3d Text - tracking analysis failed

Hi y'all, quick question. I'm trying to use the 3d Text tracking for this clip but i keep on getting the tracking analysis failed message.

I've tried cutting it into small segements and i've tried masking the fire out but nothing seems to work. I'm guessing the footage doesnt work for the 3d tracking (I am able to do it on other scenes of this video). Do you have any other ideas that I can try to track something on this intro or do I just have to move on with my life? I tried using the one point tracker but I haven't been able to achieve a convincing result. HELP

That looks like game capture footage. The virtual camera that was used for that shot probably does not have true perspective. That is not at all uncommon. Because the perspective does not follow the same rules as a real camera AE's camera tracker is not going to be able to complete the analysis. Also, I think you mean 3D Camera tracking because AE has no 3D Text tracking function.

A better option would be to motion track or motion stabilize the shot so that the part of the frame where you want to put the text is either not moving or you have tracking info for the feature region you are tracking. If you decide to motion stabilize the shot then you can just add a text layer add a null, tie the null's position to the anchor point of the motion stabilized layer with a simple expression, then parent the text layer and the footage to the null. This will put the motion back in the shot and add the motion to the text layer. 

The other option would be to use Mocha AE to do some corner pin tracking for the shot then apply "corner pin" to a text layer.
