Hi,

I'm making a 360 video in after effetcs, i'm adding graphics with the vr comp editor.

I've come across this issue sometimes and i don't know why.

-in the first pictrure is the edit 3d comp, where i've tracked the footage, clicked "track scene" in the properties and added my graphics, then clicked save in the propeties menu.

in the second picture, after pressing "open output/render", you can see the results are way off, it duplicates my graphics all over the frame from some reason.

any suggestions?

thank you

I'd possibly need to see your comp to spot what's going on.  But to check my understanding:

  • You have a 360 video, which you've tracked.
  • Into that tracked environment you've placed some 2.5 D solids / layers
  • When you've updated the VR Environment, its placed these layers all over the place.

I've found with VR in AE, it's best to start with a blank / empty VR comp and paste in my 3D layers to that.  So, you've got your 3D tracked 2.5D layers, if you paste those into a new VR Master Comp, and then Generate the VR output, and add your 360 footage underneath, does that solve the problem?

Hi,

Thank you for replying mate.

YES that worked...

I made a new 2D VR COMP for my selected footage (not blank),

then pasted my tracked 3d layer in that comp.

Vr output look fine...
