i recently got a new pc and went from windows 10 to windows 11. i had after effects 2023 on my old pc (windows 10) with no problems but as soon as i got my new pc (windows 11) i installed after effects 2023 and everytime i try to play a video it always gives me the low memory ram error and keeps crashing/glitching the preview. although, i installed previous versions such as 2022 and the 2021 versions and after effects works just fine. i have 32 gb of ram which is more than i had on my old pc with no problems. i looked thru the discussions and other ppl have this same issue so pls fix this🙏

I and many other people have the very same problem for a long time and not only in Win11. I can't even remember when was the last time I had AE running without any serious problem. If only Adobe made available version 2021 would help us a lot. I think that was latest version that was really stable. Ironically, I saw some folks at Adobe suggesting that we should try a beta release. No kidding!

Hi @j4114 & @Ulysses Oliveira,

Sorry to hear about the issue. Please share the following details so that we can diagnose the issue properly:

  • What are the details of the media (frame rate, frame size, format/codec) you're using?
  • Are there any third-party plug-ins in use?
  • Which GPU and GPU driver are you using?

We're here to help, just need more info.

Note: Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Nishu
