How to add the same effect with the same parameters to multiple layers

Hi,

I ran into this issue when I was trying to imitate stage lights with point lights.  I made one light, then duplicated it numerous times.  I wanted to make them audio-reactive so they glow in sync to audio keyframes. However, I couldn't figure out how to pick whip all of them to the audio channels without having to do it individually.  In addition, I ended up modifying the expression to increase the amount of glow that would be influenced by the music.  So, I had to modify each individual light's expression, which is really not a good workflow for the project I'm planning.  Can anyone point me in the right direction in terms of applying the same effect to many layers (in this case lights)?

Various options... but at a basic level:

1. establish your expression on the first layer.

2. Select that property. [Menu] Edit > Copy with property links

3. Select all the other layers. Paste.

This will paste expressions onto the other layers that reference the property on the first layer.
