All of a sudden, I cannot save pdf documents anymore. This renders the product virtually useless to me. I am a fully paid subscriber to DC Pro. Thgis makes me very unhappy with Adobe.

Hi Kentich,

Please understand that something unique must be taking place here as any software that would prevent you from doing something so basic (saving) is obviously wrong.

But to begin, some basics:

Which release of Acrobat DC Pro do you have? (check the "About" to see this)

What Operating System are you using (and what release)

Since this is a suddenly started issue, have you done any updates recently to the OS?

FWIW, I'm on a Mac and if I try to save a document to a folder that is not allowed, I can get the same inability to save. Have you tried to change the location of where you are saving to? Alternatively, are you trying to save the document with the same name that another file has in the same folder.

Simply, there's no reason why you cannot save and it must be unique to something going on in your system. Hopefully we can work out what that is so you can Save as before.

Gary:

Thanks for your quick response. I was able to get my issue resolved through a chat with someone in Adobe’s support team. It turns out, my Adobe Acrobat DC Pro had somehow disappeared from my laptop and I had to download it again.

Hi Kent,

Delighted to hear that it was an easy to resolve issue.

Now your next task is to figure out how and why your copy of Acrobat DC disappeared from your laptop!
