Hi,I've used a customized whthost.js file for a couple years now with no issues.  Lately, it seems that clicking on a TOC entry does NOT expand it.  Clicking once on a topic in the TOC will display the content in the reading pane, clicking twice on it will (sometimes) expand the TOC.  Subsequent selections in the TOC seem to sporadically expand the TOC entries and then not expand the TOC entries.  I can't figure out why it's not working consistently & correctly.I've customized whthost.js using William's awesomely helpful information here:  Make WebHelp TOC Wrap | WvanWeelden.eu‌, including wrapping the TOC around the images.For fun, I've reapplied the customizations in a newly generated whthost.js thinking there's been an extra space or something in my customized file that I've overlooked and is now causing a problem. No luck.  This happens whether I'm viewing the docs in Chrome or IE, locally.  It doesn't discriminate I've also customized  t

When a topic in a child project of a merged Help project is called from the application, the complete, merged, TOC is not shown. Peter Grainge explains how to get round this problem on his site by editing each topic. My question: is it possible to add a button on the toolbar of a custom skin which would display the merged TOC? I have gone into the WebHelp Skin Editor, and can see that you can add a link or JavaScript  in the Action tab, and was wondering if anyone has done this successfully. Hi,I'm trying to create a text box with a trigger that opens a second text box. If I use a regular (in line) text box, when the trigger is placed in the text, the text becomes invisible in the output, so the user sees an empty box. A click where the text should appear still opens the second box, but without the effect I assigned it (fade in).If I use a positioned text box, the text appears if I use one trigger, but not if I use two triggers (1st trigger activation fades in, 2nd trigger activation fades out). And the effect still doesn't work.How can I get around this problem?

In the Responsive HTML5 layout settings (RH 2015), go to "Basic settings" and set the default pane to "filter".With this setting, there is no way for the user to access either TOC, Index or Glossary in mobile view ("Phone"). The "sandwich" icon (yes, this one http://bit.ly/1S3q9If) in the upper left opens the filter pane (= the default pane). Next to the sandwich icon, there's the search icon and (again) the filter icon, but no TOC/Idx/Glo icons.Please fix this. I think the easiest solution would be to implement two options: Default pane (Desktop) and Default pane (Mobile). One sets the default pane for desktop display, the other one sets the behaviour of the "sandwich" icon.

This has been a question ever since RH switched to the multi-doc interface, but I have just worked around it up until now.I am looking for a specific string and then I need to edit each file where it occurs. A simple replace won't do.After using Find & Replace in Files I get a list of topic titles in the Find Results dialog. If I r-click on a filename and choose Edit or or double-click a result in the list I get a window that only lets me Replace, Replace All, Undo, Next File or Save.How can I open a file from Find Results in RH Editor? Or even any editor? The window it opens in is not an editor.As of now I put Find Results on the left, Topic List on the right (sorted by filename) and manually open and edit each file from the Topic List. This is painful and slow.Has this gotten any better in 2015? I can't upgrade this particular project but would be good to know for future reference.Thanks!Jeanne

Hi, everyone.I am using a font named UniSans Regular in HTML Help pages and it works fine on computers having the font installed in Windows.Is there a way to embed the font in the chm file so that it would not be necessary to install the font to other computers? I am able to see my CHM file perfectly, but when I open it elsewhere I may see it displayed in Arial, Verdana and many other font styles... It looks awkward. Thanks in advance!

HiI am a new user of RH (version 2015), so I think I might be missing something.I am trying to generate a help system from an already existing set of User Guides created in MS Word. The topics are multi-level and the document is styled appropriately.When I'm linking a document to the project, the style-based pagination and TOC generation works fine except for one thing: I get all the topics and subtopics on level 1, without grouping them into books, and of course if I make any changes manually they all get lost if I need to generate the TOC again.I could stop the pagination at a higher level (e.g., H2 instead of H3), but some of the topics have a great number of subtopics, which themselves can be rather long, so I would like to have them as separate pages and not just a single page with anchors.Is there a way to make RH generate the multi-level TOC from the linked document or is my only option to import the documents and adjust everything manually?Any help would be much appreciated.Tha

RH 2015 -Prior to this version (since 2005), I've always been able to right click on a hyperlink in Word, select Copy Hyperlink and paste the link in RH. I can no longer get this to work. I have tried copying the link to a text file, saving the text file and then attempting to paste.  -- Thanks.

I am working on a large RoboHelp project. When I generated and posted Webhelp today, many images do not display. Up to this point, when I generated and posted webhelp, everything has worked correctly. Now, Instead I see a gray X when I click on an image. I'm using the DHTML dropdown so users can choose whether to see images. I've compared the html for Images that are displaying and images that aren't: the html looks identical both with those that are functioning and those that aren't. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this problem? I'd appreciate any advice!

The Adobe Store allows me to select RH 10 to upgrade from RoboHelp 10 only. Please let me know if I cannot purchase the Adobe RoboHelp Office 11 - Upgrade at all.

Hi all,I have a webhelp project with multiple books and do have browse sequences.  The Previous Topic and Next Topic buttons seem to only work with a single book.  Is that how it's supposed to work?  And if so, is there a way to make it work for the entire TOC through all the books?  Using RH 2011.Thanks for any help.  Diane

Everytime I generate a new HTML5 Responsive help build the application creates these log/text files. The developer who integrates the help asked me what their purpose is. They list all of the components/assets in the build. Is there a way prevent their generation. It isn't a big deal, they are just annoying and I wonder if they are serving a purpose. Let me know if this question belongs in a different section of the forum.

I am using a Responsive Layout (azure) and have a number of hyperlinks as auto-sizing popups.When viewed in IE the pop-ups display correctly:But when viewed in Chrome, it places scrollbars when it shouldn't and if it needs a scrollbar you cannot move it, it just closes the popup

I want to create a new project in RoboHelp 2015 after having already created a previous project; is there a way to export the settings in the previous project and then import them into the new project?Thanx,Bill

RoboHelp 2015Windows 7I have an older web help system last produced with RoboHelp v11. I made a copy of the folder that contained it, renamed the top folder, and opened it in RoboHelp 2015. Responsive HTML5 was not an output option, so I added it via the Create Output button. I then generated the RHTML5 help system and saved the content. There were a few expected issues with the layout, but RoboHelp 2015 hangs and does not save the additional output type.When I restarted RH2015 and tried to reopen the Help file, I first had to delete the .cpd file.I can edit the topics and make layout changes, but if I try to delete an output type I have no need for or add RHTML5 to the list, it hangs. I can add RHTML5 and generate before it hangs. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?I would like to pull this older Help system into RH2015 and convert it to the look and feel of a RHTML5 Help system I created from scratch. The original system was created at least 5-6 years ago. I'm not sure what

When you right-click the Skins folder, and select Import from the Web, you go to https://creative.adobe.com/addons. Once there, you can type "Robohelp" or "skins" in the search field, and nothing comes up. Not too much luck on Google either.What did Adobe do with downloadable skins? I'm looking for webhelp non-animated skins, if that helps.Thanks!

Hi all,I work on a team of six using RH9 and VS'12 as our source save. It seems to be only my account that has the following problem, so I wonder if it isn't some setting in my instance of RH or VS:I make changes to a RH topic, both text and image changes, or to a shared file, like the Glossary, and then save/check-in. When another user accesses it, they perform a 'Get Latest' and unbeknownst to us all, my changes don't appear for that user and other users. When I open the topic, the changes show for me in both RH and VS. The other user goes back in, does another 'Get Latest', but still does not see my changes.It only happens periodically; not every time I make a change (so perhaps it is something I am doing?). Our workaround has been to have someone else copy/paste the image file, make the change for me, etc. But, as you can imagine, this is time consuming, frustrating, and dangerous; we can only fix what we happen to catch!Any help is much appreciated.

Hi All:I have long ago given up single sourcing from FM into RH and am now generating my guide directly from RH.  I've started tinkering with the track changes, which is fairly handy in that it does not spray the content with formatting change indicators.  However, I can't seem to get the printed output to have the changed text look differently than the normal text. I *can* if I use ctrl-P and print to PDF within a topic or if I use the Review menu's Create PDF for Review. Then the changed text has the color/pattern to indicate that something is different.   I would rather *not* use the Review menu option since I need to tinker with it in Word first.  I can export it to Word from the PDF, but all the styling is garbled.  Has anyone found a way to get the track changes style to appear in Word output? ie: single source printed output with Track Changes indicated? I linked a FrameMaker book to a project in RoboHelp and auto-created a TOC, which looks OK in RoboHelpThen I right click on WebHelp (Primary Layout) and generate with the default skin and default TOC.However, then there's no Contents in my output:Also, only the first page "Introduction" is there, none of the rest.FrameMaker 11, RoboHelp 10, Technical Communication Suite 3Any suggestions?Thanks,Laura

Now I've moved on to Team foundation server 2013.Is it possible to integrate Robohelp projects with TFS 2013?
