Unable to open AE After 25.3 Update "The application was unable to start correctly"

After updating from AE 25.2.2 to AE 25.3 I cannot open the problem, and get the popup "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). 

 

Downgrading back to 25.2.2 fixes the issue

 

  1. I have reset prefreences
  2. Uninstalled / reinstalled
  3. Updated Visual C++ runtimes
  4. Video drivers are up to date
  5. BIOS is up to date as of a few months ago

 

OS: Windows 11

GPU: 3080TI

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950x3D

    Same here stuck on 25.2 and cannot use any version of adobe 25.3 at all. currently on AMD Ryzen 9 9950x3D, RTX 5090

    Hi Vask8219,

     

    If you're getting the same error as the OP, updating the Visual C++ runtimes should help. Here's how you can do it.

    In Windows Control Panel, go to Add or Remove Programs > double-click each C++ file and select repair. Once all the files are repaired, restart your computer.

      I have the same issue on 25.3.
      Windows 11 latest update, AMD 9950x, RTX 5090

      Hi all,

       

      Sorry to hear about the crash. The GPU driver can cause such an issue. If the latest Studio driver does not help, can you try downgrading a version?

      Same problem here. I tried to update c++ runtimes as well and it didn't help. Downgrading to 25.2.2 fixed the issue for me.

      OS: Windows 10
      GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070
      CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
