after effects bcc error

hello! please help me fix this plugin issue!

so ive had this problem for a few months and i couldnt fix it no matter what. im on macOs and i use after effects cc 2021.  my problem is that when i use the effect bcc damaged tv my after effects crashes while other bcc effects work perfectly fine for me. the error i face is in the following. ive tried using it on different layers (adjustment layer/ pre-comped layer etc), using it on different project files and even redownloading bcc but none of them helped. please help.

That error indicates an issue with an internal off-screen buffer in the plug-in itself. I suggest you contact Boris FX directly. Presumably you are using an unusual resolution that throws off their internal calculations to emulate noise and distortion patterns, which for all intents and purposes would be based around old PAL/ NTSC logic. In fact you might be able to fix it by using a different layer or composition size that better matches the old TV aspect ratios, but that's just a guess on my part.
