In Apple iPad the hyperlinked pdf works if linked to same file but doesn't work when the link is to another pdf file.  This has happened after the update. Request to please reply with the solution.

Hi mansukh24686526hf9t,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please let us know if the workflow was working fine before the update. Check if this happens with all the PDFs or particular ones.

Would you mind sharing the sample PDF so we can look into this?

Share the Acrobat Reader and OS version on your iOS device.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi @mansukh24686526hf9t,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

Are you linking the file using an internal link? If yes, it is unlikely to open.

If you are linking the file using an online database link, it should work like usual.

Please share the sample file and a screen recording of the workflow for better understanding and assistance.

Look forward ti hearing from you.

-Souvik

Thank you for the reply.

In Apple iPad the hyperlink in the same pdf works but doesn't open the file
linked to another pdf.

Please find the sample folder attached to this email for your reference.

Hi @mansukh24686526hf9t,

Thanks for the response.

Would you mind logging in to the community to attach the folder? Emailing the response does not capture attachments.

Hi @mansukh24686526hf9t,

This does not work even on my system if I do not have the files saved in the exact location you have linked.

I suggest creating a PortFolio file with the secondary files as attachments to the primary. You can learn how to from the below link:

Create and customize PDF Portfolios (adobe.com)

Hope this helps.

Hi @mansukh24686526hf9t,

That is exactly what I was referring to.

The files are linked to a specific file location, but the file directory on the mobile device works differently.

The workflow you shared works on my system but not on my phone or iPad.

However, let me check on this with the team and get back to you.

Thanks for the reply. The same pdf files use to work earlier in the old version (not sure which) of Acrobat and ios.
For your reference, the same file works in pdf expert app.

@mansukh24686526hf9t Thanks for the heads-up.

Have the team investigate it to see where the break in the workflow is.

Hi @mansukh24686526hf9t,

As mentioned earlier, and confirmed by the team, hyperlinking to external files does not work on Acrobat Reader for Mobile.

The workflow works fine on the desktop version but not on mobile.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

The option to display two documents simultaneously on the mobile device is not yet available. You may share your feedback with the engineering team using the link https://adobe.ly/4cL9LfF
