RoboHelp

Would greatly appreciate some help with this issue, I haven't been able to find anything online about it. I'm using  RoboHelp 11.02 (just upgraded from 11.01) on a 64 bit Windows 7 PC. I am using Robohelp 9. I have a file that I would change the name. When I generate the file, it is generated in the path where the file is saved, but want to change the name of file generation. When you open the help file, in the left corner of the window is shown the file name. I want to change that name too.

The TOC does not open in WebHelp Generated with RoboHelp 11. I tried other solutions posted on this forum but no success. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

HiI am using RH10, as part of TCS4. I am creating screen layouts by just modifying the existing ones.I noticed that there is no margin/ space between the topic border and the topic content in it. When I searched for that in mobile.css, I did not find any relevant reference. When I did a Inspect Element on Firefox, it pointed to default.css which I don't find in my Project Setup pod.How can I modify it? Using RoboHelp 11 (11.02.240), I created a WebHelp project which contains a Print button on the toolbar.When running the help in Google Chrome (Version 36.0.1985.143 m), the Print dialog box does not appear.In Firefox and IE everything works fine.

Hello,I am using a predefined skin in robohelp and need to add new navigation buttons. However, when I generate help, the styling for the selected button is not applied to the new buttons. Hello all,I'm updating a help project in Robohelp 10. This is an existing project i had in Robohelp 10/Framemaker 11. I am simply updating my Frame content and regenerating (the FM project is linked). My company recently upgraded my browser to Internet Explorer 10.0.9200.17028.I am noticing that some topics do not appear now (they are blank). This is a merged helpset (about 10 helpsets that are merged). I am running the helpset locally on my PC.I've tried applying the IE 10 patch for RH10 and regenerating but this did not help. I am using  RH10.0.1.292.Everything looks fine in Firefox.I am releasing this week and am not sure what else to try.Any ideas?Thanks in advance for any help.

Can you collapse a table or a portion of text within a topic?  If yes, how is this done?

I have added a Close button using Insert > HTML help Control > Close Window. It places the Close button in the topic. I generate the help, and when I view it, the Close button is no longer there. I am in RH 9 and working with FM 10 files in RH. Why does the Close button not display in my local help?

RH10 / Window 7 / PushOK SVNAfter ugrading from RH8 to RH10, we installed PushOK SVN and the TortoiseSVN Repository browser for our doc team as our source control system, after having used RoboSource Control 3.1 when we had RH8..  Whether in the office or working remotely via VPN, when we add a new topic it can take 1-3 minutes for the topic to actually be ready for input.Checking in edited topics when closing the project can also take a good deal of time.  I expected some of that for those of us using VPN remotely but for those in-house I didn't.  Our IT guys are at a loss.  They don't believe it's the network.Is this a common issue?   Is there a way around it?   Or is there something that comes into play that we are not even considering?   OR??Any help would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Joe Pollock

RoboHelp 10 - When I start a new blank project, I find two skins in the Skins folder: Beautiful Vista Flash and Default. Neither can be deleted. I have noticed that Beautiful Vista Flash appears in the Skins folder for each of the existing projects that I am working on. Is there any way to get rid of it or prevent Robohelp from loading it? Hi, I installed TCS 5 after installing a trial of RoboHelp 11.  After I installed, I opened a project from TCS 4 and I was able to update an existing linked FM book and Link to new files.    The FM files were converted ot FM 12 and the RoboHelp project was converted to RoboHelp 11.Now, when I reopen the RoboHelp project, I cannot update or link to FrameMaker documents.I am running Windows 7. I run both RH and FM as administrator and I have owner permissions to the Adobe folder.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling TCS 5 and the behavior is consistent.  Is there some registry entry or something i should look for?Lauren

Hi. Do any of you know if RoboHelp 11 supports any type of access rights to published HTML docs?My company has a basic product that all customers have access to. We also have "premium" products that are available to customers who pay for them, and at the moment we prefer not to expose the premium products' docs to customers who haven't purchased those products. What I'd like to be able to do is have some way that a customer can log in to access the basic HTML docs and, based on their login rights, have links to the premium docs be made visible and link to the HTML docs for those products.Note that for now, I'm OK with maintaining separate RH  projects for the basic doc set, and one for each premium doc set. Robohelp HTML 10 (10.0.0.287) - generating WebHelp output for a website - How do I import a CSS style sheet?I've inherited a Help project that does not have a CSS file in the Project Files folder.  Is there a way to import a CSS file into an existing Help project?

Robohelp 11 - I upgraded to 11 and now I'm noticing that RH11 has changed some text to italics that was not in italics before. I have a HUGE help system and can't check every file.

So I cant get a RH Responsive HTML5 project to play an MP4 on an ipad?  but works fine on a pc (tested 3 w/browsers).Outside the published project, the iPad plays Mp4's without any problems.But within a RH Responsive HTML5 project on the ipad, the MP4 shows up as a black square with a "crossed out" play button in the middle.on any pc the published RH project, plays fine.I've tried several different mp4's (h264) ,,, I've even multiple sizes of MP4s.Am I missing something?

I am generating Responsive HTML5 using RoboHelp 11. My FireFox version is 31.The video plays fine in IE and Chrome.

This might be a very basic question. I'm reviewing the html 5 output in Robohelp 11 and I noticed that the html 5 layout automatically adds a to the top arrow.I want to adjust that arrow/Div but how do I reach that?I don't seem to see it in the layout editor. And it only show up after generating a layout, and I don;t want to adjust all pages of our help manually.What we actually are trying to do is dynamically let it appear when you scroll down. and not on the screens where there is no scrolling.any ideas?thanks in advance for your answers

Since we upgraded to Tech Comm Suite 5, our RoboHelp projects are no longer linked (single-sourced) to their FrameMaker books. To correct this, we have to relink the projects and then go through the process of setting up the project all over again (mapIDs, table of contents, index, etc.) again, which is a very time consuming process prone to errors. Can anyone please help us avoid having to do this manual process for every single one of our many RoboHelp projects?Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi experts. I'd appreciate your thoughts on the RH feature "Create PDF for Review". I've come across a couple concerns...The instructions say that the source RH files shouldn't be edited/altered while a PDF document of the same material is out for review. This is understandable from a synchronizing perspective. But I'm wondering if any of you think it's a non-starter that the source material is locked. I often can't wait for people to return comments, even by a requested deadline, before making edits. This is my first foray into RH docs, and right now I'm more inclined to use cut-and-paste-in-emails to request and receive doc comments.For those of you who do use the feature, and use the shared PDF option, do you know of a service that will host the group-commentable PDFs? Adobe used to have a service for this, but it seems like it is no more. And our IT guy is super security conscious and is so far resistant to have a group-writable directory on one of our servers.Thanks in advance for

I have just updated to Technical Communication Suite 3 which includes RoboHelp HTML 9. I have installed all of the latest updates as of 6/20/2011. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS, 6GB RAM. Note that I still have RoboHelp HTML 7 installed on the machine.I can use all of the Technical Communication Suite applications (e.g., FrameMaker 10, PhotoShop CS5, etc) except RoboHelp 9.0. When I attempt to open any project (including the sample projects listed on the Starter screen, I receive the error:"Unable to open the file c:\users\myname\Document\My RoboHelp Projects\Adobe RoboHelp 9\myprojectfolder\myprojectname\$rhvariable$.htm. Out of memory starting the editor services."Please let me know if anyone has encountered this error and has resolved it.Thanks!Andrea

I am running RoboHelp 10. My Help output is HTML, generated from the WeHelp target. The output opens in IE 10. The issue has to do with breadcrumbs.When users launch Help from within the application, from a location that links to the Index.htm file, breadcrumbs display at the top of the window.But, when users launch Help from a location that links to Help using context IDs, the open window cuts off the breadcrumbs. Users need to scroll up to view them. If users do not know to scroll up, they cannot navigate to other topics within Help.How can I fix the output, so that users don't need to scroll up to view the breadcrumbs?

I am getting "Out of Memory" error message when I try to import and scan the Frame Maker file into Robo help.
