Hi everyone! As some of you asked, you're now able to rollback to the previous Substance Stager version of 2023 (2.0.2).Like the other Substance products, you'll be able to rollback to the last minor of every major from the year. RMB on Stager 2023 > Properties... > Betas > Betas Participation > 2.0.2 Best regards,
The images I place on 3d models appear in low quality, even if the original is super sharp...??? Is that true?
3D Stager doesn't currently support its own native file format (.ssg) within the Assets > Libraries panel, yet supports more generic formats with less functionality. This is crazy! .ssg files natively support all the features within Stager, specifically both Physical lighting (spot, area, point or directional) and materials. Other file formats that the Libraries panel does support (.glb, .obj, usdz, .gltf, .fbx) dont support both, so there is currently no way to create 3D models which support both materials and physical lights that can be saved in the libraries panel. This is a major issue when a scene has been created and an additional model needs to be imported from the library, say a model of a street lamp or desk lamp with both physical lights set-up and surface material patterns built in to the .ssg file. Only way is to laboriously go through File > Import > 3D model - then find the file location. Would be so much more simple to drag and drop the preset from the
The lack of queued is just tragic for me. I'm currently attempting to convert my work flow over to Stager from Boxshot and the lack of a render queue is just a massive block. I do packaging for a living and I often have to render out multiple different SKUs all at the same time. i.e. a bottle of orange flavour, then strawberry flavour, then banana flavour etc. Sometimes there can be dozens of variations. In Boxshot I can queue all these and let them all render overnight. The lack of a queue in Stager means I can no longer do this and so during the day while I am working on other things my computer is constantly being slowed down by Stagers rendering process and I get interrupted in my work every 15 minutes or so to start another render. This is a massive productivity killer. I hope someone at Adobe reads this and makes it a priority to add this feature.
I'm working with Stager Verison 2.1 on a Mac (Version 12.6.5) Here's what's up.. I attempt to import a model (I've tried FBX and OBJ formats of my own models, and I've tried uploading an FBX model from the Adobe stager rollerskate tutorial. In each of these cases, I get a popup asking my preferred import settings (include unused materials, etc) and when I hit import, nothing happens. The stager screen is black and there are no layers added to the environment. I have waited up to 20 minutes without any change to the scene. When I close Stager and restart the program I'm met with a crash detected error message. It has been doing this every time I have tried to use the program. I am using a 30 day free trial license, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the issue. I have not been able to add any models/use the program since accessing the free trial. I've watched multiple tutorials, so I don't think I'm missing anything terribly obvious, but the software is unusab
Wow, Stager version 2.1, and after 2 years still without ARM support in emulation mode on Mac. Still no isometric camera. This update is just disappointing, Adobe. When do you think we could expect it? I don't really expect a concrete answer, honestly.
Hello,I have another very interesting idea. In order to improve the timeline in animations, it would be interesting if its duration changed according to the time you give it in the animation settings, in order to be more consistent. I mean, if I indicate an animation duration of 3 or 5 seconds, the timeline would have to readjust to this value, for example. It would be a minor but welcome update 😉. Enjoy your evening.
Im trying to work but is imposible, every time i try to preview my work on raytracing to see the scene and the light if i move the light on the enviroment the software didnt show the real shadows or lights, i want to know if someone else have this same problems, as you can see in the photos the final render is ok but in the preview didnt show the floor reflection or shadow
Please help me. When I try to select a selection with the magic wand and make it a different material, I get stuck on the loading screen. It without fail will work the first time, and then the second selection will make it stuck. After it gets stuck, I cannot do anything and am forced to force quit. I have tried different files, unistalled and reinstalled Stager, shutdown and restarted my computer, nothing is working. I am new to this, but I have made 30+ renders of the product in different color schemes and it just now stopped working on Friday and is still not working today (Monday). Thank you for any advice!
Hi 🙂 I have a question about Substance Stager. Is it possible to create a glowing texture effect like a TV monitor using only Stager?Thank you in advance. Substance Stager is a really great software. ThankyouBR Toku
I was wonedring if it was a feature or a bug:When I render a fixed scene, I get an estimate (acknoledging that it's just that: an estimate), but if I render a simple spin of an object/group, I just get the elapsed time in the progress bar. (and no time left or even the blue bar) not the end of the world but since it's supposed to take a long time, I'd raher know if I can start something else instead of watching the computer running 🙂
hi guys~ i am trying to build a high-resolution synthesized material dataset to feed my shadow-removal neural architecture. so i wanna know is Stager a suitable tool to realize it? the key points are all about the realism and diversity of shadows in rendering.thx for the reply:D
I am looking at buying a new Mac Studio. Will the M2 Ulra version help with rendering speeds?
Hi all,I have created a 3D model of a wine glass in Illustrator with the circle option and exported it as obj-file.When importing this model to Stager and rendering an image the rim and the base of the wine glass show distortions. It looks like the model consists of too few segments to be displayed smoothly round. However, I can't set any smoothing in Stager. In Illustrator the model look perfect. Can someone please help me?
Can't find any documentation on how this tool works.
Hi 🙂 I have a question. I am looking for an effect in Stager that combines Transparency, Glowing, and Texture. For example, a transparent Acrylic-Board with a White-Sticker on it and an LED-Light illuminating the Acrylic-Board. The acrylic board is transparent and glows a little. The sticker is white and absorbs LED light well and glows strongly. Is it possible to express this effect with Stager? Thank you in advance.BR Toku
Hello, another interesting idea would be to be able to change the location of the automatic backup file. For example, next to the source file, or another location of your choice. For the moment, this is not possible.
Ever since updating to 2.1.0, my Stager is unable to open large files. It gets stuck "Loading..." indefinitely. And when I open a smaller file, with just a few Object Meshes in it... I cannot render anything. The button for rendering does not become active. I'm stuck and unable to work since this update was installed. I've tried uninstalling, restarting, etc. etc. and nothing I do is working.
It's all in the title. For the moment there isn't one, but it would be nice to have one in the next update(s).It would be ideal for events such as ... For example product. You can rotate slightly around the object while zooming, with zoom level control and also lateral movements, especially if you want to show several objects side by side.
Would it be possible to implement distributed rendering to Stager to allow multiple PCs to complete a single render. We would like to complete turntable renders for our website but there are concerns over the time taken to achieve the desired quality. The ability to use multiple machines to reduce render times would be hugely beneficial.
Small suggestion: it would be good for future versions to have a timeline at the bottom of the interface during the final rendering in order to be able to regularly preview to see the progress of the rendering in animation.
Hey all, is there any source for "stock scenes" for Adobe Stager? Thanks in advance!
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions besides ensuring the correct GPU is selected in the Windows and Nvidia environment. I have tried the latest studio and gaming drivers with a clean install each time. I assume its still defaulting to the integrated card, but unsure where else I might alter the settings. Log file included.
Hallo Leute.
Hello.I started using Stager more and more, mainly as help on still-image retouching, or for creating visuals etc. Learning curve is pretty simple, especially when coming from Dimension. The price is still too high, and I think this should be part of the normal CC offer, as it is an essential tool for retouchers. Anyway – Setting up a visual of a simple little juice bottle, I was mostly happy with the results, especially with the upper part of the bottle. Even a friend working with C4D was impressed with the render. The only real problem is the reflection. It seems that gets generated befor the glass / refraction / shadows on the main object, and therefore looks completely wrong. The reflection should be generated after taking the main object into consideration. Is there anything I am missing? thank you, Stefan.
