AE 24.0.1 Update Question

I'm new to the world of CC everything, as such, still learning best practices for managing updates & such.

I'm curretnly running AE 23, but wish to upgrade to the newest 24.0.1. However, just to be safe, I'd like to NOT uninstall the older version.

My question is, if I simply install the new version of AE, will the CC installer app still migrate all of my custom settings, prefs, plugs, etc?
