Switched to the new Indigo layout, works beautifully in my RH-generated output but when we access it from our product the topic area is blank. I made sure I had all the recent RH updates.Any ideas?

I am using RoboHelp 2015 Ver 12.0.4.460Just recently, when I create the Printed Documentation as Word output, the hyperlinks are included as plain text, no links. This has worked before,except for an occasional one or two. Now, 90% are coming across as plain text. It's time consuming to create the hyperlink for each one in Word. Any thoughts on the reason/cause for this?Thanks,MDawn

Hello,My company recently approved the upgrade to RoboHelp 2017 so we can start using responsive HTML5 help. We very much like the Indigo layout, but have one major obstacle to implementing it.Right now, the Table of Contents sidebar and the content area for the topic/body appear stuck in iframes with interior scroll (see image). We hope to use this layout for API documentation, where the topics can be quite long. Even at a good desktop resolution, users see this interior scroll rather than having the entire layout scroll with the page.Is there a way to make the content, table of contents, and other widget areas scroll with the screen? We'd really like for the browser to control the scroll behavior rather than having multiple scroll bars clutter the screen.Thank you!

I have a RoboHelp v2017 question related to CSS variables.We're trying to implement CSS variables in our style sheet but when I implement it in RoboHelp, the Design view and the Preview Topic view (Ctrl+W) doesn't recognize the style sheet at all. Once I generate or publish it in Responsive HTML5 output it looks great though.Does anyone know if this is a reported bug? If so, is there a targeted version of RoboHelp that fixes this?It's especially annoying for large projects to have to generate the project each time a new variable is introduced to test/review the update when I should be able to just do a preview of a topic from within the RoboHelp application. It also seems odd that Adobe would release an HTML5 output without taking all possible CSS3 enhancements into consideration.Thanks!

I am having some weird "hide navigation component" function suddenly show up in the top-right side of some of the pages I worked on. I did not put it there, and when I looked into the pages that have this, I cannot tell if there's anything different (any extra html tags) from pages that don't have this. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? This is creating problems for 508-compliancy. Thank you.

Hello,I am new to this forum, I hope I selected the right category to post this question.We recently upgraded from RH 11 to RH 2017.Some of our topics contain buttons for which we apply the conditional build tag "NoPrintDoc".Is there any way to have this tag displayed as in RH 11, where the entire row was highlighted hatched in the respective tag color?The new display (overlined content with selected tag colour) is rather difficult to see in case of tagging buttons, as it only appears as a small coloured dot next to the button (compared with the highly visible mark in the entire row in RH11).I would be glad for any advice.

I've inherited a document from a former employee. I need to make some version updates but every time I change the content of a Topic Link, it duplicates into all the Topic Links.I have a graphic which is the source of the link. Once I open the topic link to edit, I can. After saving, and moving on to the next Topic Link, the previous information I changed is in this Topic Link. Please help!

In RoboHelp 2017 the search has always worked in all browsers. Since late last week search no longer works in IE version 11. I guess it's a security issue (I've read much earlier posts), but who knows what to look for? What are the security issues in IE that would stop a RH webhelp search?

Suppose, I have created a Project in RoboHelp for a Product N1 and generated WebHelp from it. Now with the release of Product N2, I upgraded the content in the same source files.Now, I want RoboHelp to generate the conditional based output. The changes marked for new release (N2) should show in WebHelp for Product N2, but when I compile it again for Product N1, the updated content of N2 should not be included in it (N1 Web Help).Please provide me the steps to fulfil this requirement.

Hi All,I am updating topics in an RH10 HTML project that I have worked on for many years. The project includes about 500 topics divided among 8 folders. One of the folders contains what we call "PageHelp" topics. I have noticed that the topics in this folder are not being included in my recent compiles of the project. I compile the project as WebHelp. I have unmarked the "Exclude unreferenced topics from Output" box in my WebHelp settings, as the PageHelp topics are not, in fact, referenced by other topics or the TOC or Index. This has not helped.I notice that the icon for my PageHelp folder containing all the topics missing from my compiles appears in the Project Manager pod as shown below. I suspect the red triangle is telling me something, but I'm not sure what or what to do to make it go away. I have not been able to find any info about this in RoboHelp help. The triangle does not appear in any of the other folder icons listed by the Project Manager.I would greatly appreciated sugg

Hi All!Publishing with RoboHelp 8...WebHelp generates and publishes properly to the server. Viewable, working, all good.Browser Based AIR Help previews, generates, publishes, but won't display via IE or Safari. All that I get is a blank page instead of index.htmSide Note/Side Issue: Project contains links to Baggage File PDF's. The links in the WebHelp version works properly. The BB AIRHelp only displays a blank page Any thoughts?

Long story short, right now (soon to change) I have zero control over the Development of PDFs sent to my group. Sometimes, they’ll download them from our output, and edit them... and we Have had folks paste PDFs from output in to input. It sucks, the process is changing and we are migrating to version control, RH server, and switching to HTML5. For now I need what little I have to make it to the finish line.How can I manually remove coding and text searching from a PDF (we have adobe acrobat x) ? I don’t exactly know what RoboHelp does to. PDF when it generates so I’m lost on what to change. Basically, I just want to make sure that before anything goes in to the project files it is washed... because I have no clue where the PDF came from the only place I have control is right before we import. Do I turn off text searching? Is there a way to see code and delete it?

I have been using RoboHelp 2017 and dealing with the following situation: I have a help with certain topics that show different font than applied to it. I can't understand the reason because I have been using the same Styles and Formatting applied to all topics, but only some of them have this discrepancy. I will illustrate it to make it easier to understand. This is my list how it appears when editing my topic in RoboHelp (correct font size);However, when I generate a Microsoft HTML Help output (CHM file), this is how the same text appear:I don't know how it happens and only on some words... If the same style is applied to all sentences... Maybe someone can help me.. I am trying to fix it. Thanks in advance!

Hi,We have developed a responsive help with Robohelp 17 HTML 5. Now, we want to know if we can track anyway how the content is being consumed by users? Say, can we add a Like button, for instance, which indicates the content is found useful by the users? Or how many users are coming to the page and liking the content on the page? If we can add a feature such as a Like button or anything else that helps in tracking, can you please mention the steps to include the same in a responsive help created in Robohelp 17 HTML5?It would be helpful if anybody can provide answer to this.

How do I make the topic highlighted in the left-side navigation pane when the topic is accessed directly from the application (and not simply by searching the topic within the help file)? For example, in the screenshot, I accessed the contextual topic from the application page, and the topic is highlighted in left-side navigation pane. No matter what I do, I can't seem to figure out how to do this in RoboHelp, and I cannot find any "how to" on the internet.

I created a customized HTML 5 Layout based on the Theme1_Standard layout.  Our logo is rectangular and will not fit in the default image box.  I want to move the logo to the right side of the header.  I don't see how to do this in the Layout Customization dialog.  Is there a way to do this in the html code somehow?  By the way, the logo looks great in the desktop and table Preview from the Layout Customization dialog.  It is the correct size and the header title adjusts to the right so that there's enough space for the rectangular logo. However, in the phone preview, the logo is tiny.  And when I generate the Responsive HTML5 single source layout with the new theme, the logo is tiny in the Chrome preview, even for desktop.Thanks.Gina

Hi there!I am trying to center the logo in the indigo template on the header of both the master page and the topic page. I am modifying the scss files directly, and cannot figure out where in the code to modify the position of the logo. Does anyone know? Note, I figured out how to nudge the logo left and right, but I want the image locked in the middle. Thanks!Stephanie

Hi,I have a help system in RH 2017, where I am using Responsive HTML5 format/output. I have done some customizations, changes to the CSS, master page, header logo, added dynamic filters, and so on so forth. This however is a PoC.I want to roll it out/apply it to an actual production help, which is currently in a web help format.Is there anyway to make a template from the PoC and then apply/import the template on to an existing web help? Or does it need to be redone?

I'm using IE 11 and RH2017, and when a user clicks through the help files, then hits the BACK button on the browser, the main frame with the help page reverts to the prior page, but the Navigation pane remains unaffected.

Using: RoboHelp 11 on Windows 10.I inherited a very large help project that contains a lot of information that does not need to be in the help. The project contained 1 TOC, and we have determined that some entire sections of the TOC can be removed.  I have also discovered, however, that many topics are linked to multiple places in the TOC. When I open the HHC file for the full TOC in Notepad++, there are over 40K lines when all is expanded.I have created 2 TOCs from the original (OK, I've really made 5, but 2 is fine for the purposes of this question). 1 has all of the books I want to remove, and the other has the books to keep. I have adjusted my Topic List pod to display the File Name, Title, and TOC Name.Using this, I feel I can safely delete all files that are only in the Ins TOC, but not the ones that in both Ins and Training Guides TOCs. I also want to delete the files using Windows Explorer and not have the RH Project open while I do this. <Please tell me if this is the

I'm having an issue after migrating and generating the project in HTML5 the menu and views appear but not scrolling in the browser, so I'm able to see only partially all views.
