From time to time, while testing WebHelp from my application after help request I am getting help window with a proper title but instead of the help topic, help displays the content of the WebHelp folder. I am not getting any detailed information about an error. 

Hello, I am running RH 2019.0.12 latest and publishing to RH 10 Server with Indigo layout. Updated content and published recently and now Search runs endlessly without finding results. Solutions tried so far: Added a New Responsive HTML5 Layout Added a New Indigo Skin Restarted RH Server 10 Tried multiple browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox) Fails on all Cleared Cache Other tests included: Other Indigo HTML5 Projects Work Any other suggestions?  

The help file I open from my PC displays the Search pane correctly. When we publish on the public Internet page, however, it changes the interface to this:  Can this be fixed?

Hi RH 2019 does not continue the list number if an image is inserted between two numbered lists.I have created a style for multi listing. It works perfectly if the listing is not interrupted by an image or even a paragraph. Once an image is inserted the numbering restarts at 1.Does RH 2019 continue the list numbering without using the Restart Numbering option? If I recall correctly, RH 2017 did not have this issue and multi-listing worked perfectly.   Regards Siju

Hello,I have upgraded a number of RoboHelp 2017 Projects to RoboHelp 2019 Classic and then to RoboHelp 2019 Full. Only one project is giving me issues when generating.  It never gets past the Responsive HTML5 Indexing References state.  I click the i for more information but nothing opens. Any suggestions?Thanks, stay safe and healthy.Julie

This might be a newbie question, but I'm just getting my rather large help project into the non-classic version of RoboHelp2019. I updated a screen shot in my help, but it did  not appear to update in RH. It didn't update even when I removed the old graphic and placed what should have been the new one. The html looks like I'm referencing the grahic, so why doesn't it update? Thank you!Cindy 

Hello, I use Robohelp 2019 and am creating a frameless output.  By the very nature of frameless output, my imported PDFs open outside the project frame (in a new tab). I have embedded analytics on my Robohelp topic pages (via the master page). But since PDFs open outside the project, I am unable to run analytics on the PDF pages accessed by a customer (especially if they're accessed via Search). Is there a way to monitor hits on PDF pages if they are accessed via Search? How do you all monitor hits on your PDFs? Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your replies. 

I have created a topic that contains a link to a PDF document. No matter which display setting I apply to the PDF hyperlink, the PDF document opens in a new tab. It does not open within the display frame of the project (the skin). It is difficult to navigate back to the topic or home page from the new tab (as it contains only the open PDF without any other trimmings of the project I am building). How do I get the linked PDF to appear within the frame of my project (and not in a new tab)? Steps I took:1. Created a topic2. Added an image with a hyperlink to the PDF document3. Rt-click on image with hyperlink > Edit hyperlink4. In the Link to window, under Display in, I have selected Frame > Parent Frame.(Here, I have tried Frame > New Window, Frame > Same Frame, Frame > Whole Page, but nothing worked). In earlier versions of RoboHelp in the Table of Contents you were able to identify books or pages that were new or had new information on them by displaying a red asterisk on them. However with the last couple of versions we have used (2015 and 2019) we have not been able to work out how to do this.Does anyone know if this is still possible or is there a different way to do it now?

Hi, Everyone. I don't know where to start in describing the problems of this output. Have a look at the homepage (Screenshot 1). Screenshot 2 is what the homepage is supposed to look like. NOTE-1:  I'm using a new copy of the Oceanic skin. My previous usage of Oceanic got even more messed up than this, and I had to abandon it. NOTE-2:  the output of the second topic is also broken. Notice the multiple breadcrumbs getting repeated. Hello, I'm new to RoboHelp, and am wondering if this is possible... I have a bunch of topics where I list all the elements needed for XML messages 9one message per topic). Many of these elements (with their definitions) are used in many of the messages. This means that the same definition is shown in multiple topics. I would like to write each definition once, and and then shown wherever it's needed. Also, many of the definitions include bullet lists, which I would like to show in two columns. I'm currently using tables to do this, but would prefer a better solution. This is a new project, but I would like to incorporate it into our existing WebHelp system. But if there is a different output that would work better, we can consider that (though it would likely need to be a single file that we share with our customers). Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hi,One of my artefacts involves importing a Word document to RoboHelp and generating a Microsoft HTML output. The Word document is a fairly big one with 1000 plus pages.I was wondering if there is an option to auto generate a TOC in RoboHelp 2019 that would take Heading 1, 2 and 3 into consideration.Currently i am adding Bookmarks to each level Heading(1,2,3) and dragging it to the TOC which is very time consuming and frustrating.Thank you.

Has anyone experienced "losing" files from the Project Files view? I created and saved new topics and then they dissapeared. I can see the files from the explore view, but I am unable to view or edit the file. They do not displays in the Project Files navigation tree. Any help would be appreciated. I am concerned that the project may have corruption as it is very large and has been converted may times for different versions of RH. 

I got a new laptop and when I'm using RoboHelp, the text in the Design/HTML editing section is very small. The text in the toolbar, project manager etc is all the correct size. When I change the percentage to 125%, I get a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom. This makes it very difficult to read the text in the design editor, because I have to keep scrolling right and left for every sentence.Is there any way to remove the horizontal scrollbar? Or make the text bigger when it is at 100%? I have tried all the settings on the Compatibility tab of RH, but without succes.I am using RoboHelp 2017 (13.01.279)

Is it possible to integrate the Robohelp with AWS CodeCommit using the Git version control? I have done this with Github, but I'm facing issues when trying to integrate it with AWS. I followed the tutorial for setting up an SSH connection to AWS CodeCommit Repository on Windows (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/codecommit/latest/userguide/setting-up-ssh-windows.html) but I keep receiving the following error message on my Git terminal: Warning: Permanently added 'git-codecommit.us-east-1.amazonaws.com,52.94.229.29' (RSA) to the list of known hosts.username@17342251-codecommit.us-east-1.amazonaws.com: Permission denied (publickey) I tried deleting the host file and running the ssh command again, but it wouldn't work. 

I'm adding a PDF attachment to a number of the topics in RH 2019 project. I'm using the project as a single source for having HTML and PDF outputs. When clicking the attachment within the PDF, it shows that file not found. The attachment file is added locally on the project folders. Is there another way to attach files to PDF output?

Hi everyone, Is there an easy way to continue bulleted numbers after a snippet? For example, I want to include points 1 and 2 in a snippet - then have 3,4,5 etc continue after that. Or is it simply a case of editing the HTML?

I hace accidentally added the incorrect Personal Access Token into RoboHelp to link up with Azure DevOps and now I have an access issue. Is there a way to manage those credentials so that I may continue?  Thank you! 

I imported a project into another project. In the imported project, when specifying the css file, I had selected local files and selected the css that way. So when I imported the project to an existing project, even though the file structure was the same, because I had selected local files for the imported project I had to go through and configure each topic to use the css file in my existing project. If I had selected project files in the imported project, would this have just worked on import, if the file structure is exactly the same? So I went through the topics in my imported project and selected project files and selected the css in my exisiting project. However, the explorer dialog opened and not the internal RH dialog that allows you to select the css file from within the project. Now though, I cannot generate any word output. PDF and Responsive HTML work fine. When I checked the c:\users\username\appdata\local\temp\rhtmp\word folder, I can see that the output is fail

My webhelp output gets generated to my local C:\ instead of to Team Foundation Server. This means that the !SSL! subdirectory only exists on my local machine and never gets placed into TFS. I have provided screenshots of my TFS project directory and its contents vs. my local directory (where output files get generated to).

I upgraded to RoboHelp 2019 and noticed that Conditional Build Expressions assigned to my printed doc outputs are being forgotten. In the Print Document General screen, the Conditional Build Expression shows as None. I can select one and then generate, and the conditional build expression is correctly applied. But the next time I go into the dialog, it is None again, forcing me to reapply the setting each time I want to generate the document. I think I have seen this issue intermittently in previous versions. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Hello,We have a project with the Online Help in X3. We are now planning to upgrade to 2019. Is this possible given that there is a large gap between both the versions? Thank you Swati Murthy

I am adding a video (anmated GIF) in RH. I want the users to be able to restart the video. Is that possible? How can I do it? I can create a button but I don't know how to link the button with the animated gif and how to make it restart when clicked. Apprecaite any repsonse!
