How to make this "explosive smoke" effect?

Hi everyone, I am having troubles creating this effect. I have have been using Trapecode Particular to create this but ended up creating sth like this. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

At a quick look it just looks like yours is the wrong color, moving too slowly and there's not enough of it.

remember you don't have to achieve the effect with a single layer or instance of particular

I would create a few more instances of what you did tweak the setting s tiny bit on each

(pre-comp and add a bit of turbulent displace, time remapping to speed it up, color correction & fan the pre-comps out so they cover the entire corner of the screen)

You might even get away with some free stock foo

You might even get away with some free stock footage of smoke rather than messing particular although you did a really nice job creating

a smokey look yourslef.

I think you're on the right track..you just need to get a little creative with what you've already got
