The grid color does not change in version 25

Issue - 

1. I entered the settings menu
2. I got to changing the color of the grid
3. I changed the color from black to green (as it always was)
4. I clicked ok
5. The color has not changed

  • Adobe After Effects version number - 25.0
  • Operating system - os 14.5 3.3  mac pro GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon W
  • Expected result - That color will change after changing the settings

The fix for this issue is now available in 25.0.1 which you can install/upgrade in Creative Cloud Desktop. Again, apologies for the issue.

Thanks for reporting it. Same problem on my end as well. We've filed a ticket. For now, you can reset the After Effects preferences to change the color back to the default.

I installed the new apps and in After Effects v25 the new 'change colour of grid' feature doesn't work for me. It's stuck as 'black lines', which obviously can't be seen on black or very dark backgrounds.

I use these grids all the time, so I'm hoping the fix is in the next update 🙏

Apologies for this issue. It is fixed in the 25.1 Beta builds and we are working on a 25.0.1 to fix this (and a couple of other issues) which we hope to have released next week.

The solution is "use the Beta until we can release a 25.0.1 non-Beta with the fix if this is blocking your workflow".
