Hi,I am using RoboHelp 2015. My company is looking if we can create a ToolTip and link it with RoboHelp output file. So when a user clicks on Question Mark sign a ToolTip will open which describes the function in 2 lines and will also have a link for detail description which has to be RoboHelp.Thanks,Atinder Sodhi

Hi. I have upgraded a RH8 project to RH2015. After fixing all issues from the upgrade, the project compiled correctly.However just recently, i noticed that the Master page i use is missing from the Output Setup window. The project compiles correctly but i can no longer edit the Master page (for footer date changes) in RH. The workaround is to open the .htt file in Notepad and edit there. I can't Import the Master page, RH says the file is already in use. So i am stuck with the workaround.Another recent bug in RH caused CHM files to double in size. After much angst, i found that compiling to a folder far, far away fixed the situation.These random bugs are quite annoying, especially when i can't figuring out what is going wrong.Cheers,Sue from Hobart

Using RH 2015, I am trying to edit the CSS sheet for an HTML5 screen layout. I don't know what I did, but before I did "it", the .css file in Output Setup had a Notepad-like icon and I was able to open it in the usual dialogue box. The layout elements looked like this:Then after the unknown event, most of the objects' icons turned into the baggage file icon, including the one for the css:Worse yet, when I double-click the file now, it tries to open SharePoint Designer. I captured the first image in this post from a separate project after I found this problem, so this is not a RoboHelp-wide problem. How do I fix it?

I recently noticed that my HTML5 output wasn't working on iPhone, iPad, and macOS Safari.First I thought something was wrong with my own scripts, but after some digging, I found that it's a bug in the native RH JS files.That means that none of your HTML5 RoboHelp projects will work properly on current iPhones, iPads, and Macs (= devices running iOS 10 or macOS Sierra).This is a major bug that should be addressed as soon as possible. The bug has already been filed by Alexandra Duffy one month ago, but it is still "Unverified": Bug#4192629 - Safari 10 update has caused HTML5 Help from RH to stop working​.Luckily enough, Edward Doris has already posted a bugfix in the above bug report. It seems to solve the problem on all devices. However, implementing the bugfix requires advanced JS knowledge.Please provide an official bugfix as soon as possible.

I just applied the 2015.0.4 update to Robohelp 2015 and I generated my project to test the content filtering... I'm finding that the filtering seems to work fine in topics, but in the Table of Contents it's not working anymore. To be fair, I can't say with certainty that this is an effect of the update, but this was working before in the recent past, and now I find that it is not, so it may or may not be related.Anyone else have any trouble with this?I'll give an example to show how mine is failing:TOC and Topic with tagging:Here it is in the Responsive HTML5 output with a filter applied:Three of those TOC items should be filtered out to only show Windows Server 2008 topics.I found this while trying to test some other new tags and filters, and came back to these that I knew were working before.

Hi,I don't have any source files. I just have the WebHelp folder only. This link Reverse Engineering  did not do much help as i have more than 200 files or topics.And each file has hyperlink and cross-references which are not working.My actual concern is the webhelp that I have is not compatible to IE edge. I found a .js but for that i need to generate the output again. For that I need to open my project file.I saw a good way to open a .chm file in RH and edit it.Can someone please help me out.

Hi All,Today I saw that in my output of HTML5 Help, the filter icon is displayed in the navigation bar, even though I'm not using filters. Previously, this icon wasn't displayed; as far as I can see, it shall be hidden if not used. I know that the filter icon is displayed, if I run into a "too many recursions" error with my merged project (this happens, if my Index gets too large), but then, the index isn't working and the search doesn't stop trying to load. Now, the output is working, even though the filter icon is displayed.As of today (or maybe a couple of days before), the filter icon (empty) is even displayed in the output of a single project, i.e. not large, not merged, nothing the like. Everything still worked fine on October 5th; no filter icon displayed in the merged project. Since then I haven't changed my output settings or anything; just a few minor spelling corrections and index shortenings.The icon is displayed in Google Chrome, Firefox, and IE 11.Does anyone know if ther

Hi, all.I need to download HTML Help project files from a slow server through a slow network connection.Unfortunately, the directory on the server contains every discarded working file, every source file, etc., etc. -- dozens if not hundreds of unnecessary files.There used to be a way to package just the working project files for a help project -- but waas it maybe ForeHelp that provided such a handy feature?Anyway, I need to do this now with RoboHelp 11 so I can download just the files needed for my project.How do I do this?Thanks!

Hi, I have some folders in Project Manager that contain several topics that are not in the Table of Contents, and have been hidden from searching. The topics are therefore not included in the generated output. However an empty folder is created in the output. Is it possible to hide this folder from the output as well? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hoping someone has ran into a similar issue, but afraid this may be too specific to my situation.I generated a project to Responive HTML 5 output and need to move the files onto a server so that the project can be linked to my company's website. But, I can't copy over the template and scripts (whxdata) folders. I can move everything else except these folders and each time I try it, I get an error message that says I need permission to move the folder. I have Admin rights to the server I'm copying to, so I don't know why it's restricting me.Is there a way around this or to fix this? Thank you for any advice/help you can provide.

I have renamed a folder in Project Manager in RoboHelp 11. A folder with the new name has been created, but the original folder still exists in Project Manager but not on disk. It contains a sub folder with an "h" icon, which I suspect is why I cannot delete it. The project is one of three child projects in a parent/child environment. Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry, but can't find an answer to this.How do I change the background colour of the "Filter Keywords" text box in the Index for desktop-view when using HTML5? It's always black....and I mean instead of manually modifying the main.css file from the template folder.

Hi, all. I'm using RH 11 in a Win 7 environment.My project has two TOCs, one huge and one small. I want to generate a PDF for the small one.In the Project Manager, I selected the smaller TOC and designated it the Defaul. Still, when I select Generate/PDF Output, I get a PDF for the immense TOC.What am I missing?Thanks.

RH11, Windows 7 EnterpriseProblem: Deployed webhelp toc has duplicate and deleted pages.Background: Our development team pushes Help from our Atlassian bitbucket server to QA test, user test acceptance (uat), and production release, to add it to our product. Same Help file and product for over a year. Found after production. I see it was also in uat, but we missed it.  We're in the next QA test cycle now, and the issue isn't seen, but I need to make sure it's fixed.Image: Contents pages under Students Module were duplicated under Groups Module, and the Groups Module pages were gone.  Where issue was/is not seen:Does not appear in today's QA test deployment.Did not appear in a previous standalone webhelp published to an internal server. Did not appear within my project. Files are fine, output is good.Here's some things that occur to me, but I don't know how to check them:Some developers are new. Hi,I have a project in RH 11, i.e. 11.0.4.291, and I generated a Responsive HTML5 output.Inside the Responsive HTML5 output, when I search a word, I am given also the htm files names where that word is appearing, and not the topic names.This does not look so "nice" as it would if the results would be just the topic names.Is there a switch or setting that would enable my search to return only the topic name, w/o the htm file reference?Thank you

I'm using RH2015 and trying sharing whole topics (instead of just snippets) across projects using Resource Manager. However, I'm finding that this happens:1. Drag topicA in Folder1 in Project1 to Folder1 in Resource Manager . TopicA uses onlinehelp.css in the project root folder.2. Drag topicA to Folder1 in Project 2 from Resource Manager. TopicA in this project points to onlinehelp.css in Folder1, rather than maintaining the link to onlinehelp.css in the project root folder (that file does exist in project 2).As a result, I end up with Project 1's fonts, colours, branding in Project 2, which is not ideal. I'm guessing as a workaround I could apply a master page to all files in the output or something like that when I generate the CHM file, but it seems kinda messy while i'm working on files, and confusing to end up with so many CSS files. Hoping this is something I'm doing wrong!

Hi All, I wanted to touch base with the Adobe RoboHelp 15 community to ask if any of you are aware of the following issue when generating Responsive HTML5 Help output.  I recently upgraded to RoboHelp 15 (12.0.4.454) and just recent noticed that Search Options is appearing in all help topics in the Help system. Please see the two screens below:If I then perform a search and return back to a topic the Search Options do go away from each help topic.  However, the  Search Options return when I refresh the Help system.  Please see the three screens below.Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can resolve this Help output issue. We have a release in a couple of weeks I need to be able to generate a clean version of the Help system using RoboHelp 15.Thanks in advance for the support and assistance.Regards,Kurt Kroeber

Hi,I generated a Responsive HTML5 help, and after I put it online, when I tried to look for a word, I got only 2 results, whereas when I searched the same word in the Word document generated from the same project there were many more.I activated the search options to look also for substrings, and I got 3 results.Is there anything else I should do in order to have this functionality work properly?I am using RH11 in an Win7 environment.Thank you

I am using RoboHelp 7 (for Word), producing WinHelp output.In many situations, the Navigation Pane appears blank in the browser.Here are a few situations:Internet Explorer 11:  - Open file on local c drive with URL        file://localhost/B:/MoT/CIS/Doc/Help/RoboHelpProject/!SSL!/WebHelp/helpfile.htm     - I get message:       "Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from runing scripts or ActiveX controls"       but the navigation pane appears and works fine.            - If I click the "Allow blocked content" button, the navigation pane goes blank!       - Open a web url http:// ...     - the navigation pane is blank.       - adding the site to the "Trusted Sites" does not help.     If I open the web url in Chrome or Opera, I get t

I have created a dynamic filter in a Responsive HTML5 layout. The filter seems to be working but not as expected. When I select a filter, the affected topics do not appear in the search (as expected) but they are still listed in the TOC (not as expected). And when you click the filtered topics in the TOC they are blank. My understanding was that the topics were supposed to be removed from the TOC as well as the search? When I conditionally tagged the topics I tagged them both at the TOC level and the Topic level.What am I doing wrong?

We are currently trying to get higher google rankings to bring more customers to our site (as I'm sure all web developers want). We've generated a user guide using the responsive HTML5 output. After checking our Google analytics the site crawlers are not indexing the pages at all. We have nearly 300 topics and only the main index.html page is being indexed. We have tried generating the sitemap.xml using the option within the responsive HTML5 settings and then uploaded the file to google site maps but it still skipped over all of the topics. Google won't craw the frames and therefore won't index the site. We've even tried updating the generated sitemap.xml by using the direct path to the article (i.e. https://www.qoppa.com/files/pdfstudio/guide/Articles/Annotating_and_Commenting_PDFs/Annotating_and_Commenting_PDFs.html ) instead of the one using the index page with a variable and still no luck.
