Hi,

Can someone help me? Advanced 3D does not appear on my After Effects. I have an RX 6600. I have the impression that the software does not recognize my GPU.Capture d'écran 2025-08-24 221509.png

Have you already updated the graphic card driver to the latest?

That's not ideal. Could you tell us the rest of your system specifications (CPU, RAM, OS version)? Also, what version of the GPU driver is installed? Did you update the GPU driver manually or using Windows updates? Updating it manually from the manufacturer's website is recommended.

Let us know.

Thanks,
Nishu

I have a Ryzen 5 5500 and 16GB of AEGSKILLS RAM at 3000Hz. I updated everything manually from the official AMD website. And I updated my Windows too just in case. Driver version: 25.8.1

Thanks for getting back with details. When was the last time After Effects detected the GPU properly? Was there any update that triggered the issue? I am asking because sometimes the new GPU driver causes issues. You may need to do a clean install of the GPU driver.

Thanks,
Nishu

The last time it worked I had another GPU in my computer. This one was recognized by After Effect but was really old and I couldn't use Advanced 3D. So I decided to change GPU and my GPU didn't recognize it. I tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it too, nothing worked.

Please Help thanks

After Effects doesn’t support AMD GPUs (like RX 6600) for Advanced 3D. It mainly works with NVIDIA cards using CUDA, so that’s why your GPU isn’t recognized. You’ll need to use CPU rendering or check Adobe’s list of supported GPUs u shaped sofa store.png

Which GPU were you using before this one? Have you removed the old GPU driver? If not, please do so and ensure there are no residue files left.

Thanks,
Nishu
