I've created a RoboHelp2015 project but when I publish it on our Web Server it opens in MS Word.

I just installed RH2015 yesterday. I generated my CHM file and it is displaying with a Glossary and Bread crumbs. I didn't have either of these before and don't want them. I'm attaching some screen shots.First is my CHM from RH10, prior to upgrading to RH2015.Next is what my CHM looks like now that I've upgraded to RH2015.Next is a shot of my Window settings and output settings. I do not have glossary or bread crumbs selected. Can anyone help me fix this?!!

Hi I hope this is the correct forum for my question.I am a technical writer for a software company .We need a comprehensive document review cycle to efficiently process our documentation.I need to be able to send my documents to a group of SMEs for review, comments and if possible suggested track changes.The process should be iterative until the required content is achieved. Is Collaborate the only solution and  if so  I am correct in assuming that each SME would need a copy of Collaborate to open my created documents and review as mentioned.Is this the case or are there other alternatives with RoboHelp to achieve the same result?Thanks Harvey

The options for Dockable, Close and Floating are greyed out every time I start a new project. Only Auto Hide and Tabbed Document is available. I need to make a couple Dockable and can't figure out what went wrong. They used to be available.

Have a question for those in the Robohelp world, currently we publish our online help to a responsive layout for a cloud based application. When a user access the online file from the application, online help opens in a new popup window/internet browser. However, for some mobile devices that may not allow popups, would online help display side by side inthese situations or how would they display.Also, we would like to embed online in the frame of the application, so online is contained within the application iteslef, not unlike modern online helps for mobile devices, if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.Gene Feldman

Hi,I opened my RH11 project in RH 2015, and everything looks good except for my nav bar. My icons have all moved, there is a double scroll bar and arrow buttons appear in the header. Also - did Adobe add scrollbars, because I didn't design this project with scrollbars in it. Is there a way to turn them off?Below are my before and after nav bars. (Don't worry about topic names, titles and content - I had to remove them before I posted this.) How can I fix this? I hesitate to do anything to the template without help as I might mess up the template.Thanks,PamBefore:After:I've just discovered another issue after I scrolled down to the bottom of the project - the placeholder text from the template appears. Hi Folks,I have successfully generated a .chm file but when I opened I found the search tab does not display results. Not sure if it's a defect or my own inexperience setting up the index links properly but if you could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. William Hazen

I have Robohelp 2015. Is there a way to create a custom button next to the print button in the azure blue layout? What is the easiest way to do it?

Using RoboHelp11. I did a search, here, and didn't see this covered.I'm having an issue with expending text used for glossary terms in a document working when preceded by a snippet containing drop-down text (Situation 2). Situation 1: If a snippet containing regular text precedes the glossary terms with expanding text, the terms expand without issue in compiled Help.Situation 2: If a snippet containing drop-down text precedes the glossary terms with expanding text, the terms do not expand in compiled Help.Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for this I'm missing?Thank you.

Are there any known issues with image maps and Internet Explorer 11? Specifically where there are correct image maps to text pop-ups, but I get inconsistent error message stating, "BSSCPopup" is undefined." When I view the topic with image maps in Chrome, the popup is accessible, but in IE11, it is not. 

Using FM 12 / RH 11 to generate .CHM help files.I would like to add a polling feature to each topic in the help file (Did this topic help? Yes/No Comments:). I have explored 3rd party tools (Polldaddy, Feedbackify!, Feedbacklite) that work with web-based help, but not with .CHM help.Is there a way to do this using RoboHelp? If you know how or have done it successfully, I would appreciate some help. Thank you.

I developed an online Help CHM file (context-sensitive) for integration in a desktop application. The Help doesn't open when you first click the "HELP" button in the application. When you click it a second time it opens as designed.Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm using RoboHelp 2015 to create Responsive HTML5 and printed documentation output. I am starting to investigate the use of context-sensitive Help. The RH documentation mentions a "Project Set-up Pod" but I see no such pod. I've had other issues with my RH2015 installation--specifically trying to generate printed documentation that resulted in several tech support calls. Perhaps this is either residue from that issue, or the pod is carefully hidden! Here's a screen capture of what's listed when I click Pods:Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks,Karen

I'm using RH2015I have a fairly long topic. About 3/4 of way down is a topic bookmark called "Sales Tax Calculation". If I click on the TOC entry in HTML 5 online help, it takes me to that location in the page.If I create an index entry, it takes me to the start of the page and user has to scroll way down. If I select Cross reference and select the bookmark (not sure if this is the right hing to do). the index entry disappears when i regenerateso how do I get the index to take the user to a specific location in the page/topic?TIA Mark

In the RH 2015 responsive layouts, is it possible to change the tool tip text that appears over the TOC, Index and Filter buttons? I'm guessing this could be buried somewhere in a .js file, but not sure where.

I had multiple images open in RoboHelp Screen Capture. I repeatedly clicked the small X at the top right to close each one, but I seem to have gone to far. The last time I clicked the X, my menu bar disappeared from the top of the screen. The icons are still there, but I no longer see the text. That is, File, Edit, etc.I cannot figure out how to get the menu bar back!I've gone to customize and reset all my options, I've closed and reopened Screen Capture, I've right-clicked where the menu bar should be--but nothing.Does anyone know how to restore the menu bar?Thanks for your help.

Is Robohelp 2015 compatible with Word 2016? I just upgraded to the new version of Office. When I try to link a Word Document, I get an error "Microsoft Word is not Installed No Word Documents can be linked"

I have a problem with page width.  almost all of the devices that access my website can see my pages as I imagine, but if the width of the device is too large, then the text is wraped into a small column to the left.   at http://www.laclassical.com

Yesterday my company upgraded my work computer to Windows 10. I have Robohelp 10Today I attempted to generate printed documentation and received an error message.After searching the forums, I saw the thread on Office 2013 and Robohelp 10, and decided to downgrade back to Word 2010. I uninstalled Office 2013 and reinstalled Office 2010. I currently only have Word 2010Now when attempting to generate printed documentation, I receive the following error message:After clicking OK, Robohelp crashes. This occurs in multiple projects.If I right-click on Printed Documentation and select properties:When attempting to generate a pdf, doc, or docx, I receive the following error message:Any other suggestions?I checked the version features for Robohelp 2015 and saw that it only supports Windows 8.1 so I am pretty sure upgrading my software is no guarantee of anything.

RoboHelp 11I'm trying to use our company logo and another image (as background) that should repeat across the header. The logo should display on the left with the 'background' image tiled across the page. I'm assuming the logo should 'sit' on top.I've looked at ww3 and found this exampleSet a background-image for the <body> element: body {     background-image: url('paper.gif');     background-color: #cccccc; } Also there's the background-repeat property. Based on the descriptions, it sounds like this is an approach that should work. But I don't know how or where to use the information. Do I need to edit the master page header placeholder or the project CSS or both? Or is there a better/preferred way?

Robohelp 11Some links that worked yesterday switched to the complete path name and are broken today because they're outside the project. For example: <a href="ma_stu_roster.htm"> became <a href="git/helpfile/projectname/ma_stu_roster.htm". Yesterday I did a find/replace for a word, which would change text on the HTML tab. However, if this is the problem, there should be many more broken links, as the replaced word was common. I know there can be a problem editing the HTML tab directly. What's happening and how can it be done to avoid breaks?  Thank you

After updating to 11.0.4.291, I compiled our Responsive HTML5 primary layout with no errors. I selected the 'view results' option which appears normal until any docs are selected, they all generate a 'file not found' message. I checked the file path and the hml files are there and appear fine. Any ideas on what is going wrong and how to resolve??

My current RoboHelp 11 project has a number of links from one topic to another. When clicking the Back button in the browser to get back to the original page, it closes all dropdowns, etc. that may have been open prior to clicking the link. Lately, I've been asked by users if there is any way to return to the position you were in before clicking the link. I've been searching, but have not been able to find any way to do this. Is this possible and, if so, is there a fairly easy way to achieve this?Thanks so much.

Applying both topic-level and content-level tags to a topic doesn't seem to work in RH 2015 HTML5 output.Example: I have four conditional tags: A, B, C, and D. I apply tags A and B as topic-level tags to the topic. Also, the topic contains content that should only be displayed when A is selected in the filter pane, and other content that should only be displayed when B is selected (= content-level tags).Now the topic-level tags work - the topic won't be displayed when C or D are selected. But the content-level tags are completely ignored, and all content is shown.I guess the reason behind this is that nested dynamic content is not possible at the moment, as I have pointed out before (Dynamic content in tables / nested dynamic content).Is that something that will be addressed in future versions?
