PDF iFilter is a program from FoxIt Software, not Adobe.

Wrong forum to ask the question!

Contact FoxIt for tech support and programs for their products at https://www.foxitsoftware.com/

Adobe's a great company, but don't ask them to give you tech support on their competitor's product

You might not need something like iFilter anymore, since most operating systems, content management systems, and search engines have built-in capability to search within PDFs and their metadata.

FYI, although Adobe created the PDF file format around 1990, they transferred it to the ISO for public domain opensource use in 2008. FoxIt and other PDF-making companies now have software to make, use, and edit PDF files.

All of Adobe's brands of PDF-related software have the Adobe name in them and sometimes the registered trademark Adobe ®.  This lets you quickly see if your software is an authentic Adobe brand of PDF software.

Bevi,

Our application catalog shows that there are two records for the PDF iFilter application one has a vendor of Adobe and one has the vendor as Foxit Software company. The one for Foxit’s version is not evaluated so it cannot be installed in our environment. The one our users are working with has the vendor as Adobe, i.e. – Adobe Systems PDF iFilter 11.0.01 (see below). So I know we are using the Adobe version of iFilter, which was EOL in 2017, but something has to replace it?
