My Word file is 5x8 but it converts to 8.5x11

Hello,

I just got Acrobat Pro and can't find information on page size. I found where to change size, but 5x8 isn't an option. This is a novel with an ISBN number attached, it must be 5x8. I couldn't find anything in the help files.

I also can't find the preset for "high quality print."

This is for upload to Ingram Spark.

Thanks

Actually, Acrobat can be used to scale the pages of your file to a specific size, either proportionally or not, but it requires using a script (or the Preflight tool, in some versions of Acrobat Pro).

I've developed (paid-for) tools that can do it either way. You can find them here:

Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Scale PDF Pages

Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Scale Pages (Non-Proportionally)

Hi Drathaar,

There is nothing in Acrobat Pro to change page size. That needs to be done in the original program that created the document. Acrobat can only create PDFs of what the original was. If the original is not the right size, that's where the problem is and needs to be corrected there.

Did you make the original? If so, what program did you use? Word? InDesign? What?

I just checked, I have it in Word (my file, I wrote the book) and it's 5x8. I already uploaded it to Amazon as 5x8 and passed their QA. It's already selling there.
