I have been trying to transfer pdf files into word at work and have not been able to transfer the file without the text boxes coming through. I need to edit the documents and it is hard to edit and make changes with everything being TEXT BOXES. Does anyone know how to transfer a pdf File witout everything being in text boxes or being able to remove text boxes on word but not the wordings?

The advice says:

Convert a PDF to other file types

  1. Open your PDF in Acrobat.

  2. Either choose File > Export To or choose Tools > Export PDF.

  3. Choose any one of these formats: Microsoft Word (DOCX) (etc)

  4. Once the format is selected, click on the gear icon that appears and choose the export options that best fit your needs.

My issue is that NO GEAR ICON appears, so I'm unable to adjust the export options.

I'm trying to highlight text in my exported PDF to Word doc and I am unable to do it, I've tried everything and searched in all the Word help.  I think I'll have to copy out all the text by hand into a new document, which seems crazy!

Hope someone can add more help here?  Thanks very much

Hi Tariq, that's kind of you.  Unfortunately it contains private information about someone so I'm unable to do that.  I'll try to find something similar that isn't private..

No.  This did not work.  It still exported to text boxes.

Hi jespinoza2,

Please try changing option to "Document" under 'Comments and Forms' in print dialog box.

It will be right above the preview pane.

Let us know if this resolves your issue.
