My hard driver was fried in a lightening storm. All of the RoBoHelp 2019 files were saved on an exteral server. I have a new computer and installed RoBoHelp 2019 again. How do you load the project files into the program? I had an older version (2015) before the 2019 and there was a project file, however I can't seem to find that in the new 2019 version.
I have a really bad dry eye, and now find it hard to work in RoboHelp, despite medication. I have large monitors, but not being able to enlarge the text in RoboHelp is a real pain. In most applications, you can increase the window using View or at worst Ctrl +But there is no way to do that in Robo that I can find. Yes - I can increase the overall screen resolution, but that means rather than working in a smaller window and being able to utilize my entire desktop for other windows I'm capturing screenshots in, I have to minimize things, which is time consuming and annoying. Am I missing something obvious? Please say yes...
I am currently using Robohelp 2017. I created a mirror image of my current project for a system conversion we are currently undertaking. I want to publish the mirror image to our server using Webhelp Pro, but I want to change a setting that I don't know how to change. My current project that I created the mirror image for when I publish using Webhelp Pro, it sends the output to "CCC_Future.htm". My question is, how do change that output away from CCC_Future.htm so I can publish the mirror image of my project for training purposes, so that they don't both have the same output name? I have looked everywhere in Robohelp and can't find how to do it. I attached a screenshot of what I am looking to change. Please help!
Hello, I have seen some older posts (for RH2017) that talked about this "click here to see this page in full context" showing up, but couldn't find an answer to my question for RH2019. RoboHelp 2019 Responsive HTML5 preset, using Azure Blue skin (if that matters) Previously our context sensitive help would open a topic directly using the following (or close to it, we have changed it a few times through the RH versions): file:///C:/Argus/Program Files/ArgusHelp/Welcome_to_Argus_Help.htm?rhcsh=1&rhmapno=1950(this is a local test, normally it would open from within our software, called by the developer's code) Where 1950 is the topic to open. Now instead it is opening the default page (Welcome to Argus Help) and showing that link in the top right corner. When I click that link, it *does* go to the correct topic. Is there no way to have it go directly to the topic anymore? I am finding customers are not realizing that they have to click the link and
Hi,I have created a new blank project in the RoboHelp 2017, and i kept the name as "demo1" on my desktop path"C:\Users\gangadharb\Desktop\New Project". But it is showing as the project or path contains illigal charecters. I also not not able to insert images in the new topic. Please help me regarding that.Thank You,Teja Gangadhar
Hi, I'm new to RoboHelp. Our company is working with RH 2017. I am being asked to update the help files after the previous developer left. However, I do not see any RoboHelp project files (*.xpj, *.mpj, *.hhp, *.hlp or *.hpj) that would allow me to open the entire project. I dont seem to find any other way to open the project. Sorry for the trivial question but as I have very limited knowledge of RH, I'm not sure where to begin. Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks!
I've tried multiple methods to do it, but I can't import images that are referenced in Markdown files if those images are on a local drive (ie. in the same folder as markdown file). I'm using Visual Studio Code to preview the markdown and the images are showing up, but once i import them into Robohelp, they are broken links. To be clear, with absolute path http-based URLs it works fine, but something like this DOESN'T work: or What am i missing?
Hi all,I am just testing the new update 11 for RH 2019 new UI. Apparently, the master page is no longer considered for the PDF output for any of my existing projects. I also tried to use the default pdf master page and created a new one. I also removed any fields and just put plain text into the headers and footers. Still not working. When I create a new project, the master page is considered for the PDF output. Is anyone else having issues here? Any ideas what I might try to resolve this? Thanks and best regardsKarin
Hi. I’ve created two condition tags; one for VoIP audience and another one for Wireless audienceI’ve applied the tags on both content level and topic level. For PDF output I’ve created condition expressions:VoIP – Include VoIP;Wireless – Include Wireless. When I’m trying to generate Printed output with the Wireless condition expression selected, the content in the topics is not filtered with the Wireless tag. Instead, I see the content with both tags in the topic, the way it is in the project. My setup is pretty straightforward yet it doesn’t work in an expected way: to show only content and topic with a single tag applied. Is there an issue with condition expressions? Any ideas on how to define them correctly are welcome. I’m using the trial version, Update 11 and this is the showstopper for me to update.
I want to generate a mobile app using robohelp 2019, but there are no skins, when I try to select a skin. Are they supposed to be imported from somewhere?
We have custom fonts we want to include in our on-line help. So far to no avail.I have woff and woff2 fonts, copied into the HTML5 skin folder. But the fallback font is used anyway. To be clear: this is NOT about the title and TOC font of the skin itself; that will be phase 2. Just the topic body font, which I can regulate with my own CSS without any advanced hacks. My fallback body font is wingdings just to be sure which font I'm seeing, and sure enough, the output looks like a binary file 🙂 So the font-face isn't working. I tried copying the woff files from the output's skin folder to the output's root folder, but that didn't help either. Did someone successfully use custom fonts with @11220649-face in RH2019 new, HTML5 (azure)?
Generating Word output gives me following error when viewing the output:Please help me solve this issue. When I generate Word preset, it works fine, but when I try to view the output, Word gives me error and cannot open the file.
Hello all! I have been trying to figure an issue out with no luck. Using RH 2017 for my project with over 2500 topics. I have topic level conditional tags, separate TOC, glossary and index for each of my manuals that I want separated. In my webhelp output, I have conditional build expression with the topic level tags I want included. When my output is generating, in the 'updating HTML topics' it processes all my topics not just the tagged topics. My output TOC appears properly but the index and glossary are pulling from all the separate indexes and glossaries I have setup and not limited to just the topics I have How can I restrict this to just the index and glossary that I have selected in my content categories? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Hello,We have online help in RH 2017 responsive html5 format. When we launch the context sensitive help in chrome it opens as expected. The size of the browser windoes is slightly smaller than full screen, which is fine. The user can click maximize icon and open it full screen. However, on IE, the help window opens slightly smaller than full screen but the maximize icno appears grayed out/disabled.Any idea why that would happen on IE and work ok on Chrome. Not sure if this is something we can handle in RH or any other way. Maybe it is an IE browser issue.Any pointers anyone?
I would like to hide my Index in a RoboHelp 2017 project (AzureBlue layout). In the Customize Selected Layout, I select the Index property as false, and then click Save. When I return to this layout, True displays, so it is not saving. Is there an additional step I need to take?
Hi I have just upgraded all of our projects to 2019 Classic from 2015. All were publishing fine as standard WebHelp in 2015. After upgrade, a lot of CSS files are not being included in the publish. The pattern appears to be any CSS filename which has spaces within it and ends in a numeric does not now get included in the publish. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? Have tried applying recently released update 11 but didn't make any difference. Thanks Brian
Hello! For some reason once my counterpart published a repository in Robohelp, there are red squares on all of the pages and the master page property was removed from all master pages. I am not sure how this happened or how to fix it. We have added the master page back on but everytime we publish, it is removed again. We have no designated contact for Robohelp assistance with our employer and are trying to figure everything out on our own. Please help! thanks!
I have installed Opensans font in the bagage file and created Webhelp. The font was successfully embedded in this output. When I generated the chm from this output, the Opensans font appears only in TOC and not in the main section. Please suggest.
I am maintaining several help projects created with older versions of RH where the RHTML5 laoyout was configured using a screen layout. I can continue to maintain these projects with RH 2019 classic, but if I try to upgrade them to RH 2019 with new UI, the screen layout is converted to a skin which obviously looks completely different than the old layout. What is the recommended upgrade path in such cases? I would like to be able to use the new UI, as that is what will be maintained in the future, but how do I get there? I have tried searching for information, but I wasn't able to find any, but I hope my situation is not unique.
Hi, My name is Michael and I am in charge with the Specification team for the IWS product (the same group as ISIWARE that build the NORMEA product). I’m afraid the enclosed email had no answer from your tech support since December, 19th. To sum up, NORMEA and IWS use the ROBOHELP 2019 classic version and we both use relative links to images such as ../../IMG/image.png in the source project. When compiling the project (Responsive Layout), the « IMG » subfolder disappears thus it breaks the links. We get no answers from the "Adobe Technical Communication". If someone knows a workaround or a fix we would appreciate. Michaël
I have over 18 topics in my project. I generated the output and performed search for a word that I know exists in 15 of the 18 documents. The search result only returned 3 topics. When I did the same search using find (Find and Replace) in Author mode, all 15 documents appeared in the results of the find. Is there something that I need to do, short of creating a filter by keywords, to show the expected result; I do not always know what keywords users will be searching for.
Hello all,is there a way to define the style of glossary items for the PDF output in RH 2019 new UI (update 10)? I could not find any option to do so. Currently, the headers and descriptions are displayed in the same style. Thanks!Karin

Please change the way you (as developers of this site) can sort through postings. You cannot see all search results upon page scroll back and forth. You lose the search results upon each successive page navigation. My version control has been setup utilizing this guide: https://www.adobe.com/devnet/robohelp/articles/robohelp-tfs-integration.html I successfully implemented all installs, created a blank project, and all seems to be fine (even though documentation on tfs source sontrol is little to none). My question: I am utilizing the project type WebHelp for my company's website. With using team foundation server source control, I want to know with each iteration to a Robohelp project how do I only publish the files that have changed and not the entire source code directory with each minor change to a project?
I converted a small Responsive HTML5 Help system created in RH 2015 to RH 2019 (classic). There were a few problems with the styles, but everything seemed to convert ok. However, when I try to generate, it never finishes, nor does it give me an error message. I've let it spin overnight and it never finishes. If I click View Log, I get nothing. The progress dialog says it is patching topics, then stops naming the topics it is patching and just spins forever. I've looked at the last topic that it says it is patching, but I don't see anything in that topic except text and hyperlinks. The broken links report shows a bunch of broken links to images in the main.css and jqueryui-custom.css files. Looks like images used in the skin. In RH 2015, it works fine.
I am wanting to create four paragraph styles in my RH2019 (Version 10) project. Each style is to be autonumbered with text: WARNINGCAUTIONTIP NOTE I create a new paragraph style and in the Autonumber pane for the properties, I set the style to None, and the format to the text, for example, WARNING:. When I apply this style to text in a topic, I do indeed get the expected autonumber, and then I can add the appropriate text after the autonumber. However, I want the autonumber to be in bold, and I want to decrease the space between the autonumber and the following text. Where can I adjust these properties for an autonumbered style? Because it is not a List style, but a Paragraph style that I am creating, I do not see these options. I don't want to have to create a List style to be able to accomplish this task, but. . . .TIA, TVB
