After Effects 2020 Bug

I've upgraded to AE 2020 and I can't even use it. If you look at the attached image, you can see that my workspace has a whole bunch of lines across it. If I take my text tool and type on it, the text is multiplied within each little line, it's almost as if my workspace has multiplied itself a million times. I'm working on a 2019 Macbook Pro running Catalina 10.15.1.

I have already tried closing this and starting a new project, I've tried restarting AE, I've tried rebooting my computer, and I've also tried re-installing the program and it's still there, so I'm left to assume it's a bug on Adobe's side. Is anyone else having this issue? I have a huge project with a deadline coming up soon, so this is incredibly frustrating, especially when I am paying monthly to use software that doesn't even work.

I'm not having that bug that you're experiencing, but I too have issues with AE 2020. I will be working on a project and then out of nowhere, it will select the grab tool for me. It's only in the area where you change panels or comps though, but it disables me from do anything in those areas other than dragging a panel. But essentially I have to restart every time it happens and it's happened several times and I can't afford to keep restarting all day so I'm working in 2019 still until they release an update to fix all the new bugs.

So frustrating! I'm curious to know, which operating system are you using? I was wondering if it might be directly related to Catalina on Mac.

Known bug on some Macs. Go to Project Settings and disable hardware acceleration. You can also try pressing Ctrl/Cmnd + r to bring up the rulers.

There are about a zillion threads on this forum with the same problem and solution.
