The technical specs doesnt mention Windows 2016 server. It mentioned Windows 10, 8.1, and 7. Can RH 2017 be installed on Windows 2016 server?
Hello, I am using RH 2019 with all updates.I have created a new Indigo skin and tweaked colors for branding. I notice that the latest Indigo skin includes Expand/Collapse All, Remove Highlight, and Print icons when viewing topics. However, Indigo also includes Breadcrumbs on the same sub navigation bar. If you drill down several layers into a topic, the Breadcrumbs run long and end up covering those great new buttons. I know the answer probably lies in the CSS of which, I know very little and would probably do more harm than good. My manager has asked me to determine if I can adjust the Indigo skin to do one or both of the following:1. Split the Breadcrumbs and buttons into two separate sub-navigation bars (two lines)?or2. Hopefully much easier, reduce the font size and spacing of the Breadcrumbs that are in Indigo skin.See picture. Many thanks in advance. PS. I did spend a better part of the afternoon looking for similar topics in the forum but the
I created a Robohelp project with a Frameless preset and Orange skin (tailored to my requirements). I have 4 topics in it. When I generate a frameless output, I see only one TOC tile on the Home page (instead of the 4 I should see for the number of topics I have). When I click on this single TOC tile, it takes me to a second Home page that displays all the tiles. What did I set up incorrectly? If I look at the Skin Preview for the Home Page, I see the multiple TOC tiles. But upon generating the output, only one TOC tile displays. Similar output using the Oceanic Blue skin did not create this problem. Any pointers would be appreciated. (I am using Robohelp 2019.0.12).
I have a) a lot of DITA content; b) the chance to get hold of RTH2019. To start finding out about the landscape, I headed off to Lynda-as-was and went through the RH2015 course. All very promising! but then I tried to find information on reusing my DITA content in RH2019: no luck.Simple question: does RH2019 let me import DITA topics?
Hi All - I am in the final stages of completing my help manual. We are testing it on internal sites before we roll it out to clients. The only issue that is keeping me from publishing it to our clients is the predictive search. If a user searches for a term and selects one of the suggested options, the application populates the side search menu but just loads forever (screenshot below). If they select the search icon (magnify glass) to search again, the results load. If they close the side search menu and search again, the results load. I cannot figure out why they are not loading with the initial search? We are on Robohelp version: 13.0.2.334I am using the Indigo Layout and downloaded the updated file from the Adobe website when I started the project.
HiI have modified a few properties in the .CSS file of my project by directly editing the .CSS file. Upon generating a Frameless output the online help displays the page as per the changes made. But I have noticed that if I make any further changes to the .CSS file either from the UI or directly on the .CSS file, the changes made earlier seems to be removed from the .CSS file. It looks like Robohelp2019 does not save the changes made directly to the .CSS file. For example, I added a box-shadow property to the inner search box in the Home Page by editing the .CSS file (not from the UI) and the output display as per the change made. If I make any other change to the .CSS file and generate an output, the box-shadow is not displayed. The .CSS file reverts to the previous state without the box-shadow property. This issue occurs only if I make modifications directly to the .CSS file. Any changes made from the UI are saved and works as expected.
I have RoboHelp 2015 and I'm currently using the WebHelp output. I don't know if what I want to accomplish is possible with this application and output, but here is my question.Currently my WebHelp output displays a very small text size if viewed on a large monitor. The example I was given was a 27" monitor that has a high pixel count. The user wants to know if the help file can scale the text size based on pixel density. I don't see any options to do this using the RoboHelp 2015 application, but maybe there is a way to manually edit the .css file? Also, is this possible with the ResponsiveHTML output type? Or is it possible with RoboHelp 2019?Thanks to anyone who can respond and explain this to me! 🙂
Here's a new one: I have a Word file that I'm importing that has a mailto: hyperlink defined. During import this appears to trigger RH2017 into composing a new email to the hyperlink's email address (luckily it doesn't send it). I do see the link appear properly in the project file's "URLs" list.Any idea why RH is doing this? I'm using Office 365 Word/Outlook and RH 2017?Thx,-DavidMessage was edited by: David Hauck (add Outlook as Office 365 app in use)
In the Word document below I have the Heading 4 text of "Double Range" and "Comparison". The former is correctly styled during conversion but the latter is somehow styled with color "white", making it hidden (against white background) in the resulting output. Here's what the rendered HTML looks like in the RH2019 Classic topic pane:Here's what the HTML source looks like in the RH2019 Classic topic pane (first the former heading and then the latter):<h4 style="margin-left: 0cm; text-indent: 14.45pt;"><a name="b_Double_Range" id="b_Double_Range"><span style="color: #000000; font-weight: normal;">b)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';">&#160;&#160;</span></span>&#160;<span style="color: #000000;">Double-Range</span></a></h4><h4 style="margin-left: 0cm;"><a name="c_Comparison" id="c_Comparison"><span style="color: #000000; font-weight: normal;">c)<span style="fo
Hi all, First off... great bit of support in this group... thx! I'm using TechComm 2015, importing Frame docs into RoboHelp for Responsive HTML5 output. Specifically with regard to image conversion, when I set the "preferred dimensions" width and height to 0 (to prevent image sizing during conversion), the images do not appear in the output. Disabling above does allow them to appear in output, thus I don't know why this is happening. Wondering anyone has comments that will alleviate? Thanks!
In RH19 Reimagined, how do I change the Copyright date in the Indigo skin? In the footer it says 2019. I cant find a skin component using the skin editor where I can change this.
I am having a responsive html5 output. Can we include a book in the ToC, add topics to the book and then hide the book and its topic? One way is apply author comments or similar conditional tag to the book and the topics so that they hide from the output. Is there any other way? Also, if I have 5 new topics in the project manager and I have hidden them from search, they are not part of toc but they are context sensitive topics. This is intentional. If the context sensitive help call pulls the correct topic and token will it still launch the right topic? even if it is not in the toc...but it is in the project?
I created three steps, inserted an image, then added a fourth step. I'm getting: 1 .... 2 .... 3 .... <image> 1 ....
Hi! How to download Adobe RoboHelp 2015.0.4. ? The link to this patch does not work here https://www.adobe.com/support/robohelp/downloads.html
Hi I am trying to create a style from UI as given below:I would like the <div> to have <li> items. Please could you let me know how can I go about creating this type of a style. It would be helpful if I can create it from the Styles editor screen rather than the HTML editor screen.
Hi Team, It takes more time to generate an output. Previous, It was not like that. Displays Indexing references loading and loading. can anyone help me on this.
I would like to use a different font from the fonts available in new Robohelp 2019. Can I do this?
Does anyone know how to install Extendscript Toolkit for use with RH2019 Classic? It doesn't seem to be part of the installer like it used to be?
First off, I'm using RH 2019.0.12 and outputing my project to Responsive HTML5. My issue is that the Search function on our Web Help doesn't work. You input a keyword and click the spyglass or hit Enter and nothing happens. I've looked for the required search xml files (whftdata0.xml,WHFWDATA0.XML, etc.), and I don't see them in the whxdata folder in my output. What I've tried:Opening the web help in multiple browsers (Firefox, IE)Downloading and installing MSXML 4 (per advice in a community post)Uninstalling/reinstalling RobohelpCopying the revised scripts (from https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/search-issue-responsive-html5.html) into both my project contents and backend RH template folder.Enabled Substring Search option in output preset and regenerated the outputDeleting the ouput folder and output preset and recreating themI noticed in the output that's on the server (for which I had to recreate the project almost from scratch), and has active search functio
Using RoboHelp 11 to generate WebHelp that's called through a URL, for example: http://domain.com/folder/subfolder/index.htm#bookname/helpTopic/helpTopic.htm (where "bookname" is the folder containing the subfolders for each individual help topic, each with the same name as the individual help topic, as imported from FrameMaker). The help content is posted publicly to the WWW.When I test the link locally (from my C: drive), it works. When I call the help topic from the application, it pulls up the frame for the help set, with a 404 error displayed for the help topic identified through #bookname/helpTopic/helpTopic.htm.However, I can click the link to the help topic from the TOC in the help set frame, and it pulls up the help topic correctly. The main help set link (http://domain.com/folder/subfolder/index.htm) works fine. The help content for a prior release, generated the same way, works. It's just the new release that is generating the 404 error for the context-sensitive link
I'm using RoboHelp 2019. I have generated a Table of Content for my documents. However, after compiling them and viewing, I'm not able to view the table of contents. an someone help me quickly in this regard? Thank you!
In the primary layout window for WebHelp in RoboHelp 8, there is a check box for "Add About Box" but there's no button allows you to input information in the "about box". However, in FlashHelp primary layout set up, there is an Add button next to the "Add About Box" check box that provides access to a window where you can input the about information.Seems like the "Add" button got lost in WebHelp primary layout setup window.
Hello Everyone,I imported a Word document and created HTML output using RoboHelp Classic. The search function does not work in Chrome and it does in IE. I am having other problems with RH2019 UI, but at least the search function works in RH2019 UI in both Chrome and IE.I made sure my chrome was updated and checked my settings with no luck.Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.Thank you,Ken
