsutrator and other applications downloaded freeze contiousluy throughout the day and result in me having to force quite. Is anyone able to help troubleshoot the issue?  ThanksTodd 

Hello,  I would like to ask if it is possible to list all spot colors in Acrobat Reader. If not by integrated tools, perhaps via script? I checked the Acrobat JavaScript reference but could not find anything related to spot colors. Thanks for your time,David

Acrobat was saying that it was fully up to date, was not so I attempted to uninstall the app to reinstall. The uninstall came up with no valid sequence could be found for the set of patches. Then I attempted to use the cleanup tool. The cleanup tool could not locate acrobat and would then crash. Then I attempted to remove everything adobe from my computer. Creative Cloud and all the random various apps that Adobe adds to your computer. Creative Cloud would not unintstall completey, because 'there are other apps that still require Creative Cloud' or something to that effect. I reinstalled Creative Cloud, which downloaded the current version with no issues, but nothing has changed the status of Acrobat. My account states that Acrobat is installed on my desktop, but the open function is grayed out. There is no Shortcut or filepath for Acrobat on my computer. The Cleaner tool cannot repair or uninstall Acrobat because it does not exist and a new Acrobat setup.exe does not work because

I created a text field named [unit_section_totaldef] that sums up the values of other text boxes.I also have 3 fields named: [unit_section_classification][unit_section_baseAP][unit_section_standard.move]I would like to fill in each of the 3 fields with different text based on the value of the [unit_section_totaldef]: 0 - 75 = Class 1 | 1d8+2 | 576 - 150 = Class 2 | 1d8+2 | 4 151 - 225 = Class 3 | 1d8+3 | 3226 - 300 = Class 4 | 1d8+4 | 2 300+ = Class 5 | 1d8+4 | 1 I believe it would be something with the collections fields, but the best I could do was if/elseif statements and thats not efficient.  Can someone assist me with this?

Thank you in advance for your assistance. I am evaluating 8.0 Professional on my pc (XP SP2 w/ 3.5GB of RAM and 2.5GHZ CPU). I want to see if the Professional can modify margins of pdf files that I get from various places but I am not finding anything in the documentation or via google. This should be an easy thing to do, like in MS Word you go to "Page Setup" and change the margins. I cannot find this functionality in Acrobat 8.0. Can someone please tell me how to modify the margins? The document in it's present configuration wastes paper and leaves alot of it blank when it could be printed on. Trying to be a conscientious worker by not wasting paper and Acrobat is not cooperating with me. Thanks, Erik
