Running Robohelp 2019.0.10 I have a small RoboHelp project. After I have started it, I have had to make a new first topic/frontpage. I have updated the browsing sequence and I have updated the TOC, but the project keeps publishing with the old front/homepage. Why might that be? I would have thought that updating the browsing sequence and the TOC would give me a new front page also when publishing to HTML5. I am probably overlooking something - but what?    

I have created a stylesheet for generating the "Printed Documentation" output for our RoboHelp 2019 Classic project.In the stylesheet, I give explicit absolute sizes (in cm and px) to the image styles.However, these image styles are not applied to images in the project when the Word document is generated. Instead, all images are either 100% of their size or 100% of the page's width.  Here is the CSS for a particular image which is displayed small in the RoboHelp project and HTML5 output:img.thumb_left_small { width: 120px ! important ; height: auto ! important ; float: left ! important ; margin-right: 25px; }The specified width of 120px (I also tried 3 cm) is not translated to the Word document when generating Printed Documentation: How can I give large images in my project a size that is smaller than 100% of the page width in the generated Word document?Any help is much appreciated 🙂 Thanks, Birgit

I would like to clarify that the issue with local help is that Edge removes the query parameters when opening a local file programmatically. In other words, file:///<path>/index_csh.htm#944 becomes file:///<path>/index_csh.htm   We're also having this problem and have not found a solution yet.

Hello!I'm working Robohelp 2019 and my version is up to date.  I'm having an issue when trying to assign a specific font color to H1 in the CSS. The CSS code clearly shows that the color for H1 is set to ac0000 but when I'm in the Author view it's showing as Black, when I preview the page it correctly shows as ac0000 but then when I generate and view the output for the page it shows as Black. This is a strange problem becuase just yesterday morning H1 was correctly showing as ac0000 in the Author view, preview, and generated output view; then all of the sudden, it stopped and only showed as black even though the CSS hadn't been edited. This same issue is also happening with tables where I have assigned the fill color of a row to ac0000 - in Author view it's showing as no fill, in preview it's showing as the fill being ac0000, when generated it's showing as no fill. Has anyone had this issue before?

Hi, Of lately, I have noticed that when I create a new topic or subfolder in RoboHelp 2019, it does not show up under the Contents tab. However, I do see the topic/subfolder in File Explorer. As a workaround, I have to close and reopen RoboHelp to see the new topics created (attaching screenshots of topic in File explorer and missing in RoboHelp). This is becoming a hazzle. Is there something I'm doing wrong?Please help!

Is there an equivalent search in RoboHelp 2019 to the "Find Topic" search in RoboHelp 2015?  I've located the "Find and Replace" search in 2019, but that searches through the content of topics. The Find Topic search only looks at the topic title properties for search results. We have a very large project with lots of folders, so this search function gets used very frequently.

Adobe RoboHelp 20192019.0.11Does anybody know how to configure the TOC in the PDF printed documentation? I want to show the doc title and h1s only in the PDF, but right now it's showing H2s as well. tia

Hi everyone. I ran into a RH problem yesterday that I cannot solve. For work, I am using RoboHelp 2017. I have 3 projects that we promote to the application I support. Yesterday, I generated the webhelp files for all 3 projects, and our developer promoted them to one of our test environments. Two of the projects promoted fine. The third one promoted the changes I made to existing files, but did not promote 3 new files/topics I created. I tried to update those three files and generate them again as WebHelp files. However, when the project was promoted to our test environment again, the entire Table of Contents was gone except for the search field function that normally appears at the very top of them. I had a dev take a look at it, and he said that, for whatever reason, RoboHelp is not generating the TOC files like it is supposed to.

After the latest upgrade my custom dictionary files at C:\Users\user.name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\RoboHelp\2019\dictionaries are empty. I noticed because words that I had added in the past were suddenly underlined again. I had about 30 words in there because I'm just starting out, so it's not much more than just annoying, but if I would have had hundreds of words in there (as I probably will have in the near future) I would not be happy. Are there more people whose dictionary was lost in the upgrade?

Hello Team, Whilst generating PRINTED DOCUMENTATION from Single Source Layout pod, I'm getting the following error “A supported version of Microsoft Word does not exist. I've inserted Google Analytics tracking code into the header/footer of master pages in RH 2017 and older, without issue. Hi all RH users,I need your help to understand a few things as I'm new to RoboHelp 2019 (Release). I'm writing a technical document on a project and wish to collaborate with the design team through Git. I have generated a few output screens (HTML5 and Frameless). However, the design team wants to make some modifications that I created on RH. So, I pushed the project to Git. But I did not see any output screens inside Git Repo but other files. My question is how can I have the output screens inside the Git so that our designers can make the necessary changes and push the same to Git. Later I will take a pull from the Git, and use the same as output layout. Next question is that once I have done with the design and content, how can I integrate my RH project to our application? Can this be done through Git as well? Or I just have to give index.html file to the developer? I would be grateful if someone could come forward and help me with definite answers. TIA

I am needing to add a button to the toolbar that will open a webpage in the topic window. I know how to add a button and have it link to the external webpage by opening a new window but I am wanting to use the topic window as the target. Is there a library of JavaScripts where I can find the correct code to add? Thanks

Do I understand correctly that only search key words can be added to a topic, and there's no way to specify a key phrase, i.e. a combination of words? If a specify a phrase, such as two words with a space between them, keywords from the phrase are found separately, which does not ensure that the phrase will prioritize the topic in search results.This is needed to ensure that for certain search phrases, a topic is shown at the top of search results. The search phrase is not necessarily mentioned in the topic body. Client: newRH version: 2019.0.10

Hi,I'm using RoboHelp 2019.0.10 (with the new GUI) in German. I try to import a Word document. New topics shall be created when text in the Word document is formatted with the style "Überschrift 1", which means "Heading 1". When importing the Word document, RoboHelp does not recognize "Überschrift 1" but only "Heading 1". Compare the image WordImportProblem.png. I select the option "Neues Thema aus Format starten" (means: Start new topic with style) and select "Heading 1".When importing my document RoboHelp does not recognize any "Heading 1" styles and does not create new topics. The reason may be: There is no style with the name "Heading 1" in my document, only "Überschrift 1".The German Word edition always uses internally the name "Überschrift 1" for "Heading 1". I cannot change this. When RoboHelp is not able to recognize this quite important style, how can I use RoboHelp for importing Word documents?THXMatthias LohrerRedML.de

Hello,I have been working with my software development team to do a proof of concept of migrating a context sensitive help project from Oracle Help to HTML5 Responsive Help. Exciting times! Is anyone making context sensitive calls to HTML5 responsive help that is installed locally without a web server? We have found that calls with the ? in them require HTTP processing/web server. Without a web server, the context sensitive call is not completed, just the call to the index file and default landing page for the help system. As a viable workaround, the developer has created a redirect file for each entry point into the help. So, we do have a go forward plan, but these redirect files introduce additional maintenance work for development as the help system changes over time so I would like to see if anyone has call syntax that works without a web server. Thanks!

Adobe RoboHelp 20192019.0.10I get this error when I try to generate a Word file. I have the permissions, file space etc. Even a test project with default css causes this.Anyone else getting this?

Hi Everyone, if I find a non-expected behaviour / a bug in Adobe RoboHelp, should I report that to the Adobe Support Community or should I directly create a ticket in the Adobe Tracker under https://tracker.adobe.com? What is the recommended way so that someone of Adobe can reproduce it and help me as efficient as possible? As far as I know, if I report it to the Adobe Support Community, someone of the Adobe Support Community first verifies if the behaviour is a bug and if so, creates a ticket in the Adobe Tracker. Thanks in advance and best regards,Sabine

I have a project which uses Hungarian as the default language, also the pages are set to this language.When generating output it fails: <p class="debug">responsive_skin finished.</p> <p class="debug">copy_assets finished.</p> <p class="info">Processing full-text search data...</p> <p class="debug">Cannot set property 'label' of undefined</p> <p class="error"></p> <p class="error">Failed to generate HU Responsive help. </p> <p class = "log" >= == == == == == == == == = </p>For me it seems the problem is with lunr, not registering the correct language tools (stemmer, trimmer, StopWordFilters).If I'm using the same project with english settings it simply generates the output without much ado.

Hello Could you please help me. I am using Robohelp 2019.  In the source files, the images are there but when i generate responsive HTML, the images are missing.   Then i have to open the robohelp file again and reinsert the image again.  The problem is that the source file is very big and i had to reinsert the images in all the pages wherever the image is missing in HTML5.  Strange thing is if a certain page has 10 images, i just have to reinsert one image in that page. then responsive html will start showing all the images in that partcular page. The file was generating the HTML5 properly earlier.  Please help me to understand why is this happening and how to correct this issue.    

Friends, have you ever applied one template to the Word output generated from RoboHelp and another template to the online help?Currently, I generate the Word output from RoboHelp and then apply the different template to the Word output. Do you think in RoboHelp you can indicate that template 1 should be applied to the Word output and template 2 to the online help output? If yes, then how? Note: By template I mean the font color, capitalization, and font size for headings, body text etc. In our project we have different specifications for the online help output and Word output. 

Hello, We are looking to install a copy of RoboHelp on our build server. Does this require a separate license? If so, is there a command line build component available for build servers that costs less than a full license? (We do not need authoring capabilities on our build server). Thanks.
