P: History of Previous Generated Images

I want to check the previous images I generated, but Adobe Firefly doesn't have a history or a section of recently generated images. In other AI image generators, you can go back to the previous images you generated. Please provide a section in Adobe Firefly where we can review the past images we generated.

Thanks for suggesting! This is definitely a highly requested feature. You can use your browser's back button to see previous generated images for now. (Merging all requests for this feature here so we can track the demandd for it)

In case you haven't seen, we have taken a first step in creating features that are highly requested. In the latest release, we added a Favorites page to save your favorite images. There are several limitations for this release:

    • This will be saved to the local browser and is not connected to an individual's CC Library yet.
    • Favorites will not persist when switching to a different browser or using an incognito browser
    • Only works for Text to Image and Text Effect modules
    • Favoriting images using

@Melodic_loyalty5CDA This is a great idea! I've shared it with the team. In the meantime, please check out how to save your generation for Text to image and Text effects here: https://helpx.adobe.com/firefly/using/whats-new/2024.html#save-to-library

The promt settings and the seed should definitely be saved. Images could be saved forever with only a few hundred bytes of data.

Just got firefly and I'm so surprised this feature doesn't exist yet! I consider it standard for this type of app 🙂

I've been using Midjourney and this is standard and makes sense.  With Adobe we seem to be using credits but unless we manually save it they're simply gone?! Why wasn't this flagged at the earliest stages of setting the design parameters for Firefly.  This should be implemented immediately. Thanks to the OP for getting Adobe's attention and adding it to their to-do list.

You can save your generated images by adding them to Favorites or to a Creative Cloud Library. Here's more info:

There is a total hack for this. Go into your web browser's search history. Use the search term "firefly" plus any portions of your previous search that you can remember. Firefly returns your images with the search terms in the url, so you can search your previous searches. lol

Right! I also found out that, but the thing is that with the worflow or after a couple of days, it's hard to go back to that url you need.  So, still a hack, when it should be a feature.

Hi, when I'm working with firefly and other AI generators, the benefit of a history of the generated outcame is a huge benefit. It is your competitive disadvantage - eg. Midjourney has its history of generated images and even in form of a gallery.

Please, add history to Firefly.

As I scroll through the work that I've generated and downloaded today some of them really stand out as exactly what I was shooting for (or even better!). I would love to go back to the prompt and tweak it to see what happens. If there already is a history, then please make it easier to find.

Images with prompts and syles are not saved automatically. You have to take action to save them. There are two ways. They originate with the buttons on the top right of an image:

droopydog500_0-1708116906728.jpeg

The right one, "favourite", saves them (image, prompt, styles) in the local browser cache. This method allows you to go back and see the image and the prompts and styles that created it. The favourites are only available in that browser on that computer, and can be lost if you delete local browser data. You can see any favourites saved from the "Favourites" tab on the main Firefly page (this example is from a mobile phone):

droopydog500_2-1708116906717.jpeg

The button on the left provides several options:

droopydog500_4-1708116906731.jpeg

Share link allows to to copy a URL that takes you back to the image in firefly where you can see the image, prompt and styles. This function copies the URL top your clipboard, and you then need to save that URL somewhere where you can retrieve and paste back into the browser when you want to go back to that image/prompt/styles.

If you do not save via one of these, the image/prompt/styles are lost forever.

It used to be this way. As of Feb. 19th 2024 it is not working. Unless you have to have a paid acount. But I have a yearly subscription to the CC & the browser's back button is not working anymore like it used to when I first started on Firefly. Does it need to refresh after an amount of time?

@Gary Camaro, no, they changed how Firefly works. This is the announcement posted on the Firefly Discord:

I have complained about this in another post, and encourage you to upvote it if you do not like this change:

Change in URL creates more headaches for managing/saving images/prompts/styles

Yes, please implement a history asap.
I forgot to save my generated output to library and the IMAGE IS GONE FOREVER!

Please implement history method, I've been waiting for 3+ months for a simple thing that every ai tool has.

Il serait intéressant de mettre en place un système d'historique d'image généré.

Now that they're "charging" per-generation, I think they owe it to users to store everything.

Bonjour,

Merci

It's been 6 months since the employee responded it's a "great idea" and that they've "shared it with the team", yet this super basic feature still doesn't exist.

This is a paid service. Get you act together Adobe Firefly team.
