We currently have two Rodecaster II podcast boards connected to a MacBook Pro and a Macbook Air. After the latest firmware update on the Rodecaster (Version 1.7.6) and updates to each MAC OS (Golden Gate 27 and Tahoe 26) the Channel inputs coming into Adobe Audition are different! For a while now, the audio channels on the Rodecaster are sent to the multitrack output with the attached device and source list. Sources 1 and 2 coming into Audition are Main Mix outputs (L and R) so normally, I would route Mic Track 1 > Input > Mono > Source 3 (Combo 1) for that track. Mic 2 would be Source 4 (Combo 2), Mic 3 would be Source 5 (Combo 3) and Mic 4 would be Source 6 (Combo 4) . However, now the multitrack output from the Rodecaster seems to have 2 sources dedicated to each channel! So Mic 1’s routing works fine but then I need to skip an input selection for the rest of my mics. Figuring this out wasted a lot of my time! Here is the input configuration that got my mics on the proper
Title: Batch Route Selected Tracks to Buses & Add Folder Tracks for Session OrganizationMessage: Adobe Audition's Multitrack Editor currently lacks two fundamental workflow features that make managing large sessions tedious: batch output routing and folder tracks. Batch Output Routing to Bus: Right now, routing multiple tracks to a single bus requires manually clicking the dropdown menu on every single track individually. We need the ability to highlight multiple tracks (using Shift or Ctrl/Cmd click) and batch-assign their output to a bus or send with a single click. Track Folders / Groups: Most modern DAWs allow users to collapse multiple tracks into Folder Tracks or Track Groups for session organization. Large multitrack sessions with numerous vocal layers, double tracks, background harmonies, or drum stems quickly become cluttered. Having collapsible folder tracks would drastically streamline visual navigation, timeline management, and vertical zoom efficiency in Audition. Ad
Title: Overhaul VST3 Processing & Multi-Threading Engine to Eliminate Audio Dropouts on High-End PCsAdobe Audition needs a major architectural update in how its VST3 engine handles heavy 3rd-party processing queues.I frequently experience severe audio dropouts, stuttering, and crackling during multitrack playback when using processor-intensive plugins, such as iZotope's Ozone Stem EQ or Cradle's The God Particle. For a long time, I assumed these playback issues were caused by my PC hardware. However, after upgrading to a top-tier, high-end PC, the exact same bottlenecks persist in Audition.Meanwhile, running these exact same plugin chains across multiple tracks in other DAWs (like Reaper or Studio One) runs completely smooth on the exact same machine.Dedicated DAWs handle heavy VST3 suites efficiently by using anticipatory dynamic buffering and balanced multi-core CPU scheduling. Audition's VST host engine appears to struggle with thread allocation and dynamic buffer delivery when
Title: Add Copy & Paste for Automation Envelope Keyframes in MultitrackIt’s frustrating that almost every other Adobe app (like Premiere Pro and After Effects), as well as virtually every other major DAW, allows you to copy and paste keyframes, but Adobe Audition still lacks this basic functionality. When mixing a full session and fine-tuning automation for a chorus or hook (volume rides, panning, effect parameters), having to manually recreate every single keyframe point from scratch for the second and third choruses is a massive waste of time and an unnecessary headache. We urgently need the ability to select, copy, and paste keyframe points across clip/track envelopes in the Multitrack Editor. This simple feature would fix a huge workflow bottleneck for anyone doing serious audio mixing in Audition.
It would be nice to copy/paste keyframe placement between tracks. In this case, I changed the levels in certain areas of a music track that wasn't finished. Instead of going back and reinserting said keyframes at the same values in the finished file, it would be nice to select all keyframes in the unfinished file and paste them in the new file. I've tried doing this and all it does is copy/paste the actual file instead of its keyframes.
I am an audiobook narrator and have been recording in multitrack forever, going back and checking every punch in to make sure it sounds okay, adjusting the crossfade, etc. My narrator community has told me this is a huge waste of time and to just record in waveform. BUT EVERY TIME I DO, a small click occurs at EVERY punch spot. I've done everything i can think of to eliminate this, but auto healing these takes more time and effort then simply going back to check my multitrack crossings. Has anyone ever had this issue? These are what the clicks look like every time I punch in, they are noticeable on the waveform and I can hear them. I have it set to snap to zero crossings and I still have this problem.
To reproduce:Open "Delete Silence" tool and select some sane thresholdsSelect ~60 min or longer of audio and click "Scan"Detected silence segments include long sections of audio, as if the thresholds were invisibly changed. The number of segments detected is also much smaller than it should be.If you reduce the audio selection slowly (e.g. from 60min to 50min, then 40min, 30min, etc.) and scan at every duration, at some point, it will start working correctly again. Number of segments detected goes from something like 26 to 498 when I shorten the duration from 34min to 33min. This makes no sense, because it longer duration must have more segments. From the behavior, it seems like when more than 500 segments of silence are present, it gives the wrong result.
Hi all. Just wondering if anyone else is using the Liquid Sonics 'Seventh Heaven Professional' plug in and having any issues? When I try to bounce down a mix the plug-in effect / audio isn't bouncing with the rest of the stems. Any thoughts? Latest version of Audition. Mac Ventura 13.7.4
Anytime I position my mouse pointer to a different position in an audio file (in Adobe Audition) and left click the mouse a vertical line gets created in the audio file .audio file. Those lines totally screw things up in general. e.g.; The playback volume is changed and it’s a total pain to get rid of them. They only started appearing recently and I have checked al preferences, but found nothing that turns them off. My install download appears to be dependent upon the Adobe Creative Cloud but when I run iit to re-install the app, this version (CS5.5) is not available. A fix is urgently needed. Please advise. Thx.
I produce a weekly radio series (Analog Masters) devoted to classical LPs and 78s. I regularly use Audition to transfer audio from the original source to a digital format. Since the most recent Windows update (late August 2026), I have noticed an audio problem that was not previously audible. Natural fades (such as at the end of a movement) are no longer smooth. One or more ‘bumps’ in audio level are noticeable as the last note fades. I use a Behringer U-Phono UFO202 unit for analog-to-digital conversion. My computer is a recent Dell running Windows 11. I had the most recent version of Audition, but as a test I reverted to 25.6.6. This did not cure the problem. I have also restarted my computer and double-checked all audio settings. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Any suggestions?
After importing a file in Audition (26.5), when I close the application, the audition.exe and crashpad_handler.exe processes remain running forever. AI reports the problem to be an Adobe bug:free_adobe_read_context shuts down a tokio runtime from a DLL-unload / atexit destructor, which isn't safe during ExitProcess. It should use a shutdown with a timeout (tokio's shutdown_background or shutdown_timeout), or skip that cleanup when the process is already shutting down.Repro:Launch AuditionImport an .mp3 fileClose Auditionconfirm these processes never end: audition.execrashpad_handler.exe
Hello Adobe Audition Team,On behalf of professional audio editors across post-production, broadcasting, animation, music, and podcasting, we request several key features that would make Adobe Audition more competitive and efficient for large-scale audio work.Audition is already a reliable DAW for editing, mixing, and restoration, but there are modern workflow tools present in other professional audio software that would significantly speed up production and organization for thousands of users.Requested FeaturesBins / Folder Structure in Files PanelCreate and manage folders (bins) in the Files panel to organize assets like Voice, SFX, Music.Drag-and-drop between bins, search inside bins, and filter by tags.Track Folders with FX InheritanceCollapsible folder tracks to group related tracks (e.g., all character voices, or all ambient SFX).Apply effects, automation, or routing at the folder level that affect all child tracks.Per-Clip / Per-Item EffectsApply effects directly to individual cl
Not everyone has access to a keyboard or synths. So track loops can help create music tracks for the rest of us. But a “beatmapper” to match beats is sorely needed to help with the mixing, in order to match beats of different music clips (loops) to pull a music track together. I used to love this feature in Sound Forge within the composition window. It’s not all about podcasts and editing voice. ;)
i think i may have misckicked somemething, all of my audio was in streo and half of it turned into mono, i tried going to Edit > Convert Sample Type, set Channels to Stereo, and click OK. and saved and it still displays them as mono even when they are shown to have a left and right channel in the files panel please help, im a bit on a newbie, so i dont understand everything

All of a sudden I cannot Fade In or Out in Audition. Under Clip-->Fade In all of the options (No Fade, Fade In, Crossfade, etc) are grayed out. None of them are working. Likewise for Clip-->Fade Out, same problem. Currently running Audition Build 12.1.4.5. All of my Favorite Effects disappeared at the same time, but I will write up a 2nd post for that. Help!
My Adobe subscription was renewed in August as per my American Express statement charge 279.71 via Adobe.LY/ENUS. I need to access Audition and it is asking me for a password. Please advise.
I have been using Audition for decades and continue to pay a monthly subscription to enjoy updated features. I have over a thousand vinyl records. I record these records to my computer using Audition and an external analog to digital converter. I then process the wave forms, create CD tracks and burn them to CDs. This is a passionate hobby for me. Audtion v26.3 removed all CD features. Please restore these. Otherwise, my only option is to use older versions of Audition, continue to pay subscription fees and never have Audition updated in the future. It is a feature that didn’t need to be removed, even if it is only used by a minority of people.
In Audition v26.0, the Frequency Analysis scan results (Channel 1 / Channel 2 / Average) displayed frequency and amplitude values with fixed 2‑decimal precision. This made the data easy to read and compare, especially when calculating channel differences or EQ adjustments.Starting in v26.3, the bottom portion of the Frequency Analysis panel began showing full floating‑point numbers (e.g., 43.5744743347 Hz). This is a regression from v26.0.In v26.5, Adobe fixed the top readout so it’s rounded again, but the bottom table is still unfixed and continues to output raw float values. This makes the scan results inconsistent and much harder to use for workflows that rely on stable, fixed‑precision numbers.Request: Please apply the same rounding/formatting fix used for the top readout to the bottom table of the Frequency Analysis scan results, restoring the v26.0 behavior (2‑decimal precision). Thanks for looking into this — it’s a small UI detail, but it has a big impact on analysis workflows.
WelcomeI am blind user of your trial version of adobe audition, however i am totally blind user with big experience of using Windows operating system and MacOS with screen readers. Unfortunatelly the adobe audition has not accessible on both platforms. It is most important to add the accessibility features to your APP such as accessibility assistant in acrobat reader. There are lots of users with visually empires around the world who use the computers and mobile devices as second eyes. I am radio journalist and editing audio material is my work, so adding this feature will improve my work rapidly.Kind regards LukasPs. I can test your result in the beta team channel or another way.
Hello Adobe Community! I am looking to shorten some music tracks for an upcoming dance performance event, and rather than just fading songs out at the end I am looking to cut out repetitive sections of the songs. Does anyone have any advice for doing this in a way that makes it not obvious to our audience that the music has been edited? Any tips on clean transitions in a song when a chunk has been taken out? For context, most of my experience with the adobe suite has been for graphic design, but I am learning this program as a hobbyist and am by no means doing this professionally. I am also a dancer and often have to shorten songs to fit into performance time slots, so I am hoping to gain a better understanding on the best ways to do this.
The last update I did for Audition (26.3.0.79) lost all my custom keyboard shortcuts. If I remember right, the update glitched and I had to uninstall and reinstall Audition. I added my custom keyboard shortcuts again and all of them work fine except for two shortcuts to two custom favorites I created. Every time I quit Audition and reopen, those two shortcuts are gone, all the rest are still there, include 3 other shortcuts to custom favorites. I have tried using different keys combinations as shortcuts but it still happens. It’s as if there is a limit of 3 shortcuts to custom favorites. I am using a relatively new iMac with M4 processor. Tahoe 26.5.2.
If the & symbol is used in the name of a custom favorite, it saves initially but disappears after quitting and restarting Audition. Might cause other issues too. I noticed that when I tried to open the keyboard shortcut xml file with the Safari browser it flagged an error in the file.
