I am looking at buying a new Mac Studio. Will the M2 Ulra version help with rendering speeds?

3D model of a wine glass with lines/edges

Hi all,I have created a 3D model of a wine glass in Illustrator with the circle option and exported it as obj-file.When importing this model to Stager and rendering an image the rim and the base of the wine glass show distortions. It looks like the model consists of too few segments to be displayed smoothly round. However, I can't set any smoothing in Stager. In Illustrator the model look perfect. Can someone please help me?

Sticker effect on a glowing transparent acrylic board

Hi 🙂 I have a question. I am looking for an effect in Stager that combines Transparency, Glowing, and Texture.For example, a transparent Acrylic-Board with a White-Sticker on it and an LED-Light illuminating the Acrylic-Board. The acrylic board is transparent and glows a little.The sticker is white and absorbs LED light well and glows strongly.Is it possible to express this effect with Stager? Thank you in advance.BR Toku

Hello, another interesting idea would be to be able to change the location of the automatic backup file. For example, next to the source file, or another location of your choice. For the moment, this is not possible.

Stager 2.1.0 update is unusable for me.

Ever since updating to 2.1.0, my Stager is unable to open large files. It gets stuck "Loading..." indefinitely. And when I open a smaller file, with just a few Object Meshes in it... I cannot render anything. The button for rendering does not become active. I'm stuck and unable to work since this update was installed. I've tried uninstalling, restarting, etc. etc. and nothing I do is working.

It's all in the title. For the moment there isn't one, but it would be nice to have one in the next update(s).It would be ideal for events such as ... For example product. You can rotate slightly around the object while zooming, with zoom level control and also lateral movements, especially if you want to show several objects side by side.

Would it be possible to implement distributed rendering to Stager to allow multiple PCs to complete a single render.We would like to complete turntable renders for our website but there are concerns over the time taken to achieve the desired quality. The ability to use multiple machines to reduce render times would be hugely beneficial.

Small suggestion: it would be good for future versions to have a timeline at the bottom of the interface during the final rendering in order to be able to regularly preview to see the progress of the rendering in animation.

GPU (RTX 4090 Laptop) Rendering Disabled

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions besides ensuring the correct GPU is selected in the Windows and Nvidia environment.  I have tried the latest studio and gaming drivers with a clean install each time.  I assume its still defaulting to the integrated card, but unsure where else I might alter the settings.  Log file included.

Incorrect Reflections

Hello.I started using Stager more and more, mainly as help on still-image retouching, or for creating visuals etc. Learning curve is pretty simple, especially when coming from Dimension. The price is still too high, and I think this should be part of the normal CC offer, as it is an essential tool for retouchers. Anyway – Setting up a visual of a simple little juice bottle, I was mostly happy with the results, especially with the upper part of the bottle. Even a friend working with C4D was impressed with the render.The only real problem is the reflection.It seems that gets generated befor the glass / refraction / shadows on the main object, and therefore looks completely wrong. The reflection should be generated after taking the main object into consideration.Is there anything I am missing? thank you, Stefan.

Hello.Reflections should be rendered / generated after taking textures, materials, inner refraction, and shadows into consideration. This ground reflection bug really ruins an otherwise great, quick render.

Will Stager's 3D assets be exchangeable with Cloud Libraries?Open for Voting

Photoshop, when is still had it's flakey 3D system, was able to transfer created 3D objects to and from my Cloud Libraries. (sadly means I have a stack of poseable 3D characters I now can't use in any software, but still waving at me from my library 😞  ) Would be great to be able to move assets in and out of libraries for sharing, group use/editing, iteration... Thoughts?

Pausing turntable rendersOpen for Voting

Since turntable renders may take quite some time, it would be really nice if we can pause this render (if I need to run another GPU-heavy task on the same computer, for example). Is this an option that will be added?

NO Way To Spin An Object - ( NOT Rotate ) - Feature RequestOpen for Voting

Am I blind ? Is there no way to spin an object in Stager ?I took a cylinder and slimmed it down. ( cylinder object that is inside Stager )I then tried to get it to spin like a coin spinning on a table ( imagine a coin standing up and spinning )there seems NO way to do this at this time ( Stager 2.0 )  Let's hope this ability will be added soon.I've tried doing this now for a good 30 minutes and can't figure out how to do it, so I'm guessing it is not possible at this point.

Scale Vs Size

So, I guess I'm ne to working in 3D space but can someone pont me in the direction oh an explanation of how size and scale work and obect relate to each other. I have object that are on a diffenernt scale for each access but are still all the 30 x 30 x 30 cubes. Like, can i just turn scale off and work from size? Ive never felt stupider... I cannot figure this out.

I'm reviewing designs with glass elements by exporting them from Stager to usdz format and viewing in AR with an iPad. However the glass elements appear solid, not transparent. Is there a material that would export to usdz with transparency?

Render a sphere with potato material

Hello, I would like to create an image like that:So I would like to create an image of a sphere with potato material. The lighting and the material should in principle look exactly like the example image, but I would like to have several variations of it, for which it would be enough to rotate the sphere. To achieve that, I installed Adobe Substance 3D Stager and downloaded this potato material.I have simply tried it like that: Unfortunately, the result looks like this: Can anyone help me make it look like the example? I would be super thankful!
