RoboHelp

Stakeholders would like to have certain links open in non-modal (modeless) popup windows so a user can follow information it contains while continuing to engage with the topic. The closest strategy I can see is to use the "New Window" option to open a new browser tab then require the user to drag it off the browser as a new window.  Is opening a modeless popup another thing that RoboHelp does not allow? 

I am using RoboHelp Version 2020.7.46.When I insert a Mini TOC it has numbers. I would like to either remove them or replace them with bullets.  

Hi Adobe Users,Looking for help w.r.t Merged project.I'm working on a Master Project that merges about 10+ child projects.Each child project has a "whats new" topic and a master whats new page in Master project. Looking for a solution to inter link child whats new topics in the Master project. How do i do it.!!

Hello.  I'm having an issue with RoboHelp 2020 and Classic Project Upgrade.  I've got multiple files that have worked OK with no issue, but this one file keeps giving me an error message.  I've deleted my file and recopied it from the server, as well as just recopying the problem child within that file, and still no luck.  I've had three coworkers, as well as my user support tech try to help me on this, and no luck.  The tech support guy told me to post my question here.  My coworkers all have older versions of RoboHelp.  This file is in a foreign language, so it's not like I can just delete that page and recreate it.  All other files have been exactly the same but in different languages, and still no issue.  Does anyone have any suggestions, because we're all stumped at this point.  Should I just try to get an older version of RoboHelp at this point?  Thanks in advance. 

HiI'm trying to intall Robohelp 2019 on a system with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit operating system core i5 processor. I have installed Internet Explrorer11 64 bit. I still get the below error message. "Your browser or operating system is no longer supported. You may need to install the latest updates to your operating system.   Learn more" Need help.

Forgive me, how do I remove the search engine on the top right in the header bar? I don't want to appear at all. I'm using RH2019 and azure_blue skin. Thank you so much.

Hi, I upgraded a RoboHelp Classic 2019 project to RoboHelp 2020. In RoboHelp 2020, I use 12 pt; but in Classic I used 10 pt. Sometimes, tables in my Frameless output are truncated. (1) If I change the font in RoboHelp 2020 to 10 pt, will that fix the issue? (2) If so, is there an easy way to change the font for just this one book (not all of them)? If so, how? (3) Or, must I go through each topic manually and change the font? Thanks for your help!

I'm currently on Robohelp 2020 (2020.0.156) and need to update to the lastest version. What is the most recent version? I followed this thread (https://community.adobe.com/t5/robohelp-discussions/how-to-upgrade-robohelp/td-p/11765263) to the Downloads page, but the newest update I see on that page is Summer 2020 Release.

Just today for some reason I have this problem where the sign-in dialog (which appears every day) appears but when I click sign in I get this:It doesn't work trying to access the app directly or when accessing via opening a file. My internet is connected, everything else is working (including sign in to Acrobat), my clock is set correctly, everyone else's is working correctly in the office.Has anyone ever seen this before or know why it's suddenly doing this today and have any way around it?I can log into my Adobe account on website and see my current subscriptions. I can't find any way to contact them directly about this urgently.

Hi,Noticed this strange behavior. I have a PDF output from RH source. The output, cover page, header, footer, conten, toc comes out perfect.Just that in the PDF output there is a border (box) to the content. Any idea why this would be happening?I tried setting the border in the master page as transperant, white, 0px but nothing works. Infact, while taking pdf output if I dont select any master page the boxed border still shows up in the pdf output.Any idea how to fix this?

I’m on RH 2020.5.71 and started using the Review tool with 4 people doing the reviewing. All the reviewers received the linked emails, and everything was going fine until I started getting the markup and comments back.Where the reviewers highlighted or made comments is not where I see it. It has jumped to a completely different line/area. A reviewer showed me on his screen how he highlighted a line and when he started to scroll down the highlighter line kept moving around. When he scrolled back up it highlighted the correct line. When I open the document in RoboHelp all highlighting, and comment markup is moved to the wrong line/area. So, I have no idea what needs to be updated!I'm including two images one is from the reviewer called RH_Reviewer and the other is the image I see as the author called RH_Author. As you can see in the RH_Author all the mark up is in the wrong places.Any ideas what is happening???

Hello, I'm trying to use Dynamic filters for RH 2019 Frameless output, but it doesn't apply on the output. Is there a way to show the filter or steps for how to do it? Thanks.

This problem just came up out of nowhere; Printed Documentation was working just fine last week (I'm using RoboHelp 2017), but today I tried to run PD for a project, and it just kept running ... and running ... and running ... for about 20 minutes, when it usually only takes about 3 or 4 min. I always generate a Word doc and a PDF with this process and have had no problems until now.I'd appreciate any help.Thank you,Lon

How will robohelp write its content to a new multi-tenant asp.net core web app that uses same multi-tenant authentication as main web app?

Hello!I’ve a problem with Word publish after the update 7 of RH2020.In update 6, I was exporting from RH using a Word template with the option to map styles from RH to Word. In the template I had modified the Heading 1 and 2 styles to get a multilevel numbered list, aligned to the right. Everything worked correctly, see the example image of the result.  Now, nothing has been touched and with the same option to map RH Style to Heading 1 and 2, the export is not correct, i get no number and a blue text color.If i then choose to “Use RH style”, the output numbering is correct but the styles from the template are being modified (no more number) and the alignments are wrong. In RH I can set up the left margin, for the text and for the numbering (in the h1:before section of the CSS) and I see changes on RH but they are not exported to the Word.On the other hand, for example the top and bottom margins are exported correctly, so I can’t understand what’s wrong.Thanks

I'm using RH2020.7.46. This is the problem: Warning:Failed to copy C:/users/<myname>/Desktop/<Project Name folder>/<Project Name>/contents/Enterprise. I am not seeing "Enterprise" when I look within the project or when I look using Windows Explorer. What does this mean?Thanks,Mary

What is the point of this Start Page?  How can one use it? The cryptic instructions are: "Start Page Specify the page name and extension (.htm or .html) that RoboHelp can use to generate the URL for the output. For example, specify index.html."I did that.  The only filename that does anything is index.htm.   

I'm wondering if there is a comprehensive manual on RoboHelp 2020 which covers the five essential elements of technical documentation: Concept, Reference, Task, Glossary, and Troubleshooting. I'd buy one. Adobe spends so much effort creating features then leaves cryptic crumbs behind on how they might be used or ignores them entirely. 

I'm in Robohelp 2020.6.76. Output Preset is frameless.I've created 2 condiiton expressions, superior and davis. I set up the dynamic filter content. both departments are in group: audience.  But, when I generate, click on filter, only department 1 displays. I have topics tagged for both departments.Why am I only getting superior in the listing: Thank you, Carmela 

Hi guys,Really strange situation just noticed by one of our users. Searching for certain terms in our help works perfectly - you're immediately shown all topics containing the term. However searching for other terms just shows the loading gif over and over and over... I left it for a good 20 minutes and it's still just showing as loading. Neither search involved any quotations, so it's not related to bug 10143 (recently resolved in update 7).Any ideas?thanks in advance,Beccy

I am trying to upgrade RoboHelp 2020. Help > Check for Updates returns the message "You'll need a new app to open this auphd link" Platform: Windows 10. My current RH version is RH 2020.6.76.How do I get past the error message?

I use RoboHelp to create CHM and PDF help documentation for my company's three products. Last year we upgraded from RoboHelp2019 to RoboHelp2020.5.71. Two of the projects converted without incident, however in the third project, the CHM output was fine but the PDF had no TOC, the font styles were not recognized, and the index had entries but no page numbers.All of my projects have separate TOC configurations for the CHM and PDF outputs. The PDF TOCs are in Book format with Front Matter (cover page and TOC) and Back Matter (index). The output presets for my three projects are similar and I can find not obviously different setting.After reviewing Forum posts for ideas, I rebuilt the TOC (twice) to no avail.Does anyone out there have any ideas about what may have gone wrong and how to fix it?Thanks , Tracy West

I'm trying to get Cross-References to work in my Word output. They work fine in a PDF output, but in Word the selected text is repeated. This is happening for cross-referenced headings, paragraphs, and bookmarks alike. For example, if I xref to a heading in a different topic called "Topic ABC," the link in the xhtml appears as See "Topic ABC" as expected. Ditto for PDF output. But in Word, it appears as See "Topic ABCTopic ABC", where the second instance is a link but the first instance is just extra. Note that this doesn't seem to be an issue for xrefs at a topic level, only xref to content within a topic. Is anyone else seeing this? Is it a bug, or is there something I can do to fix the issue? (I've updated to the latest v7, but that didn't solve my issue.) Thanks!
