Hi people. I'm using Robohelp 10.0.1.292. When I generate WebHelp, the search facility does not work in the generataed system. It provides the single word 'null' in response to any search string I enter.I notice that, in the whxdata file that is generated, there are no package_x.xml files created.Do any of you have any ideas on what I can do to get RoboHelp working properly, please?
I have RH10 connecting to Team Foundation Server for source control. Unless I'm mistaken, I'm beginning to see and regret that the Get Latest Version dialogue in RH only applies to files that were in the project when first loaded to my PC. If the owner of a project adds files and saves them to TFS, how do I then get those files added to my local copy when I open the project myself? I don't even see a manual way to do this in RH, but ideally I want an automatic solution. So how do I:Set up TFS/RoboHelp to get all new files whenever a project is opened?Manually grab all new files within RH if that fails? The point is, I understand I can do this in Source Control Explorer but does RH have an equivalent?Thank you.
I recently had to temporarily use a newer version of the technical communications suite because of a computer crash, after which I had to go back to the older version -- the company I work at had a license to the older version.Because I was working on RoboHelp 11, I couldn't open my projects when I was back to RH 10. I used the instructions in this post: Downgrade a RoboHelp Project | WvanWeelden.eu, and was able to open the project and make some changes, but when I generate to WebHelp and try to preview locally, I get a blank page on my browser. The only thing I see is a border between the supposed TOC and content, however there is nothing there. I tried to delete the CPD file, and to empty the SSL > WebHelp folder and re-generate, and I wasn't successful.I wasn't encountering any problems with this project before the downgrade, so I suppose that is the cause, however I'm not sure what to do, and whether this means that the output won't display live as well as locally.
Just after initiating a publsh in FM12 to Webhelp I get an error window with MpjSingleSource in the Caption and an exclamation triangle in the body but nothing else. What is this error and how do I fix it? It looks as if there was a problem with RoboHelp 6 but nothing since. Clicking on the OK button stops the publishing process.
After compilation of chm help file, I can see my browse sequences, but the users do not, although I am working on a 32 bit station, the users on 64 bit.Note: I registered the HHActiveX.dll file as you explained in an older discussion.
Unordered list are a problem for me. How can I change the default bullet for all bulleted unordered lists in my projects made in RH 11?I can change them manually for each list again and again but there must be a way to change the default so I can simply use the button in the menu.I tried to make changes in the HTML editor for styles. Without succes.Where/how must I use List-style-image?Aart Korstjens
Does Robohelp 11 have the ability to add filters for the search function?
I'm single-sourcing FrameMaker 12 files to a RoboHelp 11 project (the issue existed in previous versions of the products). Numbered lists aren't transferring correctly from FrameMaker to RoboHelp: there is no space between the number and the content. For example:1.To use this product, click here.2.Click OK.I've attempted editing the Frame styles. The Frame style setup doesn't allow me to add extra spaces between the number and the content.I've attempted editing RoboHelp styles and .css sheets. I'm getting a variety of wonky results (like a number that permanently defaults to 0 or no number at all). Can you recommend any solutions?
This is a new topic branching off of http://forums.adobe.com/message/6088200#6088200(Cross-posted to FrameUsers, Adobe RoboHelp "FrameMaker Integration" forum, and RoboHelp bug report)What follows are some important limitations regarding FrameMaker books that are linked via TCS 4 to a Robohelp project to produce online Help output (HTML Help, WebHelp, etc.).After a fair amount of testing and research, it seems that RoboHelp is incompatible with *any* FM text insets or "referenced content" such as Excel spreadsheets. Plus, there may be a serious limitation with cross-references in general that might require you to alter the folder structure of your FM project. In several text insets in my FM book, I have cross-references to a topic outside of the inset. In FM, the links work and everything updates/generates with no errors. The links work in PDF. But in the HTML Help output from RoboHelp, some (but not all) of the cross references are broken--they look like links, but the cursor does not
I am using RH8 and I want to use RoboSource Control 3.1 to manage a project with two authors. One author will be working remotely. When a file is checked out, does the connection to the server need to be maintained or can it be worked on locally and then checked back in?
Hello.I am using RH10 and need to set up Source Control - it doesn't have to be RoboSource Control but the company I contract for is moving away from SharePoint so I can't use that. Any advice on this area will be gratefully received.I think I understand correctly that I need to ask a DB or Technical Support expert to set up an SQL database for me. That should hopefully prove to be straightforward. However, when I currently open the Connection List in RH10 (File > Version Control > Add To Version Control), I can only see a connection to SharePoint. There is no Create button to enable me to add a new link for when the new database is set up for me.Can anyone advise what I need to do to get this working as described in the RH10 Online Help? Thanks.Philip
Hi,We currently have a CSS in used, but in order to make our document sets across the company consistent we have a new CSS. The style names in the new CSS are different. Is there a way to map styles from one CSS to another CSS in RoboHelp?
Hi. Can RH server host JavaDocs, or can it only host WebHelp Pro/Flash Pro. I'd like to publish JavaDocs but use the authorization features built in to RS Server.Perhaps there's a utility for importing JavaDocs into a RH project, and from thence to a WebHelp Pro output?Thanks.-Kurt
Hi. Is anyone aware if RH Server is available (from Adobe and/or 3rd party) as a service? A quick google search didn't reveal any hits, so I thought I'd ask the group. Our IT people would be interested in having one less system to maintain.Thanks!-Kurt
Hello.I am using RH10 and want to connect to RoboHelp Server 9.However, when I open the Connection List (File > Version Control > Add To Version Control), I can only see a connection to SharePoint. There is no Create button to enable me to add a new link. Can anyone advise what I need to do to get this working as described in the RH10 Online Help? Thanks.Philip

Currently my company has two licenses for RoboHelp8 both are installed locally on PC's. We are attempting to install and use SourceControl so two people can work on the same project at the same time. Our IT guy downloaded a trial copy of RH8 without a serial number to play with to make sure the Source Control is working properly. He tried to open a project that was completed using RH8 and got this message. All instances are updated. Can anyone help me with this and suggest a method that will allow him to test the Source Control given our scenario above? Thank you in advance for your help.
During the efforts to solve a problem documented here:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/603888?tstart=0I removed ehlpdhtl.js as a baggage file from our projects. I had added it (years ago) to make sure it was included in the final output. We build our Help nightly with a script that makes use of the rhcl.exe command line feature. I've already filed an enhancement request that the rhcl.exe create ehlpdhmt.js if it doesn't exist. In the meantime, I'll have to have some code added to our build script to make sure it is copied into the projects..MW
RoboHelp10 - Generated chm file does not display see message: Navigation to the webpage was canceled. This happens when the chm file is generated to a server. If generated to a local drive, the help displays correctly. Can anyone tell me why and how to fiThe chm seems to looking for a web address
Hi. I'm wondering if a RH project can be made part of 2 or more project groups. I'm interested in having the content of a project appear in more than one "search domain" (RHS virtual Web site -- I've forgotten the term for this.)Thanks!-Kurt
A lot of topics were imported as Word documents and the search results and index results refer to Word documents that were imported en masse and with inconsistent naming conventions. For example, "1 - Order Title" was renamed "Underwriting after UDSA Approval is Received" in the TOC but when a person does a search or clicks the index keyword, the original file name is given.Thank you very much, one day I hope to start giving back to the community.Dave
Hi all. Is there a way to do a safe search and replace action, across an entire project, text that the user sees with a browser, and NOT any other text, like what occurs in file names, paths, style names, attributes, CSS, etc.My guess is that selecting the option Exclude HTML Tags would not be sufficient, and that a regular expression might be in order.Thx in advance.-Kurt
The pane on the left hand side of the screen is too narrow and must be enlarged manually. I would like for it to be wide enough when the page is displayed that all entries may be viewed.Thank you,Dave
I'm trying to import my own css into Robohelp so that we don't have to manually edit every single document we already have. I was told that the way to do it was to add the following to the <head> tag/paragraph. <style type="text/css" media="all">@import "OurOwn.css";</style> This assumes, of course, that our css file is called "OurOwn.css". The request is completely ignored and the generated code shows no signs of our css. If, however, I manually edit documents and add the following to the <head> paragraph: <link rel=StyleSheet href="..\OurOwn.css"> It works fine. Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks, and take care out there.
I am having an issue with RoboHelp finding one PDF file when we do a search with WebHelp Output. The original file was called Plagio_parent_hand_out.pdf. We also had it in as You_Can_Prevent_Baby_Flathead.pdfFlathead was the search term. The term was also inserted as a keyword in the file properties and the term was in the actual PDF content as well. We did a search and webhelp didn't find the PDF files. It found the file in the topic that I had a link in but it did not list the PDF in the search results. Then I decided to see if it would find the same file if it were a word ".docx" file. It found the file Plagio_parent_hand_out.docx but not the PDF.Then I renamed the file to Plagio-BabyFlathead PDF and brought it in to the project files. This time it found it.So why didn't it find the file all the times that we tested to find that one file. Not once did it find the file. I made sure that the baggage file was inside of RoboHelp project as well. Also tested the search using the multifuncti
