Hi Folks, I used to know how to do this but have forgotten....When I create a PDF, I only want it to show H1 headings. Right now that works. BUT, if I add a BOOK to the TOC, the topics within the book are added to the PDFs TOC.  How do I EXCLUDE the topcis inside the books? I suspect it's a settings in the pdf.css but can't see it. Ivan PS - using new version of RH with patches etc

I managed to find some code to fix a footer at the bottom of the page in RH, and it works just fine.When I hit Print Topic, the footer is at the bottom, as I wanted.However, for longer topics that print onto more than one page, the text of the topic prints over the footer.How can I fix it so that the text stops just before the footer?PS. I have no such problem when printed the project via Printed Documentation, just from the topic itself.

We recently moved all our projects to RH 19 classic, however, the Thumbnails are not working. Does anyone know if this is a known issue? How can I get it to working correctly?

I am modifying the Oceanic skin to match our corporate branding. I cannot find a way in the UI to change the color of the selected topic in the Table of Contents. I have changed the hover color. I need the selected topic color to match the hover color. I have found the field in the layoutDiff.css file, but I cannot change it here since they configured the system to now overwrite manual changes made to the layoutDiff.css file whenever you make changes in the UI. I am creating the new template skin for other users who may need to make modifications to the skin for their individual projects.

Two questions about RoboHelp 2019 search functionality for the Frameless output (using Orange skin).  Is it possible to configure (expand or contract) the number of characters displayed in the context provided below each topic title in search results? This is possible in RH2017 HTML5 Responsive output, but I can't seem to find it for this output in RH2019.It appears that RH2019 frameless output restricts search results to 20 topics. Is there a way to configure (expand or contract) this? 

Hi,I am using RH 2019, I created a browse sequence and tried to apply it in the Output preset , the dropdown list is empty - The sequence generated is not being shown in the Browse sequence option.Can anyone tell me where I went wrong?  ThanksSharmi

The help for RH 2019 is not up to date.  When I open the topic for updating the dictionary for a project, the steps refer to the Tools menu, when they should point to the Review menu, Spelling options button. Is this a bug I should report?Cindy 

Even after installing the Adobe Application Manager the issue persists. Tried to reinstall RoboHelp but it did not help.

Hello, Has anyone every successfully added Bootstrap to an RH2019 project? If so, would you mind sharing the exact modifications that you made to the index.htm file for the project? I have added boostrap to HTML before, but not specifically to an RH2019 project, and the code in the index.htm is not exactly what I am expecting/used to as a result because of the proprietary nature of course. TIA,TVB

Hi, I use Robohelp (Adobe Communication Suite 2017 ) for generating online help and use Responsive HTML5 as the output. After the online help is integrated with the product and the online help is launched, the Maximize button on the online help page is disabled. However, the Maximise button is enabled in Chrome. Our customers use Internet Explorer. Do you know of a way in which the Maximize button can be enabled on Internet Explorer as well?  Regards,Pankaja

I need to apply the same Master Page to all topics in my RH2019 project. Under View, I select Topic List and Properties Panel and I set the Filter to Master Pages and I see which topics have the Master Page already applied and which do not, but I see absolutely no way of applying this Master Page to all my files with a single command. I have 20 separate projects in this merged help project and each project, in turn, has 50+ individual topics, so applying this same MP one topic at a time in each project is time-prohibitive.  How can I apply this single Master Page to all files in a project w/ one command/in a single step? Thank you! TVB

I have a RoboHelp 2019 project with a book with multiple chapters consisting of individual topics. The Table of contents is based on the table of contents from the framemaker book file it has been imported from. The image shows the table of contents in RoboHelp. I have added a browsing sequence which takes all the topics and puts them after one another, and that works. When I generate the html the browsing sequence works as expected within each chapter. Only problem is... when one has reached the end of a chapter, one has to navigate bach to the menu and begin a new browsing sequence with that chapter. I would like the sequence to go seamlessly from chapter to chapter. Can that be done and how?

I have a borderless two column table that is set to auto adjust based on the cell's contents. In the left column, I have an image. In the right column, I have text. By default, the text is being aligned vertically in the middle of the table cell. I want to align the text at the TOP of the table cell. What property must I adjust to make this happen? I have attached a picture that shows where the text is currently displayed in the table cell and an arrow showing that I want it at the top of the cell. TIA, TVB

Hello. I am trying to save changes in Robohelp Classic 2019 (14.0.10.010), but I am getting an error. My project was created using Robohelp 2017. When I first tried to open my project in Robohelp Classic 2019, I got the following error when opening the project file:"Open project was cancelled or the application was unable to load database" for my .cpd file. I deleted my .cpd file and was able to open the project, but now I cannot save changes to any of the files. I get this error when saving:The file 'C:\docs\src\welcome.htm' could not be saved to the current destination. If you used the edit feature on your web browser to edit this file, you should use Save As on your browser, then edit the file on disk. I have only edited these files in Robohelp 2017, so I don't understand the message. I was wondering if I get the save error because I deleted the .cpd file? But if I don't delete it, I can't open the project. I did search the forum but was not able to fin

I am going nuts using Robohelp 2019 Classic. This is what my finished product looks like. Easy for my users to read. But look below for what I have to deal with... both screenshots are taken displayed on the same monitor.This is what I'm working in - 12pt Verdana, and it's microscopic!I literally cannot read it on a 30" monitor, and end up changing the font size, then have to change it back. It was better previously, but has never displayed properly. My resolution is set to recommended values - 2560x1440. 

My hard driver was fried in a lightening storm. All of the RoBoHelp 2019 files were saved on an exteral server. I have a new computer and installed RoBoHelp 2019 again. How do you load the project files into the program? I had an older version (2015) before the 2019 and there was a project file, however I can't seem to find that in the new 2019 version.

I have a really bad dry eye, and now find it hard to work in RoboHelp, despite medication. I have large monitors, but not being able to enlarge the text in RoboHelp is a real pain. In most applications, you can increase the window using View or at worst Ctrl +But there is no way to do that in Robo that I can find. Yes - I can increase the overall screen resolution, but that means rather than working in a smaller window and being able to utilize my entire desktop for other windows I'm capturing screenshots in, I have to minimize things, which is time consuming and annoying. Am I missing something obvious? Please say yes...

I am currently using Robohelp 2017.  I created a mirror image of my current project for a system conversion we are currently undertaking.  I want to publish the mirror image to our server using Webhelp Pro, but I want to change a setting that I don't know how to change.  My current project that I created the mirror image for when I publish using Webhelp Pro, it sends the output to "CCC_Future.htm".  My question is, how do change that output away from CCC_Future.htm so I can publish the mirror image of my project for training purposes, so that they don't both have the same output name?  I have looked everywhere in Robohelp and can't find how to do it.  I attached a screenshot of what I am looking to change. Please help!  

Hello, I have seen some older posts (for RH2017) that talked about this "click here to see this page in full context" showing up, but couldn't find an answer to my question for RH2019.  RoboHelp 2019 Responsive HTML5 preset, using Azure Blue skin (if that matters) Previously our context sensitive help would open a topic directly using the following (or close to it, we have changed it a few times through the RH versions): file:///C:/Argus/Program Files/ArgusHelp/Welcome_to_Argus_Help.htm?rhcsh=1&rhmapno=1950(this is a local test, normally it would open from within our software, called by the developer's code) Where 1950 is the topic to open. Now instead it is opening the default page (Welcome to Argus Help) and showing that link in the top right corner. When I click that link, it *does* go to the correct topic.  Is there no way to have it go directly to the topic anymore? I am finding customers are not realizing that they have to click the link and

Hi,I have created a new blank project in the RoboHelp 2017, and i kept the name as "demo1" on my desktop path"C:\Users\gangadharb\Desktop\New Project". But it is showing as the project or path contains illigal charecters. I also not not able to insert images in the new topic. Please help me regarding that.Thank You,Teja Gangadhar

Hi, I'm new to RoboHelp. Our company is working with RH 2017.  I am being asked to update the help files after the previous developer left. However, I do not see any RoboHelp project files (*.xpj, *.mpj, *.hhp, *.hlp or *.hpj) that would allow me to open the entire project. I dont seem to find any other way to open the project. Sorry for the trivial question but as I have very limited knowledge of RH, I'm not sure where to begin. Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks!

I've tried multiple methods to do it, but I can't import images that are referenced in Markdown files if those images are on a local drive (ie. in the same folder as markdown file).   I'm using Visual Studio Code to preview the markdown and the images are showing up, but once i import them into Robohelp, they are broken links.   To be clear, with absolute path http-based URLs it works fine, but something like this DOESN'T work:  or    What am i missing?
