When I open the rewrite (not the classic) version of  RH 2019 (2019.0.14)  or RH 2020 (2020.0.156), I now get an Application Error: The application has run into an error..." message, even before I open a project.  If I follow the recommended option of clicking "Help > Restart RoboHelp", the message redisplays when the application opens.  If I close the message and continue, I can open a project, view individual topics, view html, and see a conditional preview, but the error re-displays after most actions I take.  If I try to generate a frameless output, the system never finishes generating the output and the output folder remains empty.  I rebooted my system.  No change.  I checked for updates. RoboHelp 2020.Generating Responsive HTML 5, Azure. For the Search tab in the output, is there a way to configure/deploy the output so that the "Include all words in search" option is selected by default? Users would still be able to unselect it. I'm curious if there's a setting in one of the JS files in the output to control this.  I'm not sure we need this - I think the issue could be resolved via training for our end user(s). But, if there's a setting, we could see if it solves some of the complaints we've received (too many search results).

Hi dear community!I'd like to add 2 buttons for previous and next page of my document. It's easy to add one, but is there a place I can find the .svg for the images  and the command I should add in "on click" ?Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm working with RoboHelp 2019 (2019.0.14) - not the Classic version. I'm using Responsive HTML5 Output (Azure Blue). When I stretch the screen across, the text stretches all the way across. Our UX expert asked that the text not stretch all the way across, but rather we have a maximum width defined. I could not figure out how to do this (I tried formatting the Master Page, but wasn't successful). Any ideas?

What could be the reason that the download doesn't start automatically? There is no option to manually start the download for Windows. I'm trying to install the RoboHelp Trial version so I can learn how to use it. Please help 😞 . Does the software work on win 7 OS? 

I installed the trial version of RoboHelp on my PC. I'm trying to run the program now, but the screen is stuck at this (below). The program doesn't open. Any leads?

Right now with Update 12, not a single topic shows in this list although there are about 200 topics in this projects.  And no - I did not set any filter in the properties, and even if I do so, the topics that meet the rules don't show. Refreshed the list with the button in the upper middle of the UI - nothing. Some weeks ago, under Update 11, everything was fine. What's wrong here?!?

Hello,I am experiencing an issue with Frameless output in RoboHelp 2019.I have a project with bookmarks inside a table cell. Example: <tr><td><p><a id="bookmark"></a>Text</p></td></tr> In previous verions of RoboHelp, links to these bookmarks worked as expected: the page would load and position to the the correct table row/cell with the bookmark. In the new Frameless output, links now go to the top of the page. It looks like the bookmark actually does load correctly, but then the outer areas for the ToC/mini-ToC loads and the page "jumps" back to the top page. This is an issue as we have several "index" pages that deep link into other pages. Is there a solution to make the links work as in previous versions? The workaround I found is to move the bookmark to a paragraph or text outside the table, but this makes the reader then scroll down further into the table instead of directly to the information. I have tested

Good morning,I have installed robohelp2019.0.10 and I can't produce the document in word. With the old xpj I was able perfectly and now with the new one the documentation in word cannot be produced. I state that in the css I have inserted some variables for the styles. Could it be that? Can't view a log to understand why it doesn't work?thanksDaniela

Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help with this as I've been wracking my brain and trying different things but cannot come up with a solution... Yesterday I created a new instance of a Frameless Skin which I saved as 'Studio_Skin_CM_2.0'. I then spent much of the day editing that skin to bring it into line with our branding guidelines.  I also created a new Output Preset for the folder which I called 'Output_Preset_CM_2.0' for the same project. Today... I opened the RoboHelp 2020 and it is not showing the 'Studio_Skin_CM_2.0' which I created yesterday - just the default . After a moment of panic I clicked into the Output Presets tab and saw that 'Output_Preset_CM_2.0' *was*, thankfully, showing there. When I click the 'view output' button from the Output Present tab it thanfully does generate content using the skin i spent much of the day editing yesterday. The problem is that I cannot get into the skin to complete the required edits since it is

Hello,My question involves the final output generated by RH... Both the HTML topics and the folders containing those topics... I am using RH 2020.I want the generated HTML topics and folders to contain underscore lines rather than spaces.For example, I want the HTML filename to be like this: first_topic.htmAnd I want the folder containing it to be named like this: first_folderHow do I tell RH 2020 to do this?Thanks!

Hello I consider myself as an expert with Robohelp. But since the new release Robohelp 2020, I am missing some functions that were available in Robohelp 2019 Classic.For example :Manage the images in the project (change the name of an image for example, and that everything is updated in the project).Format only one cell of a table (the background color of a cell, the bottom or left border for example of a cell, or of a row, without this impacting the entire table).These are just examples, but there are too many functions in this 2020 version of Robohelp. Support online tells me that everything is possible, that the classic and release versions are isofunctional. I'm not sure if this is a RH, HTML or browser setting, but is there some way to dictate when the navigation pane switches form (from, say, showing all the topics to just a sub-set)? It seems that you only have to reduce the window's width by a pixel for the navigation bar to change to a form more suited to a small window. Is there a minimum width settting (MW) that triggers this change only if the window width is less than MW? (This is annoying for users with big screens. The OLH opens at 100% and, as soon as they reduce the width—however small—the OLH goes into small-screem mode, which hides most of the ToC.)

In Preview mode, my related topics lists appear without numbering (which is whatI want). When I output to responsive HTML5 and view the ouput, my related topics lists appears without numbering. Good. But when I pubish the project, all my related topics list are numbered! Any ideas?

Hi there, I've just upgraded from RH 2019 (PC) to RH 2020 (Mac). I opened up a project I have copied over the RH2019 to RH 2020 but noticed that - when I go to output preset and skins - it is not providing me with the option to generate the project in the new studio format. I can see the Studio formate when I open the sample project for Compass Travel but not in either my imported project or even a completely blank new project. I've had a look and a search but cannot find the answer - am I missing something obvious? Thanks in advance...

Hello, I am using full RH2020 (v2020.0.156) and publishing Indigo Responsive HTML5 Layout to RoboHelp Server 10.My question has to do with the Table of Contents. I tried manually creating TOC and auto generating TOC. Same problem occurs. I have Sections for example Administration and it is sourced to Administration Intro & Overview. I would expect that if a user selects the Adminisration section, then the sourced topic would display in left pane.  However, the links in the TOC only work if they are individual Topics and not Sections. See attached image.

Hello helpful community,I am using Robohelp 2020.0.156. Can anyone tell my why the h3 is formatting correctly (ie 14 pt) in the first image, but not in the second? I have the same issue before it is output (ie in the authoring panel.)Thanks kindly for any input, Dorothy 

It appears that topics have memory, are stubborn, and don't want to change.I create a new book in a project's TOC and linked the book to a topic so that clicking the book displayed the linked page as well as expanding to show the topics in the book. Then I decided to move some topics not originally included in the book into the book by clicking the right arrow on the TOC to have those topics become part of the book. The PROBLEM:  The topics that were originally in the book show the correct breadcrumbs. Those that were not, show breadcrumbs but skip the book name in their breadcrumbs, meaning they show the breadcrumbs as they originally were when not moved into the book. WHY, WHY, WHY????I believe this project that I inherited has had several tech writers working in it since it was first created. It also is the merged product of 2 previously independent projects, I'm told. I think these two projecters were simply compbined vs. merged. But the who thing is driving me nuts.

Using Mac version.Followed all of the instructions here:https://helpx.adobe.com/in/robohelp/user-guide.html/in/robohelp/using/git.ug.html When adding the project get the error below.  RoboHelp does add a .git and .gitignore file.  But cannot figure out why it fails to upload to repository.I am able to connect to Git from the command line successfully.  

RH2020 Update 2 - MAC Has anyone encountered an error setting up a GIT collaboration profile with bitbucket?  I am having an issue where i was able to set mine but but my co-workers, following the same steps, have not been.  My co-workers are hitting the following error as soon as they select their key in the collaboration profile:"SSH could not verify remote host.  External verfication may be required for successful SSH conntection."I should note RH briefly shows "fingerprint successfully added" before that error appears.  They are not clicking on save, it is as soon as they select their keys in the connection profile.  I have verified that they have the proper keys and those keys are in our repo in bitbucket.  In fact, we can push, pull, and clone from their machines using the CLI.All of the troubleshooting steps online are for windows.  We are waiting for adobe to get back to us but I thought i would check here to see if anyone can r

Using RoboHelp 2019 Release Version 14.0.14 (up to date). We have discovered that the frameless output for our two translated projects (Japanese and Spanish) are displaying garbled charactes when viewed in Internet Explorer and Firefox (no issues in Chrome or Edge). Looking back at local archived builds, this issue began towards the end of June 2020. Local archived builds prior to that display fine in all browsers. Builds produced after that display garbled characters in IE and Firefox (as attached). Language settings in frameless output are set correctly; encoding settings set to default, and neither of these settings changed prior to or after June. Changing them yields no effect. This does not affect our English project, only our Japanese and Spanish projects. Manually changing the browser Encoding setting to Unicode resolves this in IE, but does not resolve in Firefox. Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Anything come to mind that might help? I have published my RH project to HTML 5 and when attempting to access it via IE I get an error stating, "a problem with this webpage has caused IE to close and reopen the tab." The page goes blank and this error occurs "We were unable to return you to the page you were viewing." This does not happen in Chrome or Edge.
