AE CC2017 not ram previewing in real time

I can't preview in real time in AE CC2017...at first I thought it was a hey trapcode mir plugin causing problems, then I cannot ram preview with a pre rendered pass from c4d, now when i play back a comp that it just a solid and a audio track, every time I add in a marker, it stops playing for a minute. I turned off the audio slowing down in preferences...I'm on a very fast computer, and all my media is connected to solid state storage.

Hello,

What OS and version of Trapcode Mir do you use?

OSX 10.12.6 and Mir 2.1...but it stops playing real time even without mir, like if i playback a comp with just audio and add in markers, every time i add a marker playback slows down or stops...

Hello,

Have you already tried to delete the old cache?

yeah, that didn't work...someone at work mentioned a bug where if the render queue is docked in the timeline panel, it won't play back in real time...i tried pulling it out and I'm having some success...any idea if this bug is for real, and is it being fixed by the team?

It is the Audio which is not playing back in Realtime or everything in the composition? Because I have checked in After Effects version 14.2.1.34 running on MAC OS X 10.12.6 (SSD disk) with Render Queue Panel dock next to the comp And it works perfectly fine.

Can your share your After Effects Version, format of audio file and the screenshot of Preview panel, Timeline & composition settings.

I don't know, there are times that the audio stops (when I add markers to the track) and it doesn't show a NOT REAL TIME error in the preview window, and then there are times I'm playing back something that is solid green in my timeline and I get the red NOT REAL TIME error...there's no consistency to it, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...I thought it was a rogue field fixer plugin causing the problems when i removed all my scripts and plugins and tested it, but the problem is now back...

I'm on AE 14.2.1.34, I'm using a mp3 audio track, and the screenshot is attached...

Hi,

Apologies for the late reply. I can see in the screenshot of Preview panel that Frame Rate is set to Auto (29.97) the Brackets indicate that you have set it to Auto FPS.

Trying changing it to a fixed value I.E 29.97 than playing back.
