I have a RH2019 merged project and I have made absolutely sure that the same style sheet is being applied to all the child projects that are contained in the overall merged project.    When I apply specific styles to text, however, these styles are not being applied consistently within topics for a single project or across projects. I have attached two screenshots showing this. In the first screenshot titled "Correct Indentation," I show a style named Listing and a style named list-result- bullet. They are being applied at the same level of identation as the numbered list steps in the procedure. In the second screenshot titled "Incorrect Indentation," I show the same styles, but they are NOT being applied at the same level of indentation.             I have confirmed ad nauseum that I have the correct coding set up in the CSS for the numbered steps, etc. in each project and there is no difference in the paragraph tag that is assigned to the num

Robohelp 2019.0.9 merged project - how do I specify what is the page that is to be open when a user opens the Online Help? I want the first page in the first child topic listed in the TOC, but right now, it keeps opening to the first page in the second child topic and I cannot figure out how to change this.  

Publishing project from RH 2019.0.9 to RH Server 10 on Windows 2012 R2 on IIS 8.5   RHS10 configured and listening on port 80 response with "Congratulations" page when navigating to it.   Pubishing using Responsive HTML5 preset and encountered the Error message.  Viewing the Publish log and it contains the following:   Initializing publishing to cskpcloudwp4216 Unable to connect to server.   Generation of outputs does not have any error per the generated log.   Any help is appreciated.

We use RH 17 and Robosource Version Control. For one of the user in my team, RH is adding a paragrapgh in bullet list. Also, it is not saving her work. What could be the reason and how can we resolve it? See the attached Bullets.png. 

I have been struggling to assist one of my technical writers with a continuing issue with her laptop failing to connect to our SharePoint Online site.  Somehow, the connection profile (Team_RoboHelp) on her computer had gotten corrupted.  If I go to "Open Connection," it would state (empty), but if I tried to create a new connection, it showed it still existed.To get around that, I uninstalled both RoboHelp 2019 and RoboHelp 2017 from her laptop, then reinstalled RoboHelp 2019.  Now, it shows no profiles, and I'm attempting to create a new Connection.Collaborate > New ConnectionName: Team_RoboHelpVersion Control: SharePoint OnlineSharePoint Site URL: https://ourcompanyname.sharepoint.com/sites/Team_RoboHelpHonestly, it doesn't matter if I type the correct SharePoint Site URL or just enter gobbledygook, because the second I click on Login, I receive the generic "Application Error," which requests that we restart the application.  It doesn't even TRY to contac

Using RoboHelp 2019 v8, I want to change the Start Page from index.htm to index.html for system configuration reasons. However, when I make the change in the Frameless Output Preset, the change is not saved when I make the change.Where do I make the change in the generated output please?ThanksMichelle

I have successfully created and tested a skinned WebHelp output. However, when I run the chm generated from the RoboHelp script "WebHelp to CHM Converter.jsx" and click in the Search box, it immediately displays an error dialog with the description:Unable to get property 'toUpperCase' of undefined or null reference!The error is thrown from the whutils.js file, line 178.I'm running RoboHelp 2017, v13.0.2.334Your help as always is greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to upgrade a project from 2017 to 2019. In 2017 a style could be set to use thumbnails however 2019 seems to do it on an image by image basis.  Is there a way to set all images to Use Thumbnail in 2019?

Hello, Is there any way to make a generated Responsive HTML5 TOC mirror the appearance of a generated Microsoft HTML Help (CHM) TOC? Or, to put it in other words, is there any way to maintain the appearance of the TOC as it is displayed in RoboHelp's Table of Contents pod (small font, collapsible purple books, question mark icons for topics, etc.) when generating a Responsive HTML5 output? Thank you for any tips/help that you may have to share. Best wishes,Cameo

Hi all,   We've been using Perforce for version control for our Robohelp projects for the last year or so with no problems. The P4SCC plugin from Perforce made it smooth and you could check in and check out and add new files and all that from Robohelp.   Then sometime in the last year, Perforce got rid of the P4SCC plugin in favor of something called P4VS, which apparently is something you open through Visual Studio. Unfortunately, we're all writers and don't know anything about Visual Studio. We discovered this when we hired a new writer and I tried to install Perforce on her machine.   Anyway, I know this is a Perforce thing, but that tool (and that tool's help) is written by devs for devs, and there's no clue how to make this new plugin work. The support people I talked to had no idea and suggested just checking in and out from Perforce itself.   I thought I would ask here in case any of you have walked this path before and found gold at the end   If not, th

I am using RoboHelp 2017.Currently facing a strange issue. When I generate an ouput and open it in the Chrome/IE browser some of the topics which are linked to their respective books (TOC books) are not displaying the content and show the following error message."It may have been moved or deleted" Why have I said this issue strange? When this output is shared with other person (The server machine or shared location that I can access) and I open the output from my machine no issues are found. It works perfectly! Why this issue occurs when I open the output files from my machine? Please help.

When I generate output, some images are not displaying on the content pages.I resolve this issue by resizing them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------But, this is not the right solution and why I am saying this is, some images with bigger size do not have this issue and displaying properly. The images that not displaying on the pages just takes some place and do not show any error and symptom of any image insertion on the page.

In RH2015, we have a snippet that is a heading with a blue border over it. Now that I'm working in the new UI of RH2019 (no updated installed at this time), I recreated the snippet and inserted it on my master page (which we also did before). The heading is "Related Information" When I create a new topic with the master page, the snippet is only partly there. I can see the blue border, but not the "Related Information" heading. The heading is also no present when I compile the project. I think the border is (I last compiled yesterday). I'm not sure what changed or what I've not done correctly? Thank you,Cindy

I inserted a new table into a topic. The table contains one column with step-by-step instructions. I'm having the following challenges with the table:After I copy-paste the text and use Numbered style list in the toolbar, the numbers appears double (see screen #1). I then click Ctrl-Z and it corrects itself (screen #2); however the numbers don't appear in the correct font.The numbers are not aligned with the steps (screen #2).When there's a Note in between the steps, I remove the numbering from it but I'm not able to align it with the numbered steps above the Note (screen #2).The numbered steps below the Note restart numbering when it should continue numbering (screen #2). I need help fixing these. I have many more tables to insert into different topics. Thank You!

Hi All,I'm using RH2019 new UI update 10 on Windows 10. Currently, I'm struggling with the Word output. I have many screenshots in my documentation, and in HTML5 output as well as in PDF output, the size of them is as I want it to be. However, many of the images (not all of them, though) are way too small in my Word output. When I open this image in an image program like Gimp, the size also looks fine.These two screenshots show what I mean.I am not sure if this problem is at all caused by RH, but maybe someone of you guys has an idea what I might try to get the images into my Word output in the correct size.Any ideas will be greatly welcome.Thanks and regardsKarin

Search results show only topic title that includes the keyword. I need to show Heading2 in the same page that matches the search without adding it as sub-node.For example, a topic called Posts and includes "Add files" in the same topic page as heading two. When searching by "Add files", I got the main topic title "Posts". Is there a way to to make search shows Heading two even if it's not a separate topic?

Running Robohelp 2019.0.10 I have a small RoboHelp project. After I have started it, I have had to make a new first topic/frontpage. I have updated the browsing sequence and I have updated the TOC, but the project keeps publishing with the old front/homepage. Why might that be? I would have thought that updating the browsing sequence and the TOC would give me a new front page also when publishing to HTML5. I am probably overlooking something - but what?    

I have created a stylesheet for generating the "Printed Documentation" output for our RoboHelp 2019 Classic project.In the stylesheet, I give explicit absolute sizes (in cm and px) to the image styles.However, these image styles are not applied to images in the project when the Word document is generated. Instead, all images are either 100% of their size or 100% of the page's width.  Here is the CSS for a particular image which is displayed small in the RoboHelp project and HTML5 output:img.thumb_left_small { width: 120px ! important ; height: auto ! important ; float: left ! important ; margin-right: 25px; }The specified width of 120px (I also tried 3 cm) is not translated to the Word document when generating Printed Documentation: How can I give large images in my project a size that is smaller than 100% of the page width in the generated Word document?Any help is much appreciated 🙂 Thanks, Birgit

I would like to clarify that the issue with local help is that Edge removes the query parameters when opening a local file programmatically. In other words, file:///<path>/index_csh.htm#944 becomes file:///<path>/index_csh.htm   We're also having this problem and have not found a solution yet.

Hello!I'm working Robohelp 2019 and my version is up to date.  I'm having an issue when trying to assign a specific font color to H1 in the CSS. The CSS code clearly shows that the color for H1 is set to ac0000 but when I'm in the Author view it's showing as Black, when I preview the page it correctly shows as ac0000 but then when I generate and view the output for the page it shows as Black. This is a strange problem becuase just yesterday morning H1 was correctly showing as ac0000 in the Author view, preview, and generated output view; then all of the sudden, it stopped and only showed as black even though the CSS hadn't been edited. This same issue is also happening with tables where I have assigned the fill color of a row to ac0000 - in Author view it's showing as no fill, in preview it's showing as the fill being ac0000, when generated it's showing as no fill. Has anyone had this issue before?

Hi, Of lately, I have noticed that when I create a new topic or subfolder in RoboHelp 2019, it does not show up under the Contents tab. However, I do see the topic/subfolder in File Explorer. As a workaround, I have to close and reopen RoboHelp to see the new topics created (attaching screenshots of topic in File explorer and missing in RoboHelp). This is becoming a hazzle. Is there something I'm doing wrong?Please help!

Is there an equivalent search in RoboHelp 2019 to the "Find Topic" search in RoboHelp 2015?  I've located the "Find and Replace" search in 2019, but that searches through the content of topics. The Find Topic search only looks at the topic title properties for search results. We have a very large project with lots of folders, so this search function gets used very frequently.

Adobe RoboHelp 20192019.0.11Does anybody know how to configure the TOC in the PDF printed documentation? I want to show the doc title and h1s only in the PDF, but right now it's showing H2s as well. tia

Hi everyone. I ran into a RH problem yesterday that I cannot solve. For work, I am using RoboHelp 2017. I have 3 projects that we promote to the application I support. Yesterday, I generated the webhelp files for all 3 projects, and our developer promoted them to one of our test environments. Two of the projects promoted fine. The third one promoted the changes I made to existing files, but did not promote 3 new files/topics I created. I tried to update those three files and generate them again as WebHelp files. However, when the project was promoted to our test environment again, the entire Table of Contents was gone except for the search field function that normally appears at the very top of them. I had a dev take a look at it, and he said that, for whatever reason, RoboHelp is not generating the TOC files like it is supposed to.
