Which RH file stores the settings for conditional tags on the content (.htm pages) and conditional tags applied to the project files? Background story: sorry, it is quite long.My ex-coworker has been using RH2019. I am still using RH2019 Classic. Due to an upcoming release I haven't switched to RH2019 yet.  When I open his .rhpj file in RH2019, I can see that he has conditions applied to the project files, the content (.htm files), and the TOC. However, I can't generate the files (in RH2019). I'm not sure what the cause is. For one he has a lot of broken links. I also added his project to TFS (not sure why he never did). I was successful in saving a profile, but I keep getting prompted that the TF file is missing. I honestly, do not have time to learn RH2019 right now due to the deadline fast approaching, but I do need to generate his files as there are changes that are needed by the customer. My work around was to create a new project in RH2019 Classic, and I

Can RoboHelp be used to import and export different RoboHelp projects?I'm looking to create seperate RoboHelp projects for different modules of the system that I am documenting. I then want to be able to add or remove these as necessary for different configurations of the system.For example,Project AProject BProject CProject DOne system may only use information from Project A and D, whereas another system may use A, C, and D.Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated, or if anyone can point me in the direction of some useful information about this. Hello all, I recently noticed that I have missing pages in the TOC. I am not sure what is going on. I have deleted those pages from the TOC and then created and linked them again several times by different ways. I republished and cleared my cache, but still not resolved. I have also notice I can't search my project containing that information either when published to the web, but if I have a direct link I can see the information. If anyone has feedback that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rachel

the tabel of content is composed of subprojects of the chm type. The names shown in the toc editor are the name of the chm files. Once compiled and run the toc entry name is different. It is that name I want to change...I suppose it is in the respective chm project. But where....thx for the help

hello, I'm confronted with a strange issue. I'm not a RH wizard, just beginning to grasp it.A collegue misplaced two projects in a other project.If I move them via explorer and try to upgrade them, I have an immediate error msg, with no details.If I open them where they are, with the classic version, adapt an error in the used css. (thanks for that) and save it, I can upgrade to the modern RH version. I suspect paths are kept somewhere.How can I move these two projects and upgrade withoud errors?best regardsOlivier

I am using Robohelp 2019, and the thumbnail feature works great as long as the topic page is still inside of the frame. If I right-click a topic and open it in a new window, the thumbnails no longer work. Is there a setting I need to check somewhere?The images ARE checked for "Use Thumbnail" and my Output Presets have "Create thumbnail for images" checked as well.

Hi, 2009 robohelp files we have opened in 2019 and published a webhelp output and we got a toc error.we are not getting the TOC, as it is blank after generating the webhelp output from 2019 version of robohelp. can you tell me what could be the issue regardsArun

Hi allI'm using Robohelp 2019 Classic, version  and am trying to generate a Microsoft HTML CHM help file.It seems to generate fine, but when I launch the CHM file I get the following error:I have tried:Updating DHTMLEditing the ehlpdhtm.js file (which seems pointless as it is re-generated each time)Clearing the error, and clicking another topic. The same error re-appears. This happens with all my Robohelp projects, but only for CHM  output. Other output is fine. Can anyone help please? ThanksLaura

OK, a link opens to a popup. W/in this popup is another link. This link goes to a topic, but this second topic is NOT a popup. It’s to a topic that is a file in the project that you can also get to from the TOC. In the Preview version of my project, when I click on such a link in the popup, the topic that the link represents is now displayed in the popup -a second popup does not open, nor does the OLH jump to the topic.  For example, in the Preview mode of RH, if I click Selecting an Edition, then the contents of the Selecting an Edition topic are displayed in the popup. In any browser, Mozilla, Chrome, etc., the link is dead. Nothing happens.  I have attached a graphic show this - the one on the left shows the Title Bar popup contents being replaced by the Selecting an Edition topic content in Preview Mode in RH. The one on the right shows that when I click on the link in an actual browser, nothing happens.

RH2019, Version 11. Borderless tables display as expected in Chrome in the project output. In Mozilla or Edge, however, the same tables are displayed showing their full borders - which I cannot have in many cases. I made these tables borderless for a reason. Is there anything I can do to compensate for this browser difference? the graphic below shows this - a two column, one row borderless table in Chrome vs the same topic and hence, the same table in Mozilla.

Hi,I am using Robohelp 2019.0.11 and I work on a project in french.When I generate my project in a CHM output, the search tab seem to have an encoding problem. Example :My first topic is named "Première rubrique". When I search the word "rubrique", the search tab display my topic as "Premèire rubrique".Also, when I search the word "Première", the CHM show a window with "No topic found". So I can't search word with accents and it is problematic with a french project.  Can I do something to fix this problem ?Thanks in advance !

Hello, I have to take over the job of a collegue. the person prepared written instruction and insisted on NOT using the new gui to maintain an existing project.Is there any raison why you would like to keep the old way of working? Hi All, I am fairly new to RoboHelp - just started using it this week, and while I have figured a lot out, there are a few (mostly likely easy) issues I cannot solve.  One being when I publish my content, the snippet sections do not necessarily stay together on a page. Is there a way to add in a page break or like in Word there is a "Keep with next" option to ensure a section always stay together? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance! -Amber

We have an image for a general header and text in the footer that should draw on every page of our pdf output. It will not accept any inline CSS code to make either one draw correctly. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi All, I am new to RoboHelp and I thought I had it mostly figured out until I upgraded to the newest version. Now when I output my project, I only get a PDF with the glossary and TOC (the only item in the table of contents in glossary). There must be something I am missing - any ideas? Note: I have created my own TOC and linked it in the output area... Thanks in advance, Amber

Our IT has run into an issue trying to reinstall RH Server onto a new server. We are running RoboHelp 11 and the RH Server software that came with it is not installing onto the new servers we are upgrading to. I believe the new servers we are upgrading to is the latest Windows 10. We have had issues publishing from our upgraded Windows 10 to an older version of Windows on the server. We found a workaround for that by using a Virtual Machine on our laptops.Now that our servers are upgraded, RH Server is not installing. I checked the RH Updates (https://www.adobe.com/support/robohelp/downloads.html) to see if there is a patch for RH Server and there isn’t one available.First question. Does anyone know a workaround or a patch to use?Second question. If we do not want to upgrade everything to RH 2019 and RH Server 10, what alternative software can we use to replace RH Server and keep RH 11?Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Andre

In my Contents list, I can right-click a topic to open the Topic Properties dialog box and one of the properties I see is File Name. If I change the filename here and then click Apply, nada, zip, zilch. File name does not budge. I actually have to go into Windows Explorer and rename it there. Also, if I change the File Title in the Topic Properties dialog box, and then click Apply, nada, zip, zilch in the TOC. I have to select Rename instead on the topic's context menu and then it changes in the TOC. I really don't want to have to go in to two separate places to make these changes - I have inherited a project w/ thousands of topics that desperately need cleanup to reflect the true contents of the file - hence, the renaming of the files themselves and the retitling of these topics.  What am I missing? Thanks! TVB 

Hi Everyone, I use Adobe RoboHelp 2019 Update 11 (Version 14.0.11) with the new UI (not the Classic one). If I generate Responsive HTML5 output, the html pages can be called using the URL '<path>/<start page>#t=<topic>', for example, 'mypath/help.html#t=topic1.html'. Our company would like to integrate the help into an existing web application.This web application calls the html pages of the help using an URL in the format '<path>/<start page>#<topic>' (not #t=). As far as I have seen, currently, there is no possibility in Adobe RoboHelp to configure the format of the generated URLs. Do you know a way to do this, or do you think, it would be possible for Adobe to implement a possibility to configure the format of the URLs?We want to avoid changing our web application, because it involves breaking changes which makes parts of our software incompatible with older versions of it. Thanks in advance and best regards,Sabine

Hi,Last month, we had an update to version 2019.0.8. After the update, I did some work in RH and all was well.Two weeks ago, there was som updates made on the servers. Since then, we've been having problems with the Drob-down text option. The first image shows the procedure in edit mode and what we also see in preview mode. We can see the drop-down text headers in green.In the second image, you will see the same procedure as seen by our users in web mode;As you can see, the drop-down text headers our doubled. Also, when we click on them, it brings us at the beggining of the page but the text does not open as it does in the edit and preview modes.Also, if I create a new topic, the edit and preview will be OK, but Web output will also be doubled. Edit and preview image with a drop-down text expanded. Web output No matter if it's the RoboHelp update or the server update that caused this, I do not understand how this came to be and why it will be applied to the new Topics.By

Hi I am using RH 2017. I am generating a PDF output from RH 2017 directly, i.e I am not generating a Word doc first and then converting to a PDF. In this scenario, I have noticed that the table splits in the PDF output. Please could you let me know what needs to be done to achieve the following:I do not want the table to split - I would like the complete table to start from the next page rather than continuing to the next page.Is it possible to have the table header repeated?
