Hello, I've created a map file and auto-mapped all of my topics (22) but the whcshdata.js file is missing the mapping code. RH 2015 Version 12 for windows.Reviewed forums and found similar issue whcshdata.js file is empty in CS WebHelp output but my RH settings menu does not have a Content Categories area where I can check off the BSSCDefault.h fileWhat's the solution to this issue?Thank you for your help!

Clicking on the HELP menu on the website - brings up a RoboHelp system of files - and unfortunately, as you know - the menu tree has issues working in Chrome. A previous vendor created the help system in RoboHelp, and no longer supports this customer - luckily, we received 4 large ZIP files, containing the 4 main folder structure created by RoboHelp.  If I load these files locally, I am able to find INDEX.HTML inside of the folder named "!SSL!/WebHelp" and the help system operates normally in both IE and Chrome.Thus I am not sure about the suggestion editing "whthost.js" - not sure that will apply in my case.Without using WebHelp or RoboHelp, just utilizing the HTML output I currently have, do I have any options moving forward?

I created a test project in Responsive HTML 5 I experiment with, and use to store different designs. Now I want to create the real project, and import a screen layout from the test project. Online help just says the following: "To import a screen layout, select Import and specify an SLZ file name."There is no illustration, and no instructions on where to go to locate "Import," which I don't see anywhere. In older versions it used to be under File, but it isn't there in 2017. When I look for .SLZ files in the Robohelp project directory, nothing displays.How do I do this?

In RH responsive html5 output can we gather user information about which help topics are accessed? I.e., generate reports on usage?  And also, can we gather customer feedback such as “Was this topic helpful”?

When I try to generate ah HTML5 layout out of my project, it looks like below.  I'm also getting the error:  "The variables titleColor, backgroundColor, logo, and fontFamily are not available in the usersettings.js file.You must upgrade your responsive HTML5 layout to the latest version to include these variables, so that the layout appears fine in the generated output.Visit http://www.adobe.com/go/learn_rh_upgrade_html5_layout_en page for information about upgrading your layout." even though when I went to the web page and checked the files against the fixes, they appear to be fixed.I need this ASAP, no kidding.   Having no end of problem with this and don't know why.I have another project that works fine, and I don't know what the difference is.

Hello, Does anyone have any experience of moving the 'Back' button in the Indigo layout? The 'out of the box' position for the Back button is actually at the top of the page on its own line (position 1) but I've managed to work out how to change the CSS so that it isn't taking up an entire line by itself.However, it's now displayed first when I would I would prefer it was displayed last (position 2). Does anyone know how to move it to position 2?Thanks,David.

I am using conditional build tags to create US and UK versions of my help. So I will have two outputs, one for each, and we will deliver the relevant one depending on the location of the user. I want our support team to be able to see both versions so they can be sure they are seeing the same help output as the user they are helping. I am already creating a third output for the support team, which includes all sorts of info marked with an 'internal' tag so I thought it would be nice to include dynamic content filters for UK and US so the support team can easily switch between language versions. But if I add these filters, I think they will show up for everyone. I only want them to show for the support team. How can I achieve what I want?Using RH2017 (and new to it).

I lied! I'm back, and hope this is the last time. I prefer lurking.When spot checking after publishing to my 2012 r2 server (I was previously using an old 2003 server), I noticed an oddity.At the top of my topic pages, I always have a link to my application, so they can read, then click and enter. In some cases, I have other links to other websites. I am finding if I click a link which should open in the frame, nothing happens. If I right click and choose open in new window, or set it to launch in a new window there is no issue. Reproducible in chrome, safari, IE and firefox. This is true for any external website as well. Links within the KB referring to another page are fine.Went back to 2003 and confirmed it's fine. Was there some change in 2012 that I can no longer do this?Thanks again...Anahid

I have several KB's I've created and published over the years, and only have this issue with one. Since I'm moving to a new windows server, i'd love to resolve this issue. On the old server, I always had to type wpahelptest.mot-mobility.com/index.htm to get it to open. I still have to do this, and it's annoying. I can partially solve it, but would love to understand what's wrong and how to resolve.The first page is named "welcome"After uploading to the new, I had the same issue. So I added welcome.htm & welcome.html to my IIS default document.Now, if I enter just wpahelptest.mot-mobility.com, the page opens, but the frame & contents are not here - I have to click on "show"

I recently upgraded from having separate RoboHelp and FrameMaker products (2017 version) to the TCS suite (2019 version). I've been able to use FrameMaker 2019 no problem, but when I attempted to import my document from RoboHelp, I can no longer see a FrameMaker import option. The only options available in the Import menu are Word and Captivate. I've looked up the import instructions for importing a FrameMaker document and they are the same for RH 2019 as they have been. Does this mean my RoboHelp install is defective? Below is a screenshot of my File menu with the import options.

Hi,We have a scenario where we have a Windows server on which we have the help hosted on Apache Tomcat web server. This Windows machine is a dedicated help hosting server. Technical publications team can generate the help output manually and copy and paste the output folder to the help hosting server by doing a remote desktop connection. This however is error-prone and not the best way.Can someone throw some light on how the Publishing options FTP and/or HTTP would work?

I am generating a Responsive HTML5 output and publishing it to a File System/shared folder on a Windows server.Can I do that the same on a Linux machine? Would RoboHelp be able to connect to a FS/shared folder on a Linux server?Has anyone tried it?

Hi All,I have been maintaining an RH10 HTML project for several years. I have compiled it many times to update content and it has worked well when opened from the web application it documents. Recently, however, when we replace the help files with the files from my latest compile, then open help from the application, the Contents, Index, and Search tabs have no content. The tabs appear, but the area below them is blank rather than filled with Contents or Index entries or the Search field.  I notice that there is a spinner in the upper left corner of the help window, which suggests that help is trying to render Contents, Index, and Search content, but can't for some reason. When we replace the latest compiled files with an older version of these same files, the Contents, Index, and Search content renders correctly, so the issue seems to be with the compiled files themselves, not with the application (which is in active development at the moment) nor with the configuration of the se

Newbie TW here. I'm currently working on a HTML5 Online Help project where two main help systems share the same context sensitive help topics. The problem is I can only link the CSH topics to one main help. Removing the "Click here to see this page in full context" link located on the top right portion of the CSH window solves this problem. I would like to ask the experts here for help in locating which file to modify in order to remove the link. I'm using Robohelp 2017, btw.Thanks in advance for your help.

Good afternoon, I'm authoring a help project using Indigo Layout in RoboHelp 2017, all is well but I have this one functionality that needs to utilize the contents of 1 book inside my TOC. For example, I made a container in my homepage that's labeled as "Downloadable Forms", then in my TOC,  I added a book with the same name and added the baggage files/topics that contains any downloadable forms. Now since RoboHelp fetches all data from xml's through javascript and lists them all as tiles inside the homepage, is there a way for me to fetch and list the data from that particular book and not the entire TOC and put them inside my container?

RH 2017 (13.02.334)So, I've received this error in the past but for different files, usually with .fpj files (and I have script from helpessentials.com that fixes that). However, today it's happening with rhsharedresource.apj. One of the things that we've been doing is applying a new style sheet (.css file) to all our projects and that we have stored up in a SharedResources folder on a mapped network drive, and I think something got messed up somewhere.If I click OK and then access the Resource Manager, nothing is linked anymore:Any ideas on how to resolve this error so that things are now linked properly? I've tested the code of the .apj inside an xml validator and it's fine.

Hi all, first time poster. I had a question about the Indigo Screen Layout. I have noticed on long named Book Titles or Topic Titles, that the text ends shorts and displays (...). I've looked through the theme-1.css and layout.css, but haven't had any luck making the title text wrap and display everything. I've also changed the number of TOC tiles in a row in the Layout Customizations, but I'd like to keep it at 4-5 to display.I am using RoboHelp 2017 and have the recent updates. Any suggestions or advice on how to possibly make the titles wrap for both topics and books on the Indigo Screen Layout Homepage would be greatly appreciated.Here are some example screenshots of what I'm referring to:Thanks,Paul

I can't find this in the Robo doc. I have a blue icon that I move over to the TOC tree in the Printed Doc dialog. It turns gray. RoboHelp no longer recognizes it. If blue means indexed or in the contents, does gray mean dead? Why? How can I get Robo to use this? The other entries are used in the same places but aren't gray.

I'm creating an HTML5 help system for software that communicates with multiple products. I'd like to reuse topics as much as possible. Each topic is 80% the same with only slightly different text/screen shots. Is there as way to have a single topic listed multiple times in a TOC and control the content in each instance separately?For example:TOC    Product A        Topic A (only showing content for product A)        Topic B (only showing content for product A)    Product B        Topic A (only showing content for product B)        Topic B (only showing content for product B)These are the solutions I've thought might be possible:Conditional text allows me to restrict the content shown in the output, but will not allow me to restrict the content based on where it is in the TOC.Snippets would allow me to reuse the content
