Select, copy text, and then strikethrough?

Hello.

I am working on a Mac, and using both Acrobat 9 Pro and Acrobat 11 Pro.   (Not at the same time, but both are equally available to me.)

I am trying to devise a workflow where I first select text in a PDF, then copy it to the clipboard, and then strikethrough it so I know the text has been captured.  (Working with huge documents and massive amounts of data, so a clear trail of what has been accomplished is really valuable.)

I had this workflow successfully mastered previously with Keyboard Maestro, but those macros are no longer working.  Do not know why.  My efforts to revive them have been frustratingly unsuccessful.

Is anyone here able to share any suggestions for how to accomplish this?   If it is possible to do it with keystrokes (rather than mouse movements) that would be ideal, but I am amenable to any viable approach.

Thanks much.
