Does anybody have experience with the new Mac version of RH? Is there any difference to the Windows version? Is it possible to import FrameMaker files to create a project?

Hi there, I now that Flash is gone now but we use it to access the Robohelop Server and add new areas, do reporting, etc. Is there any other solution? I get the message "Adobe flash player is out of date". Thanks in advance for any inputBobby  

Hi Team, Post to the generation of Documents (online help framless output) i can able to see Homepage Tiles image (.png) locally. After Publising the documents in server. I am not able to view the Homepage Tiles images (.png). I am expereincing this issue recently. Kindly give us some solution.

Hi, Once we take the output from Robohelp (Classic 2019), in the search result, it displays filename as well.Is there a way to exclude the filename in the search result? 

Hi - wondering if anybody can help as I am fairly new to RH (started with 2020).When importing Word files, spaces between words in the file name are replaced with underscores in the Topic name in RH. When I generate the output, the underscores are showing in the button labels in my frameless skin.I do not want the underscores to show (I want spaces between the words used in the button labels). Any help would be appreciated!

I've run into an issuewhere a tech support person noted that all of the contextual help links from a web UI to our online help were broken. I noticed that the web UI is trying to call up a URL with extra text. I'm assuming this extra text made it's way into the original output I created, but somehow, in subsequent releases, this text went away. My online help is currently formatted as such (I've removed the beginning of the URL).com/#t=Overview.htmBut the web UI is trying to call this:.com/topic.htm#t=Overview.htm Other than re-code the links (a huge undertaking that SW engineering will not be pleased about,) is there a way to re-introduce the topic.htm text into the URL/output? 

I'm trying to follow the following instructions about to add a "Related Topic" section to a topic: "After you insert the Related Topics placeholder in the topic, the Type field in the Properties panel > General tab shows Related Topic List. You can now add related topics to the placeholder. To do so:In the General tab, against Related Topics, click ..." Problem: The buttons "Type" and "Related Topic List" do not appear in the General tab of the Properties panel.... Why?  . 

I have a RH2020.3.32 responsive html project. When I use the search term Report-13 or even 13 I want the search engine to return a specific page. Report-13 is a heading 2 style on the page (I thought H2 were used in search?), I've added the search keywords report-13 and 13 to the file. I've selected every search checkbox for the responsive HTML output. What does "Add special characters for search" do? I added the dash into the box, it doesn't seem to do anything. I am probably not using it correctly. If I check - Display results with all keywords I get 0 results when searching for report-13, 13, and "report-13". If I don't check Display results with keywords and search:report-13 - I only get results with the word report, the file I want is listed second but the Report-13 isn't listed in the text or highlighted so a user won't know to select that result.13 - nothing - Shouldn't I get the file returned since I added 13 as a search term for the file? does search not wo

I recently opened a project using RoboHelp 2020 (new UI) after changing my hard drive and found that the frameless output was using a default Times New Roman font, not the original fonts I had selected. I then remembered that I hadn't resinstalled the required fonts (they are non-standard ones used by my client in their web app). Once I had installed them on the PC, everything was fine but it made me stop and think, will the output display correctly in another user's browser if they don't have the fonts installed either? Looking through the forums I see that some formats require custom fonts to be embedded or added to baggage files, but I can't see a why of doing either of these in the Frameless output in RH 2020. Am I worrying unnecessarily or do I need to do something before compiling to avoid this problem, and if so, what is it please?

I'm using Before Selectors in my CSS for Notes, Tips, and Warnings. This are not converted to inline styles for the Content Only output. I've tried adding a Post Build Script, but can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

I am moving to Robohelp 2019 and I cannot locate the option Show Navigation Pane Link in Topics. Does anyone know where the option is now located? Thank you!

I want to add our company's logo to the Robohelp Webhelp skin, but when I add it as a Custom item, the logo is next to the Content, Search & Print Topic buttons; I would like to place it on the right side of the page. How can I do this? Thanks in advance for any help,Lon

How do i fix the output to PDF so that my video shows up? Note there is no "Advanced" menu for clicking to embed multimedia files (i.e. video).

Upgraded from RH 2020.1 to RH 2020.3 (skipped over the .2 update and went straight to .3).Generating Responsive HTML5 output with Azure_Blue.Output is merged help, consisting of 1 parent and 11 child projects. In RH 2020.1, end users could enter 2 or more search terms, select Include all words in search, and the search function would return results. After upgrading to RH2020.3, if end users enter 2 or more search terms and select Include all words in search, they receive 0 results. Note that these are searches that returned results in the output generated in RH2020.1. End users only get results if the Include all words in search is NOT selected. Note that curiously, the one match from my glossary is correctly (I have it intentionally enabled in our build settings) returned and displayed (I cropped out the definition in the attached image, but it displays correctly in the live system). I generated a standalone (altogether different output preset) Responsive HTML

When I generate PDF output, the resulting PDF displays the wrong font.  The desired font, Open Sans, is installed on my machine and I have selected the embed used font option in the Ouput Preset. I'm running RoboHelp Version 2020.2.33 for Mac. My OS is Catalina version 10.15.7 (19H2). Another writer on the team is able to generate a PDF (using the same output preset) with the correct font from the same project.  I'd appreciate any troubleshooting suggestions.

I am having issues with Nested Number styles.  Due to the technical documentation that I need to author and publish, I need to be able to take Nested Numbering down to Level 5 and 6. So far, nested numbering is working great until I get to Level 4.I have attached examples of my css and of my created page with what should be happening with the numbering. I appreciate any help offered.

I am using Robohelp 2020.3.32 and a frameless skin to output merged help with mapped topic Ids.I can successfully reach each specific topic using the path/index?rhmapno={topic ID} method (as seen here: https://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh_tour/rh2020/outputs/calling_csh_help.htm ), however, the page opens with the TOC collapsed. I was wondering if there is a way for the page to open with the TOC expanded when calling context sensitive help topics, using a framless skin.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

My TOC is out of order when I generate to HTML Help. It looks fine when generating to HTML5 output. Have tried re-creating a new HTML Help preset and still same issue.  

Hi, Everyone. In RH 2019, new UI, frameless output, search is performing poorly. The search results return way too many similar words (including some far-flung words), and the exact match is not prioritized (screenshot, below). I've read through this thread and some others. Please note, this issue persists whether local or on our network. Plus, I've only generated the output, not "published" it. Thanks for any help on this!  SCREENSHOT 

I am using RoboHelp 2020.3.32.  I am working on a help project that was created with a previous version of RoboHelp and that I have upgraded to RoboHelp 2020.  From that project, I want to create a Microsoft HTML Help (.chm) file.  My help content contains bullet lists, which should have custom images (from an image file called TriangularBullet.png, which is in the /contents/assets/images folder of the project) as bullets.  The CSS from my original project contained a custom ul.ListBullet style, which, with the old version of RoboHelp, was working fine both when authoring the content in RoboHelp and in the generated .chm file: ul.ListBullet {  list-style: url(../images/TriangularBullet.png);}ul.ListBullet>li {  font-size: 11pt;  margin-bottom: 6pt;  padding-left: 6pt;} In RoboHelp 2020, using the above style, the bullets are displayed correctly in both Author and Preview modes but, when I generate a .chm file from the project and ope

I've installed RoboHelp server 11 in my laptop. I've installed Tomcat and performed the configuration and mentioned in this video https://breezetraining.adobeconnect.com/robohelp-server. When I try to access http://localhost:8080/robohelp/admin/index.html, I'm seeing the error 'Unable to connect to server'. Can someone tell me what could be the problem?

HiI upgraded to the latest version of RH2020 through the Help menu and now when I try to open a project I get a message to upgrade:I click Upgrade and  it immediately comes up with an Application error:I followed the instruction but the same thing happens every time. I have tried uninstalling, downloading the latest release and re-installing but that makes no difference. This is a major issue for me as I manage a lot of projects and I now can't get into any of them. Incidentally, the projects were all upgraded from Classic 2019 to 2020.0 without any issues and were all working fine before the latest release. Many thanks in advance for any help with this. 

Hey guys, first time posting to the forum so hope it's up to standard and I'm clear enough   Basically I'm adding CSS text animations using the @14668356 rule, it works perfectly in RoboHelp and when previewing the topic in a browser, but breaks once the project is generated    So I had a look in my CSS file in the output and can see that RoboHelp has added its own bits to the code which breaks some of it   Specifically, this goes from   @14668356 colorRotate {from {color: #6666ff;}   and becomes    keyframes colorRotate {.RH-LAYOUT-CENTERPANEL-topic-box from, .RH-LAYOUT-FOOTER-container from {color: #6666ff;}   Is there anyway to prevent Robohelp form editing my CSS files so that I can avoid it breaking on output? Otherwise I'll have to manually edit it after 😞    Thanks! -Dan

I've published a project using the latest release 2020.3.32.  When I use the search, it finds pages fine, but when I then click on the pages the search string is highlighted but also lots of other random things.  It also doesn't open the page at the top it seems to jump to random places as well.  Any help or explanation appreciated. 

BACKGROUND3 tech comm staff running RH2020 update 3.RH projects reside in Git repos in the cloud.RH output is Responsive HTML5, Azure_Blue.Output is posted to an internal MS IIS webserver, for consumption by co-workers. Output is currently generated by any of the 3 tech comm staff (after pulling latest files from Git repo) and then posted via standard Windows Copy/Paste to webserver.  ISSUELooking to take advantage of RH's publish feature so we can do away with copy/pasting an entire output. Also want any of our 3 tech comm staff to be able to generate output and then publish it.  SCENARIOOn Monday, tech comm staff John generates output and publishes from his machine/instance of RH and RH project.
