Inverted rotation when parenting layers with inverted scale

Community Beginner ,

I'm having this issue on every post 2020 versions of After Effects: When I flip horizontally or vertically a layer the rotation of all the layers linked to it get inverted. It's really hard to animate layers like that because the rigs start to behave way less intuitive.
I would like to know if there's any way to solve this problem and make that the parented layers behave like they used to on older versions.

Could you please describe your workflow a little more. Are you parenting to a null object? If not would that be helpful?

I'm making a rig for a character, so for example:
1) I had the - right hand layer- linked to the -right arm layer-
2) Instead of making the left arm+hand I can simply duplicate and flip horizontally the right ones.
3) But when I flip the arm layer, the linked hand layer gets an inverted rotation (if I rotate the hand in one direction it moves to the opposite one)

Same things happen when parenting to a null objet, if you flip the null objet the layers linked to it will get an inverted rotation too.
