AE Projects in ME render export slower than in AE render

Hello 🙂

I recently looked for ways to speed up my renders and found the post on smart rendering in this forum which said that:'The time it takes [in Media Encoder] to encode a flattened mezzanine file to an H.264 copy should be much faster than exporting it in the standard way.'

Till this point, I thought it's normal that it takes 1 hour per AE video minute to export in ME with my setup, whereas it takes me 45 minutes to export a 9-minute video in the AE render.

But it seems like this should not be the case. Is there anything wrong? Or did I misinterpret anything? Or is it something completely different?

I hope you can answer my questions or even help me reduce the render time 🙂

i5 6500

RX 580

8GB RAM

Not realyl much to say. With only 8 GB of RAM and a moderate GPU not muchg is going to happen to speed up renders. Also keep in mind that you are still rendering an AE container inside an AME process, so even AME has to wait until a frame (or multiple frames) have actualyl finished. That and of course simply a lot of acceleration stuff in AE may not work under this model. Either it gets disabled outright to avoid compatibility issues and the processes battling for resources or it will not work b

We cannot help, since you missed to share your render settings of both AE and AME.

Please add them, so we can have a closer look.

Oops xD Sorry

Here you go:
Settings.png

That are the output settings of AE

The output settings on ME are H264 preset with a 30 000 bit/s bitrate

I hope this is enough information 🙂
