Watermarks printing as black text on every page except the first

I'm printing PDF documents with a translucent watermark in the background and on the first page of the document it's printed as shown on my laptop screen however the second page onwards the watermark is printed as solid black

I created the PDFs on Adobe Acrobat but it isn't the file as a collegue can print the file with no issues, I have a chromebook but never experienced this issue with documents on this laptop before

Any help would be appreciated
