Decrease font size in fillable PDF form

Using the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader to fill out a form someone has sent me, I found that the font starts out very large until you fill the whole field and then decreases in size as you add more characters or spaces. The receiver of the form must be use to this by now and is more interested in the information in the field than in the large size or inconsistency of the font sizes. The font size can be reduced and the information centered in the field by added spaces on one or both sides of your inserted text. This really is unnecessary except for maybe keeping a space in between adjacent fields if the left field is filled and the right field starts right next to it making the two fields look like one entry.

1. Activate the "Font" tools window (Menu: Windows --> Font).
2. Double-click inside of the form field.  (This is will allow you to change only the "text" or "input" preferences for that field.)
3. In the Font window, select the font and size you want.
