AE RAM Preview Not working AFTER previewing PR file

AE's RAM preview works fine until after I try to preview a sequence in Premiere. After that, RAM previews in AE no longer work. After several reboots and program restarts, I've finally been able to recreate the issue regularly. Help! Never have had this problem before with previous versions. This is AE version 15.1.0 Build 166.

Are both applications running concurrently? If you can reproduce this issue then file a Bug Report. At the top of the main page of this forum is a link to Feature Request - this is the same link to send in a Bug Report. Please use it. Ensure that you provide more details on how you initiate your previews in AE and PPro.

You tried to reset your software. It may solve your problem:

1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) immediately when press to open the software or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) before pressing to start the application.
2. A dialog box launches asking you if you want to delete your preferences file. Click OK.

Is there an alternate method to deleting preferences? This is an IT controlled machine and holiding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift just brings up a prompt to open the program with (IT) audited access and the program just starts normally with no dialog allowing me to delete preferences.
