Hello 👋,
my goal is to have an efficient workflow of adding a certain frame around video files.
As this screenshot (taken from a vector graphics tool named Figma) is supposed to demonstrate, I want to create videos that appear as if recorded from an operating system. With framed videos/images to be moved around as windows in front of a background.
The challenges I see, are that the frames have opacity, a tiny border, and rounded corners.
And the frame would need to be adjusted to different video dimensions.
Ideally, I'd have exported video files (including transparency) of individual "windows" to be used inside Premiere Pro or whatever editing software I choose.
To be quite honest, I don't use Adobe products yet, but I think I'll need them for this purpose.
Hope you have some ideas 🙂

Not really much to it. As a start you could explore Adobe XD's tools and create your fake UI there and then import it into AE. Similarly, pretty much all of this stuff could easily be rigged up using parametric shape layer rectangles and a few basic expressions to keep things aligned and mimic mouse-over behaviors where needed. It's basically just an hour of sitting down in either program and creating a template.

Thanks Mylenium,
What kind of expressions do you have in mind?
what do you mean specifically when talking about keeping things aligned and how would an expression help?
Regarding mouseover. I looked it up briefly. Seems like this is for interactive animations?
I don't plan to display a mouse in my videos anyway.
