We have a Help project (Robohelp 2017) that has a fairly long name; is there a way to make the name of the project break where we want it to? Have many Word documents that I'll be adding to a brand new project (RH2020.3.32).  Added seven (7) folders for various company software modules. Ran into a problem when I added the 8th folder for a General Ledger Word document and started adding topics to that folder...the "folder" seemed to be a section. I could not view the the two topics I added from the Author>Contents panel. When I located the files in Explorer, I could view the General Ledger folder and the two topics that were added. Is the way RH is meant to work? Any recommendations or workarounds? Ideally, I'd like to keep everything organized as I'm also learning both RH again as well as the company software, and I'd like to have a folder for each Word document to stay organized. I may need 30 or more folders. Is that possible?    [image added by moderator - please use image icon in web interface instead of attachments]

I am trying to produce a Responsive HTML5 Output on Rh2020.3.32 version.  The Output generates and I am able to launch/view it.  I can also produce a Publish version of my pages and view them. When the output finished the generation, I am getting notified "Responsive HTML5 generated with some warnings.  View Log". Inside the log, there are lines with this statement: Error occurred while parsing inline style :1:7: Missed semicolon: "width:661.3px border-collapse: collapse; margin-left: 0.9pt; margin-bottom: .001pt;" 1. I do not see a way to click on the statement to open the page that has an error occurring.2. This statement doesn't tell me where the error is occurring. I have went to the pages listed above and below the error to view the html code and cannot see any warnings. Does anyone have any idea how to help me? 

Is it normal that a picture in a content is automatically indent, as soon as a figure caption is used?

HiI have upgarded all 3 fixes of robohelp 2020 still CSH Tool and other tools are not available. 

Hi,I am new to RoboHelp 2020.3.32. I created a first project and have successfully generated pdf and Frameless output.I also want to create and maintain text strings for a software application, so that they can be used within the application for tool tips etc. How can I implement this?These text strings need to be exported from Robohelp in XML and imported to the software?Is there a proven workflow for this with Robohelp? 

We have existing responsive html5 online help developed using RH 2017.We are now moving to a frameless output in RH 2020.I was looking at this URL https://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh_tour/rh2020/outputs/calling_csh_help.htm,If I generate the frameless output in RH 2020 and just copy the output to the help server, it wont work, I assume. There is some difference between the 2 outputs. Does anyone know what it is? I need to tell my development team to update their code to now show context-sensitive help from a frameless output.

I want to add a button to my Azure Responsive HTML5 layout toolbar that when clicked, will allow the user to email a link to the current topic.I was following the steps on Peter Grainger's site for this (Email this topic) But it seems that I have to hard code this bit of the script: mailto:someone@theirdomain.comIsn't the point of this button that users can choose where to send the link to? So how can I hardcode it?Peter, if you're there, I'm sure I'm being totally daft but I can't work this out!Using RH2019.

We have set up our Robohelp project with correctly mapped topics, but are unable to invoke them from our client code. The sample RoboHelp_CSH.cs file that is delivered with Robohelp has a comment at the beginning that implies the base Url is http://www.myurl.com/robohelp/rest, but our published output contains no robohel/rest or even just rest. I can, however, see a file called default_csh.xml, which does contain our mappings. All the online help I have found talks about how to set up mappings, but I can find no example of how to use them in a finished site. The online docs also refer to a CSH Test Tool, which does not seem to be included with RH2020 I am sure there is some detailed documentation for this somewhere, and I have simply been unable to find it, so any assistance would be appreciated.

I got asked to integrate RoboHelp search into an external search and now I am looking for an endpoint on RoboHelp to trigger such a search, get some responses in a defined format (JSON?) to be able to consume that then. But I could not yet find an API for that. Anyone around who could help me with that? Is there an API that I can call with "curl" to get some responses? Essentially I have a search term, want to get the top X search results from RoboHelp along with the URL on RoboHelp and then render this for the enduser. The API docs I got sent are for showing RoboHelp from different digital entities (web, Java app, C# app, ...), but not a generic API for me to call into. This is the API I got sent to:https://help.adobe.com/en_US/robohelp/2017/robohtml/index.html#t=book%2Frob_createhelp_ch%2FInformation_for_developers-.htmIs there something better around? We have over the last year converted a huge number of word documents into Robohelp and have had to find solutions to a number of issues, but have finally got there.  This process was manual document by document as we wanted to do improvements on them all as we did it.  We now have a couple of other products that we need to potentially move a large number of documents - one that's about 80 documents, another that is about 500.If this could be automated that would be great, instead of having to manually import them.  Just wondering if anyone has automated the conversion of multiple word documents into Robohelp.  Also Word contains so much rubbish HTML in it, does this cause an issue when it's imported.  So any advice would be useful.

I am using Robohelp Trial while I wait for my new license request to be approved. I understand trial is a totally functional version. Created a new project which contained a default 'First Topic'. Imported a word document to make a new topic. Generated content and published to filestore, and ONLY the first topic appears there - nothing for the new topic I imported. Is there some step I have missed as a newbie? TIA

I've published a RH project in 2 formats - frameless and HTML5 - and in both instances when a user clicks on a search result, the topic heading font size changes. I've gone through all the layout settings and don't see a way to prevent this. Thoughts?I'm using RH 2019.0.14 by the way.

I am currently using Rh Version 2020.3.32.  In my Responsive HTML5 published page, users are not able to search using numbers.  I have pages written with a numbering system.  The number is in the Title, File Name, and on the page itself (see images).  I have added the numbering system as search keywords and that did not solve the issue either.  It is important for my users to be able to search by number.  Can anyone help? Is this a known issue?     

Hi I want to include an Excel Spreadsheet in my pdf and html output. What is the best way to acheive this?I tried saving my spreadsheet as a web page and importing it into the project but the html file just had undefined in it. I copied and pasted a spreadsheet into a topic and that actually worked quite well. But, obviously, you cant sort on the columns.Can you link to an Excel spreadsheet from a RH topic?Thank you for your help

Greetings! We've been using RH 2019 Classic for about a year with Sharepoint 2016 on-premise for version control. Knock on wood, it has been working almost flawlessly.  For the past few months, we've been also testing RH 2020 with Sharepoint Online as version control. There, we noticed the following features missing:No way to restore to a previous version of a topic from within RHNo way to even see a topic's history  from within RH (list of the previous versions, who made the changes, check-in comments, etc.) The lack of this CORE functionality left us completely puzzled. And the only remote workaround has been to locate the files in Sharepoint Online and to revert to a previous version there while RH is closed.  Talked to Adobe and simply they stated that these features are not available. I asked them if it's on their roadmap and they said they'll ge tback to me, but nothing so far.  For those of you using RH with Sharepoint Online.....have

Hi, Everyone. I've just started using a browse sequence. It works great when only generating regular output. But if I add Generate Output for SharePoint to my output preset (frameless), the output process hangs on "Indexing references." If I remove the browse sequence, the output generates just fine, even output for SharePoint. Or if I de-select Generate Output for SharePoint, then I can include the browse sequence. This one is time sensitive -- I have a major presentation to do on Monday. Any advice for me? Thank you!

When I import an MS Word file with a bulleted list, the next topic begins inside a bulleted list and it should not. In addition text following a bulleted list is indented when it should not be. Following a bullet list with a table fixes the bullet problems. I remember reading an article about preventing bullet list problems using Word, probably on the excellent grainge.org, but I can't it again and I don't remember it addressing this simple case. I'd say I've overlooked something but this is such a simple case I can't think what it might be. Hi, Everyone. I've been testing out the free trial of RH 2020 (2020.3.32; frameless). To do this, I've upgraded a project from RH 2019 (new UI, 2019.0.14; frameless).  After the upgrade, my three buttons no longer work. They seem dormant -- not responding to clicks in any way. (The other 3 buttons, in the right panel, do work.) I've checked the configurations of the filter button in the output preset. Seems no settings have changed. Any advice for me? Thank you!

Hi, Everyone. In both RH 2019 and RH 2020, what is best practice when assigning condition tags? Specifically, I have two condition tags, based on the role of my end user: ContractorsEmployees The DCF filter is working great. However, I have two questions. Filtering works the same way whether I apply the condition tag to each page in a TOC book or just the TOC book and none of the pages in that book. Which is best practice?If I assign no condition tag to a book or its pages (see screenshot), the filter treats those topics the same as if it had the "Employees" tag assigned. I have a vague memory of this behavior being either a default behavior or a behavior that I've configured. Is it okay to just leave it this way? (The filter is performing the way I want it to.) SCREENSHOT  Thank you!

Adobe's EOL Matrix https://helpx.adobe.com/support/programs/eol-matrix.htmldoes not provide the end of life information for Robohelp 2017 and unless Robohelp Server 9/10/11 and Robohelp 2017/19/20 are the same thing I never got the notice. No one from Adobe Support was able to answer this question for me. 

Hi There,  I've created a project from the beginning of release 2020 (a few upgrades have occurred since). My content is nearly ready for going into translation, so I'm checking the glossary file and the index file to send to the translation agency.  And surprise: the default.idx file is empty, while I have some content in the Robohelp GUI and in my Output....  Is it a known issue? Is there a way to 'regenerate' that .idx file?   I've checked the samples projects: the .idx file of 'Compass travel' looks ok, but the one from 'About Robohelp' is also empty on my side...  Thank you in advance for any hint...
