My accessibility testing of RoboHTML files is failing with this error: WCAG 2.0: Success Criterion 3.1.1: The value of the LANG attribute must be set to one of the ISO 639 language codes. [LanguageISO639_2]. I tried adding the following lines of code (one at a time) to one of my pages: <html lang="eng" xml:lang="eng"> <html lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us"> <html lang="en" xml:lang="en"> <html xmlns=" http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <hhtml xmlns=" http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="eng" lang="eng"> Then I regenerated the files, but I still get the error. Does anyone know how I can fix this? It would be nice if I could add the correct code to the template ... Thanks.

I have a lot of variables in my project and when I use the search feature it usually finds results based on old variable values. How can I update the project so that the search finds results with the current variable values?

Hello,I have heavily customized the Indigo template to suit my company's design standards. All was looking good until I uploaded the new help to our server and tried out context-sensitive help from our application.I am getting some other kind of page template that I didn't expect. It shows the topic contents only, and doesn't have the TOC/Search etc. At the top left is a link: "Click here to see this page in full context." This link doesn't even work properly - our correct help template flashes and then this odd "context topic" page returns.If you would like to see what I am talking about, please click: Selecting Similar Objects I have searched and searched, and cannot figure out where this context-sensitive page is coming from. It's not in Topic.slp that I can find. (Topic.slp is my Default page since I didn't care for the Homepage with its TOC links.) Hello. My issue is similar to a problem posted earlier. However, there are a few differences. We recently upgraded from RH9 to RH 2017 release (build 13.0.2.334). When generating WebHelp, FlashHelp, or Responsive HTML5 output the search feature did not work at all when previewed or when uploaded to our web server (not SharePoint). Adobe Tech Support sent the following instructions for a fix:Download the file from the fowling link: Link deleted by Moderator. See Post numbered 4 in thread. Once downloaded extract the zip file. Copy the file “loadprojdata.js”.Go to  the location <RoboHelp_install_location>\RoboHTML\ResponsiveHelpExt\widgets\common\scripts> and replace with the existing one.This fixed the search issue for Responsive HTML5 output when previewed and when uploaded to web server and viewed with IE11. It did not fix the issue for FlashHelp or WebHelp when uploaded to web server and viewed with IE11. Search works when previewed, but not when it's been uploaded to t

Any points to be considered when we migrate from traditional Web Help to responsive Layout?We also have existing context-sensitive topic calls. Map IDs have been assigned to the topics in RH 2017.Any pointers on how the developers can update their code to make way for Responsive layout?

I used robohelp 9 word.I upgraded to RoboHelp 2017 3 months ago and it worked. This week applied update2 and now my TOC are not working.I don't have a hpj files mine is xpj.

Hello All,I have created three topics with sub topics in my TOC as shown below, but when i am clicking on the 3rd Book named as Third Party licenses then on the right pane no content specific to that topic  is displayed on the page. The right side page shows only some drop down links and no content.The image for the same is shown below.Please help to resolve the issue.Regards,Richa

I already have two versions of webhelp published: version 1 and version 2. In version 3, there are perhaps only 10- 15 new topics that I have added.My web hosting site has restricted the number of files and folders that I can upload. By publishing the entire project with each release, I have used up a lot of my file space (inode). I cannot delete the earlier OLH versions because my customers who have not upgraded still refer to it.I tried using URL’s of the existing, unchanged .htm files from version 2 to reduce the .htm files. (right click TOC page> Properties> General tab> Link to> Web address> copied URL> OK.)As indexing and search keywords were not taken into account from those URLs, I added keywords manually to the URL’s and external search content. This has increased the files in the …\!SSL!\WebHelp\whxdata folder.So, I am back to square 1.  Any suggestions to solve this?I am using Robohelp 2017

Hi all,in the last weeks, I've been having very bad performance when I needed to create a new folder or file in one of my projects or when I tried to move this empty folder to the right place. The project manager tab becomes blank and it takes several seconds before the folder is created. This happens after creating, moving, renaming. Sometimes, RH even crashes and after restart, the new files are not in the project manager (however, when I recreate them, RH says, they already exist). Is anyone else having such issues? I browsed the forums and only found posts from 8 years ago. Any ideas what I could try to improve the performance?The size of my projects is about 200 files in 150 folders.CPU usage of RH is about 25 % while I'm waiting for the folder to be created.I'm using RH 2015 (12.0.4.460) with Windows 7. I use RoboHelp 2017. When I open content in the Design tab, the content appears written one below the other like so:Heading 1This is sample text and the wholecontent appears so.When I double click the right-indent place holder in the ruler, the text spreads across the page like so:Heading 1This is sample text and the whole content appears so.When I close the file and open it again, the content is back to being one below the other.This does not have any adverse effect on the output. The webpage properly displays the content. How can I rectify the settings in the editor so that the content becomes easier to edit?

I am upgrading a project from RH9 to RH2015 and want to use a new style sheet with completely different specs. However, this project is quite large, and it seems that I have to change the style sheet for each individual topic.Is there a way to do a "global" style sheet change?

I have a project that contains 47,821 files, 456 folders.  It is 891 MB.  When I try to add content, it is taking several seconds to add the content I typed.  Is this due to file size?  Is there a size limitation?  What can be done to make RoboHelp responsive to my edits?

Hi everyone.I've been facing problems when I try to output my CHM file (RoboHelp 11).The problem is that some topics appear in the list, but their content is in blank!Some topics are OK, but others are in blank. When I generate them clicking "Microsoft HTML Help" sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I don't know why it happens... If you can help me... It's save on a local folder. The weirdest thing is that some topics are OK, but others not.Sometimes the same topic can be viewed, but if I generate it again, the same content disappears...I will put some pictures to explain it better to you. The next image is the same topic shown in the previous image... I can't figure out why it happens...Thanks in advance!

Greetings,I found slightly similar issues when I searched the forum. However, none of them appeared to match my specific issue.I am using RoboHelp 2015 and the latest version of Firefox.We have page-level CSH in one of our products. When using Firefox, clicking the page-level Help links opens the Help window. However, it is blank. This does not occur in IE or Chrome.The Developers noted the following problem:Take for example our Views.htm topic.The following line causes a problem:var nPos = location.hash.indexOf(">>");In Chrome, location.hash has the following value:.../onlinehelp/whskin_tw.htm#Views/views.htm>>cap=CSH>>pan=1In Firefox, the same line has the same value, only encoded as follows:.../onlinehelp/whskin_tw.htm#Views/views.htm%3E%3Ecap=CSH%3E%3Epan=1The Developers have come up with a "quick and dirty" fix, but it would have to be applied each time we push the Help system to one of our environments.Can anyone help?Thanks in advance!Ann GreensethIntermedix

I cannot change the font in the Font change button on my customized ribbon. The font I selected doesn’t show up. It changes for a random font. At least, the Font change button in the Edit module stills work but it is disrupting my work a lot.This bug appeared randomly, suddenly. We relaunched Robohelp.We tried in a blank project.We restarted the computer.We desintalled Robohelp and installed it again.Nothing works. Anyone had this problem and was able to fix it ? Thanks.

RH10I've been using the Skinny on Skins (aka the bible) to customize a skin, but found something I want to change that isn't listed.I changed the font of the main toolbar to be bold, but that includes the "- Search -" in the search input toolbar. I found instructions to change what the text is, but I'd like to change its appearance, e.g. to grey italics, so it's not as dominant.Is this possible?

Hello,Several weeks ago I was given a new laptop with Windows 10.  I reinstalled all of my Adobe products including RoboHelp 2017 (13.0.1.27)and Captivate 9.We use RoboServer 9. Last week I uploaded a new SWF Captivate file to RoboHelp and then attempted to publish.  Repeatedly I get a  Runtime Error Program:...es(x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 2017\RoboHTML\RoboHTML.exe  abnormal program termination.  RoboHelp immediately crashes once I acknowledge the Runtime error.I removed the newly uploaded SWF file and attempted to re-publish but it still fails.  I always check to see how far into publishing it gets before it fails and it will randomly fail on another SWF file or a PDF - all files which have previously published for over a year.I've tried deleting my .cpd file.I've uninstalled RoboHelp and Captivate and reinstalled.Needless to say I have had many reboots since.I have tried publishing other projects and the results are hit and miss.  One time they wil

We use RoboHelp 2015 to write and publish the content for four different user guides. There are over 1,000 images in use across the project. Each image is included as a shared resource (FrameMaker and RoboHelp share images across projects), and within the RoboHelp projects, we use RoboHelp's tools to resize each image individually, i.e. the Size button in the Image dialog box. For an upcoming release, we plan to change the size of all our images, which would cause RH to stretch or squish the images once it updates. We'd like to remove RH's individual image resizing and bulk resize all the images to a uniform scale. Is there a way to remove RH's individual scaling across topics? Is there an Adobe (or other) plugin that can bulk resize images to a specific dimension? Thanks!

Using RoboHelp 2017, can I completely remove the Search functionality in the responsive HTML5 output? I cannot see a way of doing this in the GUI, but wondered if I have missed a setting. Perhaps someone could suggest another way to to this. Another quite unusual question please: I have removed the TOC from the output, but the left-hand pane, in which it was displayed, is still shown in the output. Please could you advise how this pane could be hidden please?Thanks very much

Rick, is there a way to remove the search feature entirely from the HTML5 Responsive output? I have a wee little project that contains release content topics that pop up as the app is opened - nothing to search on, really, so I want to boot the whole search function off the output pages. Can't find where to do it...

I'm testing a nearly finished help module, and I'm seeing image file names when I using the search function. I've tried all the layouts. It happens in each. It isn't happening in other modules I've created using the same starter module, so I'm at a loss. 

Using RH 11.4.0.291Exporting HTML5Using Internet Explorer 11I've been asked by our Design team to replace the PNG logo I've been using in the Topic.slp file for some SVG code they've given me - basically, they've designed the logo in Illustrator, and exported it as SVG, and given me the inline code to use.The resulting output works fine in Chrome, but when we test the site in IE, no content will appear in the topic frame. The logo appears okay - but somehow the SVG code is affecting the topic frame, and it just remains blank. I do have examples of SVG images in other topics, and they display just fine, otherwise. It's only when I try to use that code in the topic.slp file, that there's an issue. Furthermore, when we click through the Table of Contents (which appears to display okay), it'll refresh itself, as if we've started again. Sometimes I do see the topic content flash into the entire IE window, but within a fraction of a second it has disappeared.I've tried exporting my own SVG c
