The Submit button I created for my PDF Interactive document doesn't send to my e-mail.

It gives me  the following error.

I tried to figure this out by searching forums, other websites, and you-tube without any luck. It appears this has been a problem that never gets a clera answer from the Indesign or Adobe Team. Please help with this issue as soon as possible.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks

Mail is really a toy for testing, not the proper way to submit.

    A few thoughts:

Check the URL syntax on the InDesign button. Use Go To URL, remove http:// and replace with mailto:name@company.com

Are you exporting to a Interactive PDF?

Have you set up your email account in Reader (and/or Acrobat) Preferences > Email Accounts?

Hello, yes I'm exporting to an interactive PDF.

I tried this under URL and Button, did not work.

(Check the URL syntax on the InDesign button. Use Go To URL, remove http:// and replace with mailto:name@company.com)

Ah, I see you’re using Reader.

What is the URL that you used for the button? How are you testing this form? Anything other than Acrobat or Acrobat Reader will be a crapshoot.

InDesign is a layout program. While it has the ability to create many PDF form elements, it's not involved in the finalizing and distribution of PDF forms. This would be done in Adobe Acrobat using the Prepare Form tool. Here's an Acrobat Pro Help page which helps to understand the process:

Since this isn't something which is actually done in InDesign, you'll get better support from the PDF Forms forum for Acrobat:
