Hi, guys.Whenever a pdf is downloaded by IE, it will be openned by Acrobat automatically.This disturbs me to download the next pdf.Is there any way to disable it?Thank you very much!

I uploaded an image and inserted some text boxes, then I saved it. Then i tried to go back and re-edit the same text boxes but it won't let me. I've double clicked on the text box area but it won't let me do anything to the existing edits. I can add more text boxes thought. Help please.

I have a few hundred posts since 2006.  Suddenly a couple days ago the number was reset to 0.  I didn't create a new account.  Did set "remember me" at signin.Not sure its a big deal but.....Tom

I understood that if the original poster marked a post as the Correct Answer, that post was immediately embedded in the opening post, and the thread was automatically marked as Answered. However, I have just seen this in the forums in Spanish, with the first answered marked as Correct but with the question marked "Assumed Answered" and no embedding:Is this normal, or a glitch?

Dear Uncle Adobe,I was advised by Todd to tell you about a bug found, but was unable to find dedicated thread, so I start my own - don't judge strictly.I found out that after opening two or three threads Internet Explorer 9 ceases to open next ones in a new window or a new tab and just hangs in an attempt, whereas keeps opening them in the same tab (by just clicking on a link)...Issue doesn't exist in other browsers (FireFox, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari)...

Hi,I'm new to the forum and tried to find an answer but I'm not seeing it so I apologize if this is covered somewhere else.I've been using Premiere Pro (CS4) for a couple of years.  I've made extensive use of SUBCLIPS for projects and I found they helped organize the building a complex sequence in several documentaries and they have worked well for me - until my system crashed. While the project opens and I find all media, I find that all SUBCLIPS are gone.  Have I lost them forever?  Can they be recovered?I have built a new system and installed my old data hard drives, but I have a newly loaded C-drive.  I am running Windows 7 on both the new and the dead system.  I can still extract data from the old C-drive if needed.   I am wondering just how Subclips are stored.  They do not appear to be files – where do they live?  Can they be transferred?  I would really like to avoid the number of hours it will take to rebuild those subclips.Tha

Does it make any difference whatsoever where one purchases their Adobe programs . . . specifically from Adobe directly or from Amazon.com (an authorized seller NOT Amazon Marketlace)? I ask bkz I need to purchase 2 programs (Adobe Acrobat X Pro and Creative Suite 5,5 Web Premium) and after product, shipping and taxes I would save $100 buying from Amazon. I am a graduate student and this is a sizeable sum, but I want to make sure I would be getting the exact same current program purchasing from Amazon with the same technical support (if any) and have the exact same experience now and in the future (ex. still eligible to purchase updates in future, etc.) as I would purchaing from Adobe directly. In other words, will Adobe recognize the purchase from Amazon in the same fashion it would from its own store . . . I would not any way want to find I was penny-wise and pound foolish . . . Thank you very much.

The format of email notification has changed.  Some messages have subject heads prefexed with Re: while most of them don't have.  See this picture:Now it is impossible to know whether the message is a reply to a problem or is it a new problem thread.  Is there a hidden configuration in Jive about this?Thanks.

Hello Friends,I have been using Photoshop CS4 & CS5 as my only photo editing software. I also use Canon Zoom Browser software to compare my photos after they are edited. After having no trouble for 3 years, now after I edit an image with Photoshop and try to open it with the Canon software the software freezes up. Can anyone help me with this. I use Windows Vista on my desktop & 7 on my Laptop and get the same results so I do not feel like it is the system.

Just made an observation, regarding the editing screen, and the URL Attachment pop-up.In the old Jive, the cursor automatically positioned in the editing screen, ready to enter text (an improvement from much older forum software, where one had to click in the editing box), but if one mis-typed text, and deleted all of it, the cursor disappeared, and one had to click back in the editing box. I just did that, expecting to have to click again to get the cursor - but in the new Jive, it was still there, though I had deleted everything. I like that.Also, with the URL Attachment, when the pop-up dialog box cycles through, the "http:" is already highlighted. As I most often have done a Ctrl+C of the desired URL, I already have that. IIRC, in the old Jive, one had to click-drag over that "http:" so that the full URL would replace it. I like that.While minor, they save me clicks, and moments, and that can add up on a busy day.Bound to be some more "improvements," that I have just not encountere

Dear Uncle Adobe,I regret to inform you that some features in new Forum look upset minor amount of users.Personally I have nothing against how a User's Stuff is displayed and am convinced that embedding 'Correct' answer into original post possesses promising future, but felt it my duty to report about a few complaints.Although some of your team already interfered, trying to calm a crowd with a promise to turn 'embedding' feature off, the rest issue is not reconciled.Hope we would be able to agree on some filters that would allow to sort User's Stuff according to- threads started by a user (all ones, not just 'answered' or 'open' questions);- time a user participated in (not just time of latest update by someone responded in a thread a user ever participated).Yours faithfully,Fuzzy Barsik

Somehow I didn't notice until this morning, but the reply button is now Javascript.This means I cannot rightclick it in my browser and choose "Open in New Tab."When responding to a mildly complicated thread, I used to do that, so I could easily go back and review multiple posts in the thread and incorporate responses to them in my reply.Now, the basic editor sort-of helps with that, since it is on the same page with all the responses. But:1) I usually need to use the advanced editor, so it's not much help2) It was nicer to use tabs, so I would not lose my place in the thread while composing the reply.Any chance of a fix? Does it annoy others?

The update to Jive 4.5.6 is schedule for "sometime" this month... anyone want to bet on when?I pick the last week, 9-25 thru 9-30

I just noticed that the navigation between discussions is no longer available (or I don't know how to turn on the widget for it). I used to open a discussion and then just step through them. Now I have to back up and go to the next one -- that may no longer be marked based on where I just was. This is making it more difficult to navigate quickly through a series of discussions to see if there is anything of interest or folks need help. Have I missed something?

On a user's 'People' page, the old tabs for:Username > Recent ActivityUsed to be a chronological listing of all posts to whichthe user has recently contributed, without any duplications.=and=Username > Username's StuffWas a chronological listing of content originated by the user.These have now become:Username > ProfileNow accompanied by a duplicate-riddled 'Recent Activity' list.=and=Username > Username's Stuff > Username's Latest ContentThis is now a just a longer version of the jumbled mish-mashof new and old posts in which that the user may or may nothave recently participated that now appears as the username pop-up..I would often check posts originated by specific forum members,Adobe employees and Community Professionals who are knownto not waste the bandwidth by originating an irrelevant post.With the omission of any ability to easily list content originatedby a specific user, this is now much more difficult to do.

I really like the things that Photoshop is able to do but have some difficulty in learning all that it is capable of doing.  Are there any training videos showing what it can do and how to use it?  It would come in handy as I plan to start using more photography on my blog (http://davidenglert.com).  Also, if anyone has any ideas as to whether or not one of the other Adobe products could be useful for me I'd appreciate the input.

In the new discusssions when you click on discussions link in the email notifier after page is loaded if Blink and reloads again. Almost like a shutter on a camera closes and opens. I can put up with it though, the forum software has been improved so much I am afraid if its tinkered, it will break.

I'm finding it difficult to read the new forum because of the new variable-width design. I have a 15" widescreen monitor and I have to physically move my head to read long sentences. I can't imagine what it's like on a 30" screen.It's much easier to move your eyes / head vertically when reading so a lack of horizontal space is an advantage when it comes to readability. It's also much easier to skim through it. This is why newspapers and magazines are printed in columns instead of across the entire page.Any chance this can be changed back or at the very least able to be switched off in preferences?

I have just received this error message:Look at the red letters in the above picture.  The messagecontains plain text and nothing else.

All e-mail notifications in my preferences are turned off, e-mail is still coming. Please stop it

Can I easily sett ALL forums to the Disussions tab, not the (default) Overview tab?
