I recently updated to RoboHelp 2019 and I am tyring to link a FrameMaker book to a new project, but the files do not generate. I create a folder, right-click, select link, and then choose my FrameMaker book. I then right-click on the linked FrameMaker book and select Create Topics. Some actions are performed under the hood and a prompt tells me HTML files have been created......but that is not the case at all.    I am unable to open the files to view anything at all. After linking a book in RoboHelp 2017, I would select Generate and my HTML files would be created and available for viewing and editing.    How can I get this to work in RoboHelp 2019? I have been unable to find decent resouces on this issue and I am not going to link Word documents, which RoboHelp 2019 seems to prefer over FrameMaker, for some reason.    This is a very basic function that many users peform. 

Our product's Help is accessed via CSH using map IDs (no option to change to url method). We're using RH2017 and the Indigo layout. (In terms of our process, I commit the help to SVN and my dev team has a separate "build machine" with it's own version of RH and they build everything from there... I have confirmed that it has all the latest updates.)When a user accesses the Help, there is a brief flicker of the homepage TOC before it jumps to the topic page, and the topic page layout also flickers briefly before the topic content appears. (It's in the proper full page view, not the "show original context" issue that has happened to others).Once the topic is loaded, if you click on the logo in the header to get back to the homepage and access topics from there the flickering doesn't happen. So - is there a way to stop CSH calls from trying to go to the homepage first before loading the topic, and will this stop the flickering? I had to reinstall RoboHelp 2019 on a Windows 10 machine. Since then, when I generate responsive HTML output, I lose the indent settings for all lists and other styles with an indent. For example, my left indent is set to 36pt but the output does not add the indent yet in the project it displays as it should and the indent settings for the style are correct.This was not happening before I had to change operating systems and reinstall RoboHelp. I am using RoboHelp 2019 Classic edition. It is not a browser issue as the same thing occurs on Chrome, IE, and Firefox.

Hi all, I would like to delete the "index" - and "glossary" tabs in the WebHelp output in Robohelp 2019 (reimagined). Does anybody know how to remove these?   Cheers, K.

I generated responsive HTML output; however, I do not see the "Next" and Previous" icons visible in the output next to Print icon. I used all the 3 layouts. The icons are enabled in the layout. Is this a known bug?

  In the above TOC, is it possible to remove these plus and minus icons? Also, where is the code available for this setting in generated file. Is it in css or js? This is the file generated using Robohelp 2019 version.

I am using Adobe RoboHelp 2019 version 2019.0.8. I have solved all the broken links except 1. The broken links report appears as follows: I have cleared out all other broken links. I am unable to find More_Menu.htm# (above). I have done a search in RoboHelp 2019 in More_Menu.htm. Nothing. I clicked on fix broken links (below) and it creates more broken links and does not fix the problem. The tool wants me to replace the broken link with something. I don't know what to replace it with. I would like to find it first.   I downloaded Ecobyte Replace Text to see if this tool would find the More_Menu.htm#. Again I did not know what to replace the link with. I am using 2019 Classic Responsive HTML help. When the help home page topic loads, it initially loads with parentheses characters used for some acronyms and some extra spaces after a table at the bottom of the topic. This appears for only a moment (maybe a second), before scripts finish running/when the page finishes loading. The parenthesis characters disappear along with the extra space at the bottom of the topic before the footer. I am planning to try to hunt down the script that is running and attempt to fix the page-load bug, but I was wondering if anyone else has come across this or knows what script needs modification.

Has anybody else had this problem? When I generate the WebHelp output and then view it, it opens up like this in my ie:   Or even better, does anybody know how to fix it? /K.

Hi,   I'm currently working with Context Sensitive Help and I want to list my Map ID's according to map number. But as soon as I click on the tab to change the list order this red box pops up. Does anybody know why this happens and how to solve it? Thanks,   K.

I'm working on a Help file on RoboHelp 2017 Ver 13.0.0.257. The main font used is Calibri. However the client (who has a Macbook) gets a different layout in the HTML 5 Output. The main differences are: The main font is now Times New Roman The Sidebar is arranged vertically. The problem arises in the Table of Contents. Clicking on a book expands the book to cover over the navigation page. For example Topic 1 Subtopic 1 page 1 page 2  page 3 When clicking page 2, the menu now becomes Subtopic1 page 1  page 2 page 3   Is there a fix for this? The client does not like the look of Times New Roman and the fact that a user should click Back on their browser to go back to the list of topics. I fiddled around in a Mac mini with a huge monitor and I found out that resizing the browser screen helps.   Thank you and I apologize for the lengthy post.

I chatted with RoboHelp Support about this but when I tried I still was unclear. I was told to right-click in the table, click Select, Table, which I did and the table is selected, then to select General and the ol list displays. (I'm assuming the style is because the table is in a number list). However, in the list of information you can set, I'm not sre what to choose: Alignment, Layout-Width or Layout-Margins. I would like to know which one to set to indent my table, but an excplanation of each of these options would be helpful. I have tried each of these and cannot get any of them to work.   Thanks, MDawn  

When I export my project from Robohelp to HTML5, it seems to be inserting either paragraphs with non-breaking spaces in them, or with this character as well: Â The blank divs happen at the top of every page, only some of them contain that extra character above. I'm using the Azure skin with some minor CSS changes.    

In RoboHelp 2019, where can I find the details of the ul and ol styles. In a numbered step, the number is displayed at tge bottom of the line's text rather than on the first line. when I look in the Styles list in tghe right side list, the style is showing as p. I am new to RoboHelp 2019. Thank you.MDawn

We have tried several different types of Output for 5 of our online help RH2019 New projects. The output generates as expected, however when we do our internal testing for 508 Compliance many of the tests are failing. Is anyone else having issues with obtaining 508 Compliant Output using RH2019 New?  Using version 14.0.9 Also: We tested using the sample projects that come with the RH2019 Installation. Each of the sample projects are also failing many of the 508 compliant tests.

I am currently creating an instructional manual using RoboHelp 2019 classic and publishing to a server using WebHelp. I have added a glossary so that the user can view the definition, descriptions etc. only when needed. I unstand that the "Glossary Hotspot Wizard" can automatically add expanding hotspots to any topic containing an identical phrase found in the glossary. My question is, why within 1 single topic, when the glossary term is found 4 times, why is the 'hotspot' recognozing the first and last times the term is used? I would think that within a topic the hotspot should identify the first time the glossary term is used, or all times it is used. I don't understand the logic. Here is an example:  

I am creating an instructional manual using RoboHelp 2019 classic - publishing to a server using WebHelp. When accessing the published manual, clicking on the Search function, Typing in the word(s) to search for and clicking Go. No results are generated. The screen is blank. My output setup is exactly the same as the current manual which is published to the same server also using WebHelp but using RoboHelp 2015. Can anyone direct me to what I may be doing incorrectly. Here is a screen print of my search page.            

What's the best way to import a PDF document directly into Robohelp 2019? I don't see PDF as an option under the import function. When I try to use the import > file feature, any pdfs or files I try to import show up as blank pages. Since our organization primarily utilizes PDF resurces, I want to find a way to import these documents while preserving current formatting and layout.   Currently, in order to get the content of our PDF documents, I'm uploading scanning PDFs to my desktop, then importing into the Robohelp 2019 Classic view, then converting to HTML, then importing them into the new Robohelp 2019 interface. This is a time consuming process that produces images of poor quality and text that cannot be searched.   Even when I try to import word docs, my formatting is often thrown off, making lots of work for each document.   I appreciate your feedback/suggestions.

Can you cite the advantages/disadvantages of authoring end user documentation in Zendesk? I currently use RoboHelp as the tool to create online Help for our many web applications. A Support manager is pushing to drop RoboHelp and use Zendesk as the authoring tool for online documenation. He wants to simplify the number of tools we use to deliver content to users. My manager isn't so sure and has tasked me with the job of researching whether this is a good idea. 

I'm using RoboHelo 2019, I'm having trouble getting a bulleted list to indent properly. I'm putting a bulleted list below a numbered step and I want the bulleted list to indent to at least the left margin of the text of the numbered step. I got the bullet line to indent too far to the right and now cannot get the bullet line to move far enough to the left. Thanks,MDawn

I have a PPTX file. Is it possible to embed it in a help section of responsive html5 help such that user can view it by using back/next arrows or << and >>. Dont want the user to download the ppts but view it in-place/in-context. Is it possible?

Hello Community,   I work with RH Classic 2019 using TFS/source control. Unfortunately the buildtag and variable apj files do not get read in properly when opening the rh project and as a result I cannot create the online help for particular customers 😞 The files seem to be loaded correctly from tfs into the local folders but RH does not seem to grab them 😞  Has this ocurred to anyone else and is there maybe a workaround to load the files? Thank you very much!      

Please forgive my inexperience with this tool. I am learning as I go, with no one around to teach me. I was updating a Help built by someone else. I just updated my files and attached a new style sheet to all my topics. When I generated my Help (WebHelp), I could not view anything. I went back into RoboHelp HTML (version x5), and now every topic has a small red x to the left of it. I cannot edit any topics now (the edit feature is grayed out). Please help! I have no idea what's wrong.
