I am generating an html user manual using Robohelp. Now, we are trying to generate localized versions of the same manual. We sent my original files to the translation agency and received localized versions of the html pages. However, the agency did not generate the entire help file. In order to generate a localized help with localized skins, index, TOC etc, I generated a copy of my entire user manual folder and have replaced my original html files and associated images generated by Robohelp with the localized files and images. The names of the files remain the same in all languages. For the most part, this strategy worked when I opened up the project in Robohelp. In the designer view, I am able to view and edit the localized files. I did have a number of issues that I was able to resolve by directly editing the files. I have changed the project and topic settings to the language of interest and have been able to generate a localized skin, TOC, index etc. The only issue is that some of

So our marketing department really wants to customize the skin of the new webhelp to match our new product design and color scheme... some of the skins in the gallery are close, but not close enough.  I know how to change the icons and buttons, etc.  But theyw ant to be able to change the "bars" or "sections that appear as background to the icons and buttons.  I cannot find any way to change those.  I don't see anything in the help for RH 10 except how to change icons, buttons, etc... but nothing about changing the background.I have attached a screen cap of one of the skins to show the area to which I'm referring that needs to be changed.Thanks,kb

I have created an Image Map which includes hyperlinks to display in frame and also in auto-sizing popups.  These links work correctly if the topic is opened from the table of contents but if the topic is opened from a link within another topic the image map links don't work: when the display in frame link is clicked no message is displayed and the topic closes;  when the popup link is clicked the following Script Error is displayed:    The helpfile was created in an earlier version of Robohelp, version 7 I think, and I have now upgraded to Robohelp 11.  In the previous version the popup links in the image map also did not work but the display in frame links did.  I’ve tried creating a new helpfile using Robohelp 11 and both links work correctly.  I read a previous post about ‘popups not auto-sizing’ and wondered if the following fix would resolve my issue but it didn’t have any effect:    After investigation we found out that the issue was w

My developers want to know if Bootstrap (http://getbootstrap.com/css/) was used in the development of the Responsive HTML5 layout. The answer may determine whether we upgrade to version 11. Does anyone know?

I have been using RoboHelp - currently RoboHelp 11 - for many years now. For some unknown reason, suddenly now my CHM files are displaying NOT according to my CSS stylesheet, which has not changed recently.  Fonts and styles are completely different than CSS specifications, and my images are not getting pulled into the CHM output (just showing placeholders).  I checked the stylesheet, and it still has the same font as we've had, which is Arial - the CHM is showing Times New Roman..I am running Windows 7 Professional, by the way, with my RoboHelp 11..Also the CHM is showing up correctly for the other users here.  SO I'm suspecting there's something corrupted in my environment locally, my local install.  Could it be the HH.EXE that's corrupt?  Which source file should I look for, and I'm assuming it's within my Adobe > RoboHelp directory.I would appreciate any help for where I should look and ideas about what I should do.Also, note that my WebHelp output is fi

Hello members,Any help will be much appreciated.Platform: Win 7, RH 11, Word 2013 however, using an existing Word Template that was created in Word 2007.HISTORY: Six months ago, an upgrade of RH8 to RH11 took place (smooth, no issues reported). Please note, I have no "easy" way to verify if there was a problem in RH8 (all projects are upgraded, and old builds are backed up on IT server). There are existing Styles created in RH and in the Word Template (e.g., Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Normal, normal_bold, etc.). These existing Styles have no mapping issues hence, RH CSS recognizes their corresponding Word Styles.ISSUE: RH11 CSS does not recognize New RH Styles and Word Styles. I'm attempting (failing) to publish my Help project to an assigned virtual directory: "publicaccessnow.com" with user id "taxhelp" and a verified password. I've attempted a few field variations based on some previous suggestions in this community thread, all with no success. I opened the Edit Destination window in RH 10 and completed the following fields: Descriptive Name = "publicaccessnow.com"  Connection Protocol = "FTP"  Host Name = "http://publicaccessnow.com"  Port = "21"  User ID = "taxhelp"  Password = [password]  Server Directory = "/taxhelp"  I also tried leaving the server directory blank and entering "2021" in the Port field. I'm using RH11, and my management wants a Knowledge Base that allows our clients to add to it.  When I opened the Knowledge Base template, I didn't see much that was different from a regular help file.  The RH11 manual mentions this template twice with no instructions.Where can I find more information on how to use the Knowledge Base template as a wiki, as promised in the manual?Thank you!

I previously purchased RoboHelp 9, and this covered me for the updates to 9.1 and 9.2. If I upgrade to RoboHelp 11 directly, will that 600$ cover any potential 11.1 or 11.2 updates?

Hello All,I have some questions about the search result page in Responsive HTML5 layout.If you do search in responsive html5 layout you get the topic title as a clickable link. And underneath that you get the htm path to that topic. The next line then is the first line from the topic.Does somebody know how to change this so that I don't thet the htm path in my search results. After the first clickable link I would like to get either just the first line, or if this is possible at all, the first two lines.Also does somebody know where you specify the default settings for the search options?We are using robohelp 11 if that might be important for this question.thank you in advancePeter

Is there a way to set for each document, a date and notification mechanism? We wanted to review policies for example every 12 months, and have a reminder sent to the owner at month 11 to trigger a review process (outside of RoboHelp).

Hello,We are attempting to OEM source documentation. Since the documentation has been OEMed on a previous version, we would ideally like to isolate the topics that have been modified since last version. However, within the source documentation, all of the individual files have the date modified as the date they we last generated (since they were all batch generated). Is there any way to locate information on when the individual topics we actually last modified (as opposed to just generated).Alternatively, is it possible to make the help files OEMable by loading some strings (such as company name and product names) from an external file?  For example, some xml or file may contain all of the products names, so that they can be easily changed in one place to create a different version of the help file for another company.Also, we are using RoboHelp HTML Version 11.Thanks,Adam

I am looking for a way to either: remove the 'Print' menu option in an AirHelp app... or if that is not possible, some way to point that menus options to print PDF or perhaps .doc versions of my content (as the quality of printing from AirHelp is atrocious at best)? Essentially I seek any way to improve upon my customers' experience when and if they migrate to that pesky print button.  Unfortunately however, I have yet to find anything. Is there a way to do one or both of these tasks, or if not... perhaps there is another way to improve the quality of printing from AirHelp (or remove the option entirely)?  Any advice would be most appreciated, thank you!

There are about 250 files listed in my Unused Files report.  1. Will removing them reduce the size of my output folders?2. Must I delete them one at a time from the Project Manager, or is there a faster way?- Shawn

RoboHelp HTML v.11I have a linked Word document in my project. The document includes text boxes and callouts for graphics. In many cases, the text in these boxes become bold (or at least heavier and darker) when they appear in the RH project. I've tried changing the style, font, and font size, but they still come out bold.Any ideas?

RoboHelp HTML 11I did a lot of experimenting this week inserting Captivate demos into my project. Today, while trying to determine why my output is over 1 GB in size, I looked in the !SSL!\Multiscreen_HTML5\desktop folder.  I see many, many copies of folders related to these videos. There's a set with one timestamp containing "Video Topic 1", "Video Topic 2", etc.; there are many similar sets with different timestamps. I should be able to delete all of these, right? Wont' anything that's still needed will be recreated when I Generate a new output?Also, does anyone know why all these duplicates appear?Thanks.-- Shawn

Very odd.I am working on converting Frame docs to help projects for our translated languages.  Started with German, worked as expected.  Moved on to the Australian version.  And the topic that should be "Using the Application" instead comes up as "Anwendungsgrundlagen" - the German version of the topic, and somehow the German version is in this project rather than AU.  I have checked and all is fine with the AU version of the book, it bring up the AU content.  I cannot tell where RoboHelp is getting the German information from, that is another project and this one should not know anything about it.It does look like the Framemaker Console is throwing out an error for "FV_FilterFailed" when trying to convert the file, but I can't find anything that tells me what that error really means.Anyone else ever have a similar issue?

How can I create a link from a CHM file to a webhelp file?The CHM output (accreditation.chm) is stored in a parent directory, and the webhelp output (index.htm) is stored in a child directory.

Some of you may recall me posting a few weeks ago that I inherited a mess that consists of CHM files instead of individual topics for csh.  Each link for CSH calls a full CHM file.  Now I am trying to pull them all into one project and set them up properly for use in our NEW product.So, I poked around the forums and saw in one place that there was an IMPORT PROJECT option - but that doesn't seem to exist in RH10.  The Merge Projects option doesn't seem to be what I need either at this point. I am simply trying to do a test to see what is involved with pulling in old htm topics to my new project with its own set of topics.  I saw on one of the forums that I could import a topic, but everything else would have to be manually moved over (like images, and other topic related files).  So, instead of importing the topic, I simply went to the folder of the old chm project and copied anything and everything that had the project name (in this case "Scheduler") in the fi

I am using RH 11 and generating to WebHelp.  My developers want the Release Notes to be one HTML file with the graphics embedded and not linked.  They are okay with having a cascading style sheet. How do I get my Release Notes set up so that the graphics are embedded and not linked, such that there is one HTML file and a cascading style sheet?Thanks!

Hello,I have a parent project, and within it we include several projects merged, but when I do the generation in HTML5 Responsive layout, merged projects do not appear in the TOC.I've tried all the ways in generation settings Responsive HTML5 layout but nothing works.This problem is causing severe complications, because I work out helps and customized knowledge bases, and for each one I need to include these projects merged so there is no rework, but for each environment I would have to create a whole structure that already exists.Does anyone know a way out of this problem?Thank you in advance.
